I knew a guy who was a Sealy (mattress) licensee. Sealy Inc. screwed him, so he filed an antitrust lawsuit. They didn’t learn…kept on screwing him. After about 10 years, the guy (Ernie Wuliger) won his third antitrust case against Sealy. The couldn’t pay the $120 million so Ernie got the entire company. A few years lalater he sold it for $980 million (over $2 billion today). Moral of the story: arrogant companies who ignore antitrust laws do so at their own peril.

Goodell is drunk with power.
He was able to shut Gruden up. I never thought I’d see the day. They did him so dirty.

The owner of the Mucky Duck is a lifelong Raiders fan, he did this to get payback on Roger Goodell for screwing the franchise over throughout the years and luckily for him his timing couldn’t be better seeing the NFL is conducting shady business practices
If its Goodell theyre after theyll have to stand in line...funny but nobody has anything bad to say about Paul Tagliabue or Pete Rozelle.
Raider Karma. Al Davis gained full control of the Raiders by screwing Wayne Valley and his other original partners. Years later, he scammed the City of Irwindale for $10 million by pretending he would seriously consider their offer to be the home of the Raiders.
@@kellydriskill7197 eh rozelle had some controversies but they weren’t as publicized without social media the way it is there was a debacle about him not canceling games after Kennedys assassination and Rozelle/Davis was seen in a similar light as Goodell/Kraft Goodell definitely has a lot more controversy surrounding him but there’s also a bit of survivor/nostalgia bias
Didn't they blackout Raiders games on National TV due to attendance numbers also?

If anyone remembers not all games were on TV’s back when it first came out. The game had to be sold out. I used to buy that package to watch my Eagles 🦅 away games. Tell you the truth I don’t feel sorry for the NFL. There greedy $300 a ticket in nose bleed seats. Then you have drunken a$$ holes around you. The reason I stay home. It’s a business.
I never thought I would agree with an Eagles fan but I agree with you.

I have said for years they needed individual team packages.
Even if it was half the price but I get all my team games… I’d buy. Makes getting to watch the rest of the 31 teams for only double a great deal!
I would love to get a package for just my team.
@@HippyHousethey would make way more $$
Anybody who doesn't think the NFL will just raise the rates of merchandise to compensate for their losses is delusional. The fans will still end up hurting, not the NFL.
Exactly it's not going to change anything. First of all it's going to be tied up in appeal process for at least a decade if not longer. Trust me the NFL ain't going to lose a dime
They lost 4.7 billion
@@miguelrojas1686And you’ll pay an extra 30 bucks for your jersey.
Ummm here is a crazy thought... Do Not Buy the merchandise!.. lol you act as if someone is forced to buy a jersey .. if a customer wants to spend an extra $5 or even $20 for a jersey that is their choice.. their body their choice..
I really hope the appellate courts are unkind to the NFL. They are so damn grubby it's insane.
Ending the Around The NFL Podcast was a Mark Sanchez level butt fumble from NFL media
How does it make sense for the NFL to owe more than 8 TIMES AS MUCH AS BOEING DOES FOR DEFRAUDING THE US GOVERNMENT over something like Sunday Ticket?!?! No one died over a TV package...
Relax before Boeing reps start knocking at your door. That's the difference.
@@FreddPhucksfr 😂
But your point is 100% valid Jeremy
Ahem one is a defense contractor the other one isn't.
Right. No one ever dies from copyright and claim it as original. So people should still do it and get paid right even if not original??
Say it after me. BOEING IS A GOVERNMENT CONTRACTOR. they can do as they please. Including taking out whistle blowers. These people run our country. Not us.
As someone who lives in the UK and married to someone who's an avid football(soccer) fan this is very amusing. There is literally no provision over here to watch any game other than the ones the big sports broadcasting channels are showing. And for some reason broadcasting early afternoon games on a Saturday is 'illegal'!
