a north america map sounds amazing - bison, moose, wolves, bears would be so fun. i think skins in the form of naturally occurring, common variations (like in planet zoo - piebalds, king cheetah, leucisitic, albino, melanistic, etc) would add a super fun customisation. Love the level of detail this game promises!
Personally, I’ve wanted a game like this for so long, but one that’s structured similarly to Wolf Quest in that you can play solo and have achievements and goals to strive towards and survive.
Right, when the territory part came up Wolf Quest pop in my head. Maybe the territory claims and battles would be similar, for example if a loner or another territory player wanders or comes to claim your territory you could fight but they could also retreat. It would be cool if the players could do this on their own, like other animal survival games, retreat or fight to the death.

The isle has a different problem though, and that's the devs. For one, they can't follow a roadmap at all. They had promised schedules and dates and all of that has gone out the window. For two, although they create really high quality textured and detailed graphics in their game the amount of time it takes for them to get out new content to the game so it can be a completed game and not stuck in Early Access for another 5 years is abysmal. The devs would be better off if they'd just hire on more talent to help out with getting this stuff done in a timely manner because this ain't it man.
This is so exciting. I thought Africa would be a great survival game, having grown uo on documentaries, and PoT has been a blast. But the features discussed here sound even more immersive. Encouraging migration by affecting water levels on the map over time sounds like a great idea to get players moving from one place to the next. Id love it if it happened in real time on the map, slowly. Path of Titans migration events are fun but theyre contrived because rain is broken, there are no server events in-game yet, and the environment doesnt change. Ive always thought they should focus on gameplay more than adding more dinos to the roster but hopefully in the future we can see more stuff. Meanwhile this game has some good ideas im excited to try.
Love your passion for PoT leads you to refer to playables as dinos :p this looks great but not sure my PC will handle it, everything has to be wound down to play PoT so I only really play PS4, so really hoping this will manage to migrate. Either way, really looking forward to your coverage of it and hopefully the devs will be making notes on your feedback when you do. Take care

Honestly the best way to force players to move around the map is herbivore migration which in return will force the predators to follow. Also gives a good chance for crocs to feed when migrations cross rivers.Will keep it interesting as carnivores will need to stay close to migration herds to feed but that also leaves their territories unprotected. man this game is exciting

Hopefully one day a game this cool will have a single player mode where you grow your pack or clan or pride to survive for an authentic experience. Looking forward to this game!
The only reason I started PoT is bc it was the only game in this kind of genre I'm aware of of this quality that's on console, I hope this one follows in PoT's footsteps! I love this kind of thing so much.

PLEASE make this come out on console, I don’t have a PC but I love games like this, I’ve been playing path of titans and I have been obsessed. I want the isle to come to console but I don’t have too much confidence that it will. If this comes to console it’ll make me so happy.

The problem with no AI is herbivores will starve when no herbivores are not around. So that’s a massive issue. Unless they add dead AI bodies on random locations. If not they will force people to basically log out to not starve.

Honey Badgers would be a wildcard of a carnivore. In comparison to Path of Titans, Honey Badger players would probably be like Pachy players. If anyone here knows anything about Honey Badgers and plays PoT you know why I make that comparison.

"Every dino you see" 😄 On a serious note, I would be a lot more interested in these games if there were actual AI animals, and you as the only player. The number one reason being, people do their own thing and don't behave how animals would behave. I wish we could have something like Wolfquest again, but more advanced, where you actually meet... other wolves, and take your wolf through its life cycles. Just running around with a bunch of other roleplayers as you drink and eat is not fun.
