I prefer the 616 origin in which Lucifer cripples Xavier. In the Ultimate Universe Magneto crippled Xavier and it was a change I didn't like because it established a personal grudge Charles could ostensibly have towards Magneto -- a grudge transcending their philosophical and moral differences. I feel like that unnecessarily muddies their conflict and de-emphasizes the essential ideological antagonisms between them. Although, it would have been interesting if it was Cain who had crippled him. It might have made Juggernaut feel more intrinsically connected to the X-Men.

Lol I am glad that in later retcons established Xavier and Erik working together overseas, and he established was crippled by licifer, I think, and also established the origin of Legion