We wish we had ANYTHING like the sunday ticket out here in ye old archaic and ancient england.
Oh boy… I thought refs fixing games would destroy NFL. But Sunday Ticket settlement could set the league back
Yeah well there's at least a decade if not double that that it's going to be tied up in the appeal process so I don't know why everybody's getting all excited about it😂😂
This will do nothing to hurt the NFL. People are still gonna get Sunday Ticket, especially if it's cheaper.
@@WyomingchiefMaybe if people stopped getting the package for Fing once, that would help.
@@lexis4490 What other options do they have? A long time ago, satellite TV owners could watch any NFL game broadcast by every network. That option also died a long time ago.
@@DankBirdGang52Pfft. You can get every game you want if you stream with a VPN. For free.
The fact that some people still pay for the Sunday Ticket is bizarre.
Dude this is going to be tied up in appeals and everything else that number one nobody's going to see any money for at least a decade if not longer. And honestly I doubt there's going to be much change in the terms of service or the way they offer it😂😂

man i miss waking up as a kid and seeing the old NFL Sunday ticket commercials

Lol and this is where the Federal Government steps in and reminds the Plaintiffs that the big 4 (NFL, NBA, MLB and NHL) are covered by several anti monopoly exemptions (this is why their drug testing policy is under Fed oversight, that was part of the condition for the immunity). Nothing to see here. Appeals will take another 5-10 years, and the verdict will likely be overturned or greatly reduced. Trial judge went on record saying the lawsuit was weak and unlikely to hold.
Liberal Illuminati judge. The word not mentioned is: drum roll please - monopoly.
As a fantasy football player I love watching all games. I wouldn’t mind paying for the bigger package if I were actually allowed to watch every game on there instead of having to have Amazon, Netflix, RUclips premium, and like 4 other streaming services to watch the few games they stream elsewhere. If I’m paying that much, I want every single game regardless of when or where they’re playing. Including when my Steelers come to Florida to play the dolphins, jaguars, or Bucs, so I don’t have to pay for cable too
The NFL Cartel is in league with other cartels such as:
The Federal Reserve Bank
Police Union Cartel
Petrochemical Cartel
Big Pharma Cartel
Democrat Republican anti- third party Cartel
The NFL is the only professional sports organization (at least in North America) where the actual games played by the teams that compose the League are secondary entertainment to everything that goes on off the field.
What's the over/under for days till nfl/directv gets "hacked", causing them to lose the database of previous sunday ticket customers?
Good. What the NFL did SHOULD be criminal. As a loyal Sunday Ticket subscriber for over a decade.. finding out that they were driving up the price to compete.. with themselves.. is INSANELY greedy.
Not the evil twin brother💀😭
That shit is cringey
Fun fact Jon Taffer from bar rescue invented the nfl Sunday ticket
I would have gotten Sunday ticket in the past especially when I was going to school in New York under student living so I could watch my Carolina Panthers play. But it was only available if you purchased direct tv which I couldn’t have done if I wanted to living temporarily in schools dorms and apartments. Back then my home still had direct tv and I still couldn’t use it in NY bc I wasn’t under the same Wi-Fi as the receiver 😠
A big thing i think that makes the nfl, football so popular is its only once a week. So if you want to watch your favorite team. You only have one chance a week to do so. Where in baseball you can watch your team play almost every day. So of you miss a game you can watch another one the next day.
Thank u for dropping it right when i was about to it ❤
'Murica's game! Nothing without profit! You pay for the tickets, you pay for your cable, you pay for your jersey's and you pay to watch games of your favorite team. The NFL has the most restrictive setup for watching....like when they made you get Peacock last year to watch one of the playoff games. They may as well just put everything on PPV ala carte and you can pick and choose.....like a parlay! LOL.
The evil twin brother comment has me dead 😂
Very few things would make me as happy as the NFL facing financial hardship.
Why would someone born in Texas want to move to Los Angeles? Lol.
