The longer I watch the more I realize that painting is almost 90% of the construction of a model. Having worked in the printing industry, I know that the visual aspect, what your eye thinks it sees, influences the entire image.
You coloring detail is everything. This project could be quite mundane, but the coloring makes it POP.
Ammo Product is far more all encompassing than I ever knew, what a wide variety of products from one source. ;-)

Hi ya Jason. Another great build. Whereas the “ wooden “ building magically came together, the “ brick“ building put up a fight. Lol. Thanks for showing us your happy accidents. In the end it’s a real stunner. With it’s patina roof. Oh…… your bottle of light green avocado is really jealous of your new green color, thicket. Lol. Light green avocado has been your go to green for a while now. Lol. Your color sense and palette are a huge reason your structures work so well with one another. Thanks for the update. See ya next time.

Jason, Thank you for yet another inspirational video.
Your advice about patience and not getting frustrated at mistakes is soooo true.
A mistake is an opportunity to make a kit or building unique, and have your stamp on it.
I am now going back over my earlier model building, and raising some weatherboards (clapboards in the States), and adding chipping paint. you have so many great ideas and thoughts.
    Cheers, and stay safe, Michael

@@JasonJensenTrains I do have a new project going. Work has halted on the subway station diorama in lieu of creating a monster for the Monster Bash 2021 on RUclips. Today, I think I am going to start over for the third time. I'm not formally invited to participate, but I am, because well, I want to see what I can do within the confines of the Monster Bash parameters. The cards I drew using the random card generator are, a television head man, a steak, a pipe, an acorn, a hairy shouldered arm holding an axe, a crescent moon and stars, and striped glove hand.
This week took a very emotional turn with a beloved pet, and I have a broken heart and a pit in my stomach. Anyway, I know I have a surprisingly cohesive idea for the build, I am struggling to execute it. A human with alleged evil intent may be too much for me to execute for my first real adventure in sculpting. I don't know, because I feel broken right now. I have some pictures on Instagram that are pretty sad, but one has to start somewhere!

Hey Jason ......thanks for sharing your work.....you and Doug were an inspiration to me during the pandemic..... I retired in December of 2019 as a licensed architect for 44 years only to be trapped in lockdown during the pandemic..... I purchased a kit from FOS scale models and started building structures in O scale to keep me busy.....after the first kit I realized I could do this without using a kit and started scratch building my structures using lumber from Northeastern scale lumber.....as an architect I built models during my career but hadn't built any in a long time...... I was a model train enthusiast since childhood and had trains growing up...... I built about a dozen structures some which I designed and some inspired from FOS kits and Carolina craftsman kits.... I used a program called SketchUp to create the models in my computer and them pulled dimensions from the models and hand cut each piece and painted and assembled them using your techniques as well as Doug's techniques...... North Eastern scale lumber posted my models on their Facebook page.....you can see them there.....
With that said I was wondering if you could recommend some paints from Ammo that you have been using on your models......thanks again Jason
      Regards
