I'd advise NOT doing all the tips mentioned all at once. Do 1 or 2, wait a day to see how your system responds, so you know which changes worked best for you. Maybe a you could do a video on some on the services that are running (via Windows Administrative Tools > Services; or Windows Administrative Tools > Computer Management > Services and Applications). I bet there are some services that a person could review and either disable or set to Manual. I'm pretty sure Retail Demo Service isn't needed for just about everyone. Another example might be disabling Remote Registry as well, for security reasons, if nothing else. I'm not sure how much some of the changes will make on performance issues generally speaking, but if some applications are running that aren't needed and unwanted, it might be worth a look.

Thank you so much for this. My laptop has 8gb of ram and has lagged for years. I didn't want to reset the OS as I have a few programs I no longer know the product key for. As I went through your list my computer sped up dramatically at each step at the solid blinking memory light started to finally fade away for the first time. After a reboot it is blazing again. The steps were clear, quick, informative, and well shown. 5 star video here!

Holy cow! I didn't do nearly everything suggested, I didn't even get al the way through the video and I am sure I will still need a new laptop BUT the things I did do have aleady helped sooooo much....Thanks a million! (Oh yes, easy to do and follow instructions too!)
