      @@Jumpman67yeah especially if it was uploaded and pushed right away. Takes a while on YT's end to get it all indexed and optimized. Even for short videos.

    I am a nurse practitioner who left a good paying full time job because of sexual harassment. After 25 years at one company, I took a leap and applied for all sorts of jobs. I was truly bored in my last NP job along with the horrible, icky harassment by my two physician colleagues. Everything just seemed to fall into line once I had the courage to quit and make a change, even though I really had no plan at that time (but lots of savings$$, to get by awhile thankfully). Now I work in a hospital-based urgent care which is never something I ever planned to do. I love it so much. I am way more capable than other people in my life have led me to believe. I have been bullied and beat down. Keep going. Keep being honest with yourself. Sending good vibes out to the Universe for your time to come!

    @dbalemon - When dealing with imposter syndrome I always think of a quote from Jim Rohn. It's a paraphrase but it helps, "The main question to ask, isn't what are you getting. The main question to ask is, what are you becoming". It's so easy to not feel accomplished or good enough without getting or hitting some kind of goal. However we must remember that the steps we are taking to become the person that will hit those goals is what makes us worthy. You are not an imposter, you are just on the journey to becoming who you've set out to be and every day you are more and more that person. Keep up the great work ❤

    Don’t get too obsessed with making a $200,000 income. The majority of millionaires only earn $50,000 annually. They just live on less than they make, don’t use credit cards, only buy used cars, and invest their extra money into 401ks, Roth IRAs, and real estate instead of liabilities. The reality is that the more money you make, THE MORE MONEY YOU SPEND.

    One other thing I would recommend (not that you asked but from my own experience)…be open and tell your partner what you are going thru. In a committed
    relationship, we shouldn’t be hiding from our partners. It’s better to come clean now than when it’s too late.

    I suffer from dysmorphia too. I don't have a spending problem but I'm overcome with negative thoughts about my appearance and those thoughts keep me from doing a lot things and they severely affect my confidence. I rarely look in the mirror or at pictures of myself because it causes me too much distress. Editing a RUclips video of myself would be an impossible task. Not comparing to say my condition is worse or anything just to say that the same problem impacts me in a different way and I really understand how painful it is to live with this issue.

    • @dbalemon
      @dbalemon  2 месяца назад +1

      I wish I had great advice but I only have what I have learned so far.
      Start a channel on a topic you’re incredibly passionate about, something you can talk about for hours and know intimately, and be honest.
      I thought my videos would get less than 100 views for a while and I was okay with that. I had kind of hoped for it because I was so honest, I thought by the time people found me those would be buried.
      I watch a lot of Think Media and Jay Clouse’s RUclips videos for RUclips learning.

  • @gnosticallyspeaking3544
    @gnosticallyspeaking3544 2 месяца назад +2

    I think you are well on the way. Your presentation seems very honest and very passionate. Might suggest that you make as many sales pitches in person as possible. Maybe by live video is adequate also. Most people typically don't eventually buy by the idea or product or even buy by the benefit. Most often by the person selling. Think with the right pitch, you'll have a big advantage. Biggest risk I see is that you get overloaded with stuff. Maybe set initial sights reasonably lower. If you just get a few new accounts. Then under promise and over deliver. These satisfied new accounts will refer other new accounts. Then these plus organics and you get a compounding effect going. But the key is under promise and over deliver. If you get one unsatisfied customer, have to do a major analysis. Think your chances of getting there are excellent.

    The hustle culture leads to more money, sure, but then Lifestyle Creep leads to that bigger house, bigger mortgage, bigger bills, a family, nicer cars, great schools, then you have to hustle even more to keep it all going. It can be exhausting. Sometimes less really is more. We have all the former (now in our fifties) and only have our mortgage remaining as debt. but we tell our children to go smaller and have more money to enjoy things. It’s never been about keeping up with anyone else to show off, you just grow up being told these things make you a success and are expected. Honestly our consumption is lead by others who want to take our money away for themselves. Don’t fall for it! 😂

    Hun i honestly think you are not being real enough with yourself yet, and I get it because getting real with your circumstances can be mentally crippling. The fear aspects you talked about…you didn’t even mention the fear of the debt getting further stacked whilst you waste your time learning skills you’ll probably never earn money from or use again (website building etc). Cut that crap and go on upwork or one of those platforms where your small to medium sized company customers are already. Remember you are offering a service based business and this sort of business relies totally on reputation. You will not get that on a stand-alone website. Also just start hustling and save the learning for when you have a paying client and at that point work doubly hard to learn and produce quality work that will earn you the reputation.

It’s all about measuring your marketing efforts with analytics. God Tier Ads is great for PPC management but you need to have knowledge of the platform first.

    Sounds like your biggest problem is your relationship with your boyfriend. How can "open yourself up to the world" and yet not to the person you share your bed? Doesn't make sense. Your most important financial decision is who you share your life with.

    • @Lyndsay_bee
      @Lyndsay_bee Месяц назад

      I think it makes more sense to share with the world and not the people you’re closest to. Debt and money is a very embarrassing shameful thing to most, especially when it’s only your debt and not mutual debt. It wasn’t until I paid off all my debt, that I was able to comfortably talk about it with my boyfriend.

      I disagree! That’s almost double the income. If she builds habits like budgeting, automatic savings, automatic investments, paying off debt etc. having that extra $90,000 a year will make a HUGE difference. She clearly enjoys having nice things and if she can enjoy those things in moderation while ALSO achieving her financial goals then that’s LIVING. It’s okay to not want to be frugal.

    Transparency is good and well but continuing to chase trust fund babies/millionaires as an arm candy isn’t going to improve your real worth. The underlying issue is you haven’t changed. You just shifted from manic spending state to a money manic state without actually resolving the real issue. No amount of money will fix that and it will cause you to jump from relationship to relationship looking for your worth.
