Yeah, I used to think his gear was wack, but it looks cooler now than Crockett's outfits. The lapels are a little wide, but it fits him perfectly, like a glove.
This show had it all. Great acting, great plots, great music, great style, and it effortlessly alternated between hilarity and almost unbearable tension.
It was one of the first series to have a strong arc of character development throughout its run, particularly with regards to Crockett. Even in long-running series of the time, most characters were basically static and unchanging, but Crockett begins "Miami Vice" as a youthful, energetic cop, still optimistic despite having seen the dark side of his job on numerous occasions, and believing with great idealism that he can make a difference. Eventually, however, the anger and pain caused by the betrayal and/or loss of nearly everyone he cares about lead to his dark side taking him over. Finally, both he and Tubbs realize that they cannot really create change within a corrupt system and choose to free themselves from it. The only other character with an equivalent arc is Switek (although it does not really start until the final season of the show).
So true. MV was quite a saga of a buddy cop show with a beginning, middle, & end. Quite frankly the show was a zeitgeist of the 1980s pop culture. It flew off in the 80s and it faded out with the 80s as it transitioned into the next decade.
Man every time the guy in the bed kept pointing his gun at the other guy like it was his finger was killing me. Even drugged out criminals should show muzzle discipline! Lol Gotta love the unnecessary chase when he could have just circled the first tree.
Exactly, thank you for this comment. He could have just circled the first tree, hide behind it and shoot the guy, the guy would have to stop and he would basically be immobilized in the car.
Oh just another shift in Miami Back to work by lunch ! Love these old cop shows. Someone with more time than me had to add up the number of OIS’s Crocket and Tubbs were in for the series
Tubbs wasn't too smart, he ran past about 700 trees during that chase and he could have just stood behind one of those bigger ones. The car couldn't turn short enough to hit him and it sure could run the tree down.
The best line was in the diner. Bookie: “How you doing guys?” Punk: “na na na na na! Beat it, dad” Season 1 is the best and then the Prodigal Son double. Some episodes are uncool with unrealistic storylines. It starts to fall apart during Season 3 and 4 is awful. 5 gets good again but Season 1 is magic.
Hi I loved how sonny can in the nick of tim driving his Ferrari & cuts off the Cadillac & sonny says give it up & the bad guys say nobody's live forever and sonny shots him
You had to well versed in almost everything to be a vice cop in Miami. I mean, what if someone walked up and ordered a shish kebab, gyro, hotdog or a hamburger? Could possibly fake the fresh lemonade though. But the saxophone? No way.
The young crook with the pink and black shirt and the studded belt probably got cast for this role because of his close resemblance to Stuart Adamson of the band Big Country (the were huge in the mid-1980's) as well as a young Patrick Swayze.
Hmm, good question, perhaps somebody from the filming crew could play a little sax or someone from this episode's cast? Martin Ferrero? 😁 Who knows lol Eddie Olmos was in a rock group Pacific Ocean in the late 1960s too.
And we all lived happily ever after as a one great big happy family 💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗 as great grandfather and great grandchildren ❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️.
In Tubbs defense, and I bet a whole heap of money that a number of people in real life have been shook or thrown off by something that wasn’t planned, because it happens all the time in the city, sure he could’ve went behind a tree.Honestly though how many people ever had a dog behind a fence scare you,a fast driver scare you at an intersection. A loud noise that might’ve sounded like a gun, and that would prove my point that when things happen out of the way…we don’t know how we’ll react, hopefully it will be the right response to whatever situation.
Love Miami Vice. I miss the 80's.
Tubbs blazer jacket looked really GQ for back in da day. Loved Miami Vice.
Yeah, I used to think his gear was wack, but it looks cooler now than Crockett's outfits. The lapels are a little wide, but it fits him perfectly, like a glove.
@@tranzco1173 Exactly, Tubbs dressed professionally, Crockett, not so much.

