    Which sample was the least fragile/least affected by the water? BTW I love your channel!!! thank you for the content!!!!

      I didn't test it rigorously, and there's not much difference overall, but if I had to say one, by feel, it would be the potato.

    Hi! We're conducting an experiment about bioplastics too. Quick question, were you able to mold these bioplastics into actual cups?

    Could it dissolve w water? Would it be drinkable?

    • @giestas
      @giestas  2 года назад +1

      I have to test higher temperatures to see if it dissolves in water. Drinkable? Probably not.

    is it possible for you to test those three starch-based bioplastics for biodegradability? thank you

      I have some samples buried in soil, but it'll still be a while before I can take them out and see the results.

      Have you checked the result? It would be nice if you could make another video about biodegradability ☺.@@giestas

    question, how can I make it hard? We're trying to make bioplastic kitchen utensils and I don't know what to add to make the plastic hard

    • @giestas
      @giestas  Год назад

      You can subtract glycerin to make it hard, but it becomes more difficult to shape

      You can see the effects of subtracting glycerin in this video: ruclips.net/video/1hDXsOrf0AY/видео.html

      No, but sounds like a good suggestion. How can I test that?

      @@giestas ikr, I've found some procedures online. I'm looking for it a while ago since we're going to need it in our research study:)