If the stadiums are paid by our tax dollars we deserve to watch these games for free without having to subscribe to a million different services
Mike you are incredibly talented Keep up the great work
As a Fins fan who lives in NE, their distribution strategy sucks. Just let me spend $100 a year or something to watch the team I want, rather than making me pay for all of them.
So fan friendly, they exclusively put games on streaming networks….
i would love to see football, basketball and baseball ALL go under and never play another game again. it's not about the game anymore. it's about cheating and controlling outcomes to make more money, and the players don't give fk about the fans.
Crazy how hard working lower class men played it as a past time and it has been usurped by fuckwads with too much money, zero wisdom.
Also, black out rules are archaic. NFL knows the Sunday ticket was coop with Directv. They already admitted it was wrong. It is no longer exclusive.
What about all the people who bought Sunday Ticket last year (like myself) and then couldn't get the game(s) that were exclusive to Peacock? The Sunday Ticket package is being sold/marketed that you can get ALL games with it. NOT TRUE!
Keep doing what you’re doing. I love your videos. Thank you for making my day good
Thank goodness that I root for the local team and they always have them on tv. Except on nights when they are on cable that I refuse to pay for so I get to listen to the Packers on the radio
It’s painful being a fan of any team that isn’t the current IT team. Right now the IT team is the Chiefs. The NFL doesn’t have as much parity as believed.
Greed is a shady business , especially when it gets sunny out (someone bring it to the light)
Bars were packed when the bars were the only ones with the Ticket.
This is before the people catch on to the refs rigging games and other complete degeneracy…and you all clowned me when I said if the nfl keeps on this pace they’ll be an afterthought in 15 years
The team owners will need to tighten their belts. Somehow, they're going to have to tell their QBs that they're just going to have to get by on a measly $10 million per year LOL
You buy Thee Sheild, you get Thee Sheild.
Queue the Rock and Oprah to purchase it for pennies.
Yup, I got my 3 years of email receipts screen capped an ready to go!!!
Nah I’m with you on this one, at any point in my there are 30 teams idgaf about… and the only time I care about the other 1 is when they play my team. The value is probably great if I wanted to see every game but I don’t!
Put it this way. Jerry Jones owns like a s*** ton of land in Highland Park, Dallas taxes. One of the richest areas in Dallas, he has a helicopter pad in 24 hour, 7 days a week. Security and 10 foot walls all around his property. Next.
To a gentleman's club where you have to be filthy.Rich to join.He doesn't even have to leave his house
There's nothing 'fan friendly' about SundaynTicket.if it were, you'd be able to watch YOUR TEAM play regardless of who is playing. And thats just not the case at all.
This lawsuit seems ridiculous to me. It’s not a requirement to watch football and the market accepted the product by paying for it. If people didn’t want to pay for it and it wasn’t profitable, they would have adjusted.
I understand the idea of the legal argument, I just don’t agree that it’s correct.
I am fed up with mike complaining about being a fan of a team that makes the playoffs every year
When i was living at home we went out and got an RCA dish when the ticket was started but that was 94 thru 2000. I loved it tho
Nobody will knock NFL down a peg but the NFL itself
I mean they should stay in CBS, FOX, NBC for SNF, Prime for TNF.
I’ve always been fine with that, we’ve never needed to watch all the games, just Bills football and the next best game.
7:59 “fan friendly” is not accurate to describe their package offerings
Surely they have an insurance policy in place.
They’re about to start fining players like Oprah giving away cars./ The Cowboys valuation is laughable and sus at best. Just wait for Roger Goodell and the owners to completely destroy any remaining goodwill from fans.
Online feeds faster than NFL Redzone.
Never thought I’d see the day that the NFL is in trouble, crazy.
NFL ticket has always been a joke to me, now I wish I got it so I can get some of this settlement money haha.
Hopefully we can still watch football in the end….
