Loads of useful craft info crammed in as usual! I desperately needed something like this when I was sanding down aluminum wheels for paint. Especially tight corners in between spokes. My fingers were dead every single day for weeks. I think I would make a bunch of DIY'd heads with various grits already laid out ready to swap in. You can tell the (assuming japanese) designers were craft builders themselves. Balance is the most important thing here for precision work

The light is helpful for when you are buffing out scratches, it helps you see if the scratches are still there by holding the light at an angle.
I paint a lot of guitar bodies and necks and have a sanding block that has a light for this purpose.

The pen sander works great on wood. I used it on a wooden ship model and it saved me hours of hand sanding. I haven't tried it on plastic because I haven't needed to sand that much.

Where does he get all those wonderful toys? He watches Barbatos Rex channel...... You always find the coolest stuff my friend. I just ordered one and it is going make my life so much better. I do a lot of 3D printing and sanding those tight corners and spaces with my man hands has always been a pain. This is going to get my parts into primer so much faster. If you have ever sanded a Mandolorian Jetpack you understand my point.

one thing I'm spotting immediately, the dial is also the power switch, which is ending up a lot more fiddly in use than it needs to be. I'd like to be able to pick a setting and keep it there instead of having to pick the right spot every time I turn it on.

I bought the Proxxon version of this a couple of years back (corded though, but variable speed separate from power button which is nice). What I found was that I went through, literally, the sand paper very quickly for what I was doing. Attaching the sandpaper with foam tape helped with that quite a bit, made them last a wee bit longer.
Unfortunately it has spent 99% of its life in cupboard as it's a pretty niche tool that doesn't come in handy for me very often.

Love your Maiden canteen in the background there. I originally read the book of revelations when I was 15, because I thought 7th son of a 7th son was based on it, found out a few years back it was based on a book series from Orson Scott Card. I’ve also listen to or read many other novels, poems or movies like Brave new world, Dune, Rime of the Ancient Mariner, Clansman. The Prisoner is on my list. “We want information!” “Who are you?” “I am not a number, I’m a free man!”

These look great for sanding down nubs and doing potential seam removals on models. But I should test out the potential of this tool when it comes to seam removal for cosplay reasons, it looks a lot more gentler than the dremel.

That's looks like a pretty useful sander for someone who works on big projects, but for someone like me who builds one model at a time, elbow grease would be more sensible. However, I did like the tip. It could be used to make your own sanding sticks or sponges.

Just a heads up! Behr paints is releasing some new spray can colors in the near future. the product is rolling into stores now, it's some interesting stuff. new textured paints, new primary color metallics, and what's most interesting to me, CHROMES! they're the urethane alkyd sprays that they make. I tried testing the gold chrome when i saw it at work but i didnt exactly have nice pieces to spray on, so i could only see how they looked on cardboard. im really hoping the chrome looks halfway decent since ive found behr spray paints to be the most durable i've used so far.

but this would be perfect for lightly sanding some of my 3D printed parts rather then just using a FILE so the Dremel doesnt EAT IT. lmao.
and i like how its USB rechargeable vs removing the battery pack to charge it - like my dremel.
