There's such a sweetness and freshness and delicacy in her dancing, like eating the lightest sweet pastry on a bright afternoon (and some herbal tea)! I never get tired of watching her grace the stage! Wowww, her dancing Diamonds with Xander is like watching the most wonderful dream. I wish Xander had not left Russia. :(
Her debut as Aurora was very successfull. In my opinion, Mey is one of the most gifted ballerinas of her generation. I am glad that she came back to Mariinsky theater
Yes, I agree that she is one of the most gifted ballerinas of her generation and am also very glad she went back to Mariinsky. Thank you for commenting.
She is an outstanding dancer indeed - - May Nagahisa - - and one more thing - - she's quite humble and loyal to Mariinsky definitely! I admire her for that ❤️ 😍 💖 ❣️ 💕 💘 too! Thanks much to @ TheBunduBallerina for showing this latest - - from Nagahisa. And a 'Happy Christmas 2022' to @ TheBunduBallerina. Happy Christmas 2022 to everyone.
May is so elegant, even at age 12 she seemed to be a polished performer. Thanks for a superb compilation, Bundu Ballerina. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. Thanks for your good work to keep us entertained and knowledgeable.
Tecnicamente disegnata, come molte ballerine del Marinski, e sensata espressivamente. Le trovo pero' a volte troppo anonime, ma forse questo è un problema generale del balletto contemporaneo, la negazione della personalità.
Yes, indeed. I would also love to see her as Juliet. There is a seven minute long video of her and Caixeta in Romeo and Juliet excerpts on the Mariinsky RUclips channel. She looks exquisite in it!
I think that's explainable. Most likely May hasn't made any anti Russia statements and she's a foreigner. With Olga Smirnova for example it's totally otherwise. Smirnova made statements, condemning Russia, and she was a Prima at Bolshoi, so after leaving Russia she is seen as a kind of traitor. IMO, Smirnova is never going to dance in Russia again, not in major theatres, at least.
All these variations are exquisite. Japan must be justly proud of her. Thank you for compiling this delicious collection.
Yes, indeed - Japan must be justly proud of Nagahisa. Thanks for your lovely comments.
I'm just back from her 'Nutcracker' with Philipp Stepin. She is absolutely charming!
Living in S Petersburg, so can see her live regularly - its magical, fabulous! absolutely fantastic accuracy, delicacy and charisma!
Thank you for commenting. You are very fortunate to see her live regularly!
I like her dancing from the very beginning of M. Nagahisa's ballet career at Mariinsky theater. The same I can say about Kimin Kim.
That was breathtaking. Thank you for sharing! I did not know about this exceptional ballerina. Her upper body is so incredibly expressive and free.
Thank you for your wonderful comment. I agree - she is an exceptional ballerina.

It's a pleasure ❤️
I saw her Aurora debut in the theatre. Her best debut since Giselle.
Ah! How fortunate you are.
She’s a phenomenal dancer, so very gifted. I watched her from early days.
Smart move to keep politics separate from art… May fits very well with Mariinsky ❤️
My favourite 💕💕

mesmo com 23 anos sera que consigo fazer ballet?
Surprised they let her back in. That shows the Russians generous spirit. America and Europe would have booted her out for good.
She left for a visa situation and was waiting for that to be ready.

@@MrWhite-vp4xz Sad that.
@@louiselins
I think this is correct.
People close to her and the director of the Mariinsky stated as much.
@@DavidLeBlanc , for Smirnova's fans maybe, but i'm not one of them, to be honest...
