I think he meant that there was nothing on, other than cartoons, on Saturday morning - so everybody watched cartoons on Saturday, b/c there was nothing else to watch.
@@cambricjimenez4882 Some of us bothered to look this stuff up and be interested in hearing what my parents/grandparents were into. Go Bots, M.A.S.K., Silver Hawks, Centurions, Bionic Six, Defenders of The Earth, BraveStarr, Volton, and G.I. Joe was most definitely my childhood in the 80s.
If you know one of these, you have to know all of them. All of these are still very fresh in my mind. Almost feel like I can't wait to see the next episode tomorrow. Respect to the one kid who said he loved 80s cartoons and stood on business. Many of those cartoons were pseudo-advertisements for toylines. Toys are the first storytelling device we give to our kids, so giving them toys that have a lore behind them let kids make their own stories with established characters. Yes, most 80s cartoons were good guys fighting bad guys. That's how a whole generation grew up wanting to be real-life heroes, like Fireman, Police officers, enlist in the military etc. He-Man a show called 'Bravdstarr' had a 'moral to the story' short at the end of each show, giving kids advice on how to be better people. Duck Tales is also a VERY good game for the NES that is not overly difficult but still challenging and very fun, there's remaster on Steam too, WAY worth it
There were Saturday morning cartoons like the Smurfs and then they started showing cartoons later on weekdays also, like Thundercats, Silverhawks, GI Joe.
It’s probably common knowledge by now but the dungeons and dragons characters cartoon characters appear in in dungeons and dragons honor among thieves movie

I don't know if I should feel sad that these kids don't know these shows, or if I should just feel old that I recognized like all of them, even if I didn't see every episode or even most of the episodes of some of them. And again like another video I just saw with this premise it's really weird they recognized the kiddy shows and completely missed the ones aimed at actual teens in the 80s/90s. Are modern teens just being treated like kids for so long they only recognize kiddy shows?
I can't believe they couldn't recognize little goku I mean look at his hairstyle, it didn't change at all when it becomes adult lol. Although this is old video not new.
