- Hi there, I'm Eileen. My life was once incredibly chaotic-- I shopped a lot, I overworked, I let toxic people ruin my wellbeing, and my wardrobe was a mess. Thankfully, I stumbled upon minimalism about 4 to 5 years ago. Since then I've simplified many areas of my life and I've been able to remove 90% of the chaos. The part about toxic people is so true. I have a family member who is just so frustrating for me to be around. I've just started to avoid her and have figured out the best ways to shut her down when she gets out of control. Setting boundaries with people like this is so important!

Love your videos! The point about identifying and minimizing toxic relationships really hit home for me. Forming boundaries is SO difficult, esp if the other person ignores & mocks them. I've learned to form boundaries with myself with these types of people - being honest and realistic about my limits/expectations/needs/wants etc and honoring these boundaries in situations where other people are being consistently disrespectful. Then I can focus my energy/time on relationships with non-toxic, mutually respectful & loving people. It's kinda like relationship minimalism lol and it works!

Re shopping sites: i made Wishlists of key Seasonal Items before black friday & boxing day. Because I was subscribed by email I was alerted ahead of time when items were marked down& sold out. I managed to get a much desired wardrobe replenishment/ up grade with out giving in to FOMO impulse overspending. A little planning can go a long way. I agree site emails can be overwhelming but if priority is given to a select few you can save money and stress. Great vidi! And love the stripes on you I wished I looked that chic in them 😎☕💋

I have never been on Social Media and I don't plan to get started. I am turning 67 this month. My dilemma is how to declutter my RUclips subscriptions. I started watching RUclips during the pandemic. Any suggestions? I also need to unsubscribe to retailers that I constantly get emails from. Thank you for what you do.

If I am buying anything and they ask for my email address I just tell them that I don't have one. Before now I have told shops that I don't have a phone either. Yes I am telling lies but it's better than being bombarded with messages and calls.
