Love it. Just purchased one of these for my garage gym. Glad I found your page. I am a 6'4" 320lb ex football lineman. So, I purchase quality equipment for my home gym. That assault runner from assault fitness is another nice piece of gear as well. I have one of those in my garage gym.
Thank you! I haven't had the chance to purely from lack of opportunity and budget. But definitely would like to take a look! I've been interested in the Peloton specifically to see if it works with bigger people or not.
NOTE TO COREY: Concept 2 sells an extra long monorail (this is the rail where the seat runs on that attaches to the fan/handle housing) for the erg, which will definitely give you a bit more legroom. You just have to special order it from them, and you can swap out the one you have now. Definitely give them a call and inquire. There have been 6’10” elite class rowers in the past. Currently one on the US Nat’l Team. 👍 Drag is just gearing. Higher drag= more torque on the lower back. If you know what you’re doing, you can get quite the workout with the fan at the 1 setting. Use the computer to set the Drag Factor to 120-135 (3-6 on most ergs depending on how mush dust is in the cage), which is what most serious male rowers use for training and testing.
I'm a big guy too and like you when I row my arms and elbows are inside my legs when I row. They say that proper form is keeping your arms an elbows outside your legs when you row. However, I find that I'm just too big to row in this fashion. Could you give your thoughts?
Totally agree! I have a big belly and it makes it really tough when you slide forward to keep proper form. I think if you plan to make it work with a rowing machine then flexibility is key and stretching before using the machine would be great, however it's part of the tall way of life that having longer legs and a bigger body makes it tougher to use properly.
@@FreakyTallReviews Love your videos. I am a rowing coach, and you don’t want to open your hips and put your arms on the inside (you can injure yourself). I am only 6’3” (female) but have 36 inseam. You actually need to use a butt pad to get your hip/butt up to get your posture correct. You will find your split will improve greatly. My butt pad is about 2 inches high. Hope this helps. If not, message me if I am not clear. Rowing is a tall persons sport! Glad to see you like the C2.
Fantastic video! I was debating between models, but I'm neither tall nor big so I have absolutely no reason to go for the tall leg model. It's probably just a greater trip hazard in my garage. ;-)
I didn't watch the video. Just thought it would be funny to watch a huge guy rowing. Just as a piece of info to anyone buying this machine "tall legs" on the Concept 2 have to the height of the floor to the height of the seat. It's closer to sitting in a chair than sitting on a rowing machine. It's for people with low mobility. Not taller people.
Hi there! so the max capacity is 500lbs so you would be right at the max, if not exceeding it. I will say that these ratings are usually for regular use, so if you put an extra pound on there it's not going anywhere, lol. This thing is built like a tank though so if there's a rower out there that can accommodate higher weight capacities I would think this is the one. I'm at 350lbs and there is ZERO wiggle whenI sit on it so it definitely holds true to that weight rating. Before you buy, I would definitely check into Concept's/Rogue's return policy in the event it doesn't work out for you. Would love to hear your thoughts if you end up getting it!
@@FreakyTallReviews ok thanks I went on there website, gonna order one next week so for sure I will let you know, also I'm having vsg surgery so my weight will be declining, I would have never known about this machine if I hadn't stumbled upon your video, I looked hard for a sturdy rowing machine everywhere, and couldn't find one
This is the standard machine, which is the Model D. The price difference to get the taller Model C just didn't make sense to me as once you're on the machines, they function exactly the same.

Thanks for this review. I wanted to see someone big use it before I made the purchase. I’m sold!
Glad you enjoyed! Definitely a great product for even the biggest of folk!
Excellent review and very professianly done , 6'5 300 pounds and you've just convinced me to buy one today
You are God send for tall people! Thank you!!
Love your channel brother - 6'4 - 250 and if it works for you it has worked for me! Make me feel medium sized. Thanks!
Thank you my friend! If you end up getting it I would love to know your thoughts on it!
@@FreakyTallReviews just ordered - in a few weeks I’ll let you know. Not concerned!

So appreciate this review. Answered every question I had and loved the presentation. Thank you!
Glad you liked it and it helped!!
I really like that rowing machine! Heavy duty!
Thanks, this is a great review
Nice, I’m 6’5” and was wondering if their “tall legs” version was necessary. Glad I didn’t waste the money (and space)!
Glad this video helped!
Thank you! Great review man. Have you tried the Peloton or Echelon or Styde bikes?

5'6" tall, 30" inseam, 32" waist. Lots of rail left when my legs are fully extended.
Thanks for this review I also subbed!!!
Glad you enjoyed it Ramon and welcome to the Freaky Tall family!

Bad ass video! What shoes are those you’re wearing in the video?
Thanks! Black Converse AllStars. I actually reviewed them in one of my first videos because they’re an awesome workout shoe!

I'm glad you enjoyed! Yes the price difference just doesn't seem worth it because once you're on it, the height of the machine doesn't matter.

Will there be more workout equipment videos?
I plan to! Just need to find more equipment to review!
Awesome, ty!! My husband is 6'8" and around 350 lbs.
This should work great for him then!