Tubbs style was on-point. I just hated them having him wear those white shoes all the time.
This show had it all. Great acting, great plots, great music, great style, and it effortlessly alternated between hilarity and almost unbearable tension.
😒
“Nobody lives forever!” You got that right
Sonny: “Very poor choice of words.” Pow! Pow!
Sonny: "Party's over kid."
Punk: "Nobody lives forever!"
BAM!
Sonny: "Not even you."
"PARTIES OVER KID!!"
I'm surprise Sonny didn't call him pal.😁
Isn't it obvious? He's a kid.

Switek had a great gambling addiction episode in season 5 where he basically killed everyone he owed money to. One of the best last season Vice'.
Man every time the guy in the bed kept pointing his gun at the other guy like it was his finger was killing me. Even drugged out criminals should show muzzle discipline! Lol

That Dude, Frank Military was great as the White Supremacist in the Don Johnson Movie Dead Bang
Exactly, thank you for this comment. He could have just circled the first tree, hide behind it and shoot the guy, the guy would have to stop and he would basically be immobilized in the car.
LET'S GET THE BOOKIES!!!
The 80s was a crazy time! Tires used to screech on sand in those days! Grass too!
Sonny was like let's end this without scratching the Ferrari
I plan to live forever. So far so good!
Amazing how those tires squeal on the grass.
Top episode, The song "Heartbeat" is just so good and blends in with speed boats montage...
The band's name is Red 7.
The best thing of this episode is Sonny' s Chris Craft with Red7 Heartbeat
"Looking for a heartbeat"
They were proud of me at work and they gave me a great big hug 🤗🤗🤗🤗.
Nobody lives forever
10mm: coming right up
I remember this when it was new. It really shocked me as a kid what the guy said before he got shot. Never seen anything like that on tv.
Totally, bro
Absolutely!👍👏

Remember, the writers had to make the episode 47 minutes long, plus, they had to give a reason to bring Crockett in to be the hero of the day.😉
You cannot imagine how people react to life-threatening situations, especially involving lethal violence.

Come on Tubbs, You Run Like a Little Girl..LOL
It's a really tight suit. Hard to run in. He needs a baggier suit like Crockett's.
The 3 Stooges of the 80's on acid from the 60's.
This was the #1 show on Friday Nights beating "Falcon Crest", and it should also air on MeTV.
You never want to jump behind a tree 🌳 when you have a car chasing you thru the trees
Nobody Lives Forever"
good advice
"I'd rather go trolling."
-Ricardo Tubbs
"No body lives forever" yup
U right no one lives forever and Crockett Bren ten made sure of that!
This my favorite episode…. Other than the Ferrari scene wherein y kicks the car.
These wild punks are my great grandchildren who I love them with all my heart 💕❤️💓❤️💓
Best show ever
Tubbs makes sure to stay far from those trees to give the chasing car a chance
2:35 Aww, how nice. The bad guy braked for him. :)
No thumbs down! Smart people!
Three Guys one Gun😂
Crockett and Tubbs were gorgeous guys. No one on tv like them nowadays it’s all shit now.
Most realistic show ever.

Famous last words as we would ironically say in the UK.
Only Rico could look that smooth wearing a suit and sneakers.

Earth to Tubbs: Get behind ONE tree, THEN draw your weapon.
Tubbs could have run in front of any of those trees and thats it for the caddy. Lol
And we went shopping 🛍️🛍️🛍️🛍️.

Tubbs was SO fine😍😍😍
I wish they were able to use squibs on the show! Tubbs took that guy out!

Yep, Not when you get 3 rounds of 10mm center mass.

¡INCREIBLE..CUANTOS NOTALGIA CON ESTA SERIE...!
Crocket saved tubbs life

"Nobody lives forever!"
Not when they've got 2 10 mm slugs in the chest.
And we clean the house 🏡🏡🏡🏡.
tires squealing while driving on the grass…lol
Was It filmed at the famous ocean drive?
CROCKETT "you wanna go fishing?"
TUBBS "I rather go strolling" 🌴🦩
They can forget about that : 3 killings, tons of paperwork are waiting for them.
Well at least in getting shot down he proved his point!
You had to well versed in almost everything to be a vice cop in Miami. I mean, what if someone walked up and ordered a shish kebab, gyro, hotdog or a hamburger? Could possibly fake the fresh lemonade though. But the saxophone? No way.
