Thank u Craig. Happy to here more videos on the way, looking forward. Thanks again, God bless
Thanks I’m working on a 62 c10 and we finally came up with black cherry. Glad I found you just learned a lot.
I've been a fan of yours for years Mr Fraser. I saw the custom lowrider you painted in Daytona Beach many years back in fact it almost got stuck in the sand. Gave me just enough time to admire the work before it scooted its way out of the hole. It's one thing to see it in the magazines but in person it inspired me to begin airbrushing. I love your work man. You inspired me to pick up the iwatas and put them to work
Thank you for sharing and watching!
Thanks for doing these videos. I'm an artist (painter/sculptor) trying my hand at airbrushing. Also, I'm doing a build on an old motorcycle and plan on some artwork in the painting stage. Been using Createx Detail colors so far. I like the handling and spray characteristics better than Wicked colors. Haven't tried the Auto-Air or Candy2o line yet. Still learning the basics with the Detail colors. I have a long background in the paint industry at the technical end, and I gotta say, I'm pretty impressed with the Createx paint and additives I've used. Looking forward to more learning and explorations in the Auto-Air and Candy 2o line. You guys rock!
Thanks for the demonstration 😎👍
Craig, Great video! What is the airbrush your using in this one?

What basic candy colors would you recommend in getting? I don't really want to spend a lot of money so if I can mix basically every color with only a few then that would be great.
Hello. candy2o 4680 Primary Set is the most basic set with inter-mixable, primary colors. Please note, many, if not all candy2o colors are specific, unique dyes rather than inter-mixes from a primary set of dyes. It is not possible to mix the entire range of candy2o from the colors in the 4680 Primary Set. Thank you.
I love the color mix! What: would you do if you wanted to add pearl ? What color? Would you add just pearl ( if you have that) or is there a color paint/pearl mix? And wouldn't that take away some of the effect that candy will give you?
Hello. Please excuse our delayed reply. We recently made a new tech sheet for candy2o with mixes for candy-pearl colors. For a free copy, please email us at info@createxcolors.com. Thank you.
I want to paint an electric guitar in a color shift paint. Does Colortex have color shift paints or powders? I'm used to working with oil-based paints on guitars (not that I've done a lot), but what type of paint would you use on a guitar, and is it okay to put several coats of clear on top of the color shift paint? I'm having a hard time finding color shift paints that won't break my bank account. Automotive paints can be ridiculously high. I found some at a local automative paint store that was about $300 for 4 ozs. Then, Rustoelum has a color shift in spray cans but they say not to put clear on top of it as it will diminish the shift effect. On a guitar I definitely want clear on it for protection and to get the factory mirror shine. Any advice you have would be appreciated. I'm checking your web site now. Is pearl your color shift product?
We've a few color-shift colors available in our Wicked Colors line, wickedairbrushcolors.com/pearl-flakes, W450 through W453. Thank you.
At the end the way the light hit it the center look silver an the tips did also don't know why but it looked pretty good as well something to think about
Thank you for watching
How do you suggest I get the edge buildup to not be so bad. It seems to be too thick when you add so many candy layers. Thoughts?
Edge build-up isn't an issue. Each coat is ~ 0.5-mil wet / 0.25-mil dry. Also, when mixed with 4050 UVLS Gloss Clear, surface tension is minimal so the candy color is not building at the panel edge. createxcolors.com/scenix-mural-theme-paint/uvls-clears/4050.html. Thank you.
That is very interesting. So is there a base coat that makes it dark but brings out color too IAM confused. Is gold or sliver or sum color the best
There is no best, candy colors, being 100% transparent, will have a different value and chroma over varying base hues. A aluminum/silver base creates a much different candy red compared to applying over a metallic gold base.
@@CreatexColors So flat black won't work Ok I think I have watched a few you're videos I think it was you. I saw one the guy did a black base turned out alright I want it dark but too still come out with other color.
Can you use the candy paints for plastic model cars? Or is it just to spray on metal?
Hello. candy2o work excellent over a wide variety of substrates including most certainly plastics such as polycarbonate RC body molds and harder polystyrene plastics. for a candy2o tech guide, please email us at info@createxcolors.com. Thank you.
WHAT HAPPEN IF YOU GO NOW OVER WITH JUST ONE COAT OF BLACK CANDY ?
How about using Candy Blood Red and Candy Dirt Track Brown to create this color?
All candy2o colors are inter-mixable. Craig is showing a few color mixes, many more are possible. Thank you.
Hey craig, Where can I get the Gun?
The TH2 is a new airbrush Iwata is releasing later this year. For information, please visit www.iwata-airbrush.com.
Can you spray it with a clear coat after its painted?
Yes, please refer to our Hard Surface & Automotive Application Guide available at www.creatextech.com. A 2k urethane clear or Createx UVLS Clears will work well. Thank you.

Спасибо узнал много интересного .
Excellent. Great to know these videos are helpful. Thanks.
Another great Vid, Craig! I have watched almost all of the video's you have made, including your DVD's and you are a great teacher. Big shout out to Createx, great products! I have some pictures of gas tanks (MC) and the guy did an old school flame (Black) over what looks to me to be a blended silver-ish orange to tangerine. He got a real deep 3-D effect. I know using shadows and color help achieve that depth. The most dramatic I've seen. I do airbrushing now that I'm retired (getting ready to hit that 70 mark in April) as a hobby, and I want to be able to get that depth of perspective in my artwork. It'd be great to get to watch you show us how to get that feel of depth. Like to image: www.hdforums.com/forum/sportster-models/550975-show-us-your-skull-paint-jobs.html#&gid=1&pid=7 Much appreciation to you and to Createx (only paint I use in my Airbrush, it's great, fantastic colors, easy to mix etc., Love it!)
Thank you! We've more Candy Color Theory videos planned with Craig, which were scheduled to be made the first week of April, but that's on-hold until we're all safe to travel again, which hopefully is sooner than later.
can you use the candy colors on canvas
Yes, candy2o works well onto canvass. As the canvass is a bit more of a flexible surface compared to automotive, we recommend 4030 Balancing Clear (not 4050 UVLS Gloss Clear) for mixing with candy2o when painting canvass. Thank you.
