From the experiments I made so far, I think the eggshells are more useful in rigid blocks of bioplastic, rather than these thin flexible films. I want to make a video on that but that's going to take a long time...
and the goal for our research is to craft a bioplastic made from cornstarch, glycerol and a citrus lemon peel extract. Hoping to be notice and once again thanks!
@@giestas I have finally found 2 recipes on youtube for make hard tps. Also I have some exp I did 6 different tps and I search tps for understand how mix turns into bioplastic. Thanks.
Is there a way to make the starch plastic more rigid? I'm experimenting with different material combinations and I want to outcome to be more structurally sound
Thank you very much for your videos, it s super helpful. I m trying to reach a certain effect for my art, so I will try your recipes soon
Drying of film under tension will preserve its uniformity
The first good bioplastic video
Can you test out bioplastic reinforced with powdered eggshells?

what if dry in vacuum at room temp?
Can I use the measurements of this video if I use cornstarch instead of potato starch? Thanks for this video!

Yes you can!
I have a question. I want to make a plastic like pringles cap. How much of what material should I use?
That would be a more rigid plastic compared to the kind you see in this video; I haven't figured out how to make that kind of bioplastic yet.

Can u tell me the difference between using dehydrator and using oven for drying sheets??
The dehydrator is the ideal solution, but not many people have access to one...
@@giestas can u tell me the temperature setting and time which is favorable for setting gelatin as well as agar sheets??
Sir, what kind of starch did you use in this video? Did you use a cassava starch?
Check the video description for details.
Is the film it self edible and safe ?

You can add a filler like coffee grounds or eggshells, for example.
which is best method here for rigid bioplastic with egg shell?
Not sure yet, I still have to make tests on that.
how would this work with agar agar bioplastics?
Haven't tried that yet, but I'm guessing the high temperatures of the oven would also introduce bubbles in the agar.
I'm wondering what it will do if you heat it after it dried out, and what it will do whit the water resistance test.
I'm also curious to know how it'll respond to heat, that'll be for a future video!