Yeah i know i hope we can
Beers and dogs will now be 25$ at the game, they won't lose a dime
Controversial idea
Why can’t we watch any game at any time. Screw out of market blackouts
We believe that our media distribution strategy is fan friendly. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂. It’s a simple Strategy. It would be like if McDonald’s only sold meals. You cannot go there and just get a big Mac you had to get the fries in the drink every time it’s ridiculous and any normal business would go under with that kind of strategy.
You want a big mac, but they give you a cheeseburger, because that is what is available in your market.
The thumbnail 💀
Just wait for the next CTE settlement (yes, it’s only a matter of time). How much will your old high school or college be willing to pay to settle lawsuits for that dead, brain damaged, or crippled young person?
Why on earth are fines levied against lousy companies like adobe, Apple, Microsoft, google and so on….all of these companies and more are doing the same shady ass shit with regard to consumer rights. Zero fucks are given by these predatory anti consumer groups
This is why my dad buys red zone
They profited 13.7 billion. I think they’re alright, especially with all the unnecessary advertising they have.
I get Nfl +. 100 bucks a year. I have to wait till the game is over, but i don't care. I can watch EVERY game, and with the condensed version no freaking commercials or stupid commentary.
Fine by me
They should’ve just been letting us buy the games PPV all along.
Mike the best sports creator out there
If judged strictly by play the only sport slower then football is golf. And in golf the network can go from player to player offering non stop action. So never mind, football is the slowest sport on earth😅
@mike Excellent reporting.
I was not a huge fan but they really lost me when they became the kNeeling Football League.
So let me get this straight, because the NFL offers all the teams for one price, instead of one time for a lower price, like the MLB and NBA they lost a 4 billion dollar lawsuit? Seems like the jury just hates the NFL. This is like suing McDonalds for not offering Chalupas.
Never had to pay for games i stream them for free🤫
Fuck this all. I've been sailing the seas for years now. hop aboard.
Get RUclips TV and change your zip code to a town in whatever state you wanna watch a game for
I gotta figure out how to get my name on that list.
A Ravens fan in California… makes seeing my games few & far between.
Its just a game, nobody is forcing you to watch. I haven't watched the nfl, nba, or nba in years for this exact reason
What goes around comes around. They’ve screwed me and others over for years.
Well now you'll be lucky to see one game of any sport on basic cable. They use to play a lot more games on TV. They getting cheap and greedy
Them big salary cap jumps that was projected from media income isn't likely tohappen. Player contacts will be a big problem and might reset the whole market. That Trevor Lawrence Lawrence contract among others will be huge.
Good for them. The only good thing about the NFL is, it brings people together. They are over paid, the league is to soft, and it’s Scripted.
i dont think its scripted, but i think it might be a bit (more than a bit) rigged
NBA has become so boring since Shaq, Kobe, McGrady, AI, Carter retired and the big name athletes stopped competing in dunk contests.
side note: madden will not bring the nfl any revenue in this year either with ncaa dropping on top of everything 🤣🤣🤣
I'm sure that the NFL has insurance
They don't even need insurance, first of all it's going to be tied up and appeal process for at least a decade. And by the time they figure something out trust me the NFL will have made up the money somehow the only person this is going to cost is the consumer
@@Wyomingchief It's going to cost the consumer regardless. This appeal will be swift but I know that the Lions have been asked for the money already and I believe insurance is involved.
The NFL will just pay off the Supreme Court.
NFL is just fine, keep in mind they have trended up for years now. That trend will continue.
It’s another Corporate SCAM-Par For the Course!!!
Being super greedy aka charging like 500$ for Sunday ticket at home and like $6,000 for a bar.. I mean the NFL already makes billion upon billions.. how much is fkn enough?? It's the one thing in my 42 years of being alive that I've noticed the most is how greedy companies have gotten.. I mean a 20oz sprite costs more then a gallon of fkn gas.. let that sink in
