Just because comments were turned off, did anyone see the June 2 performance of May Nagahisa's Sleeping Beauty? I had only gotten as far as the Rose but she's gorgeous and her musicality, just the way she shapes her phrases, is just to die for. Over to you, Bundu.
Thank you for all the work you always put into your sensitive editing. This is a most informative and flowing edit once again. So many Japanese principal ballerinas are dotted across the globe! I greatly appreciate having been introduced to some marvellous ballerinas I had not been aware of before.
A very beautiful video. All these ballerinas are wonderful. My favourite one is the prima ballerina from the Mariinsky Theatre. I've seen her before as a soloist. These ballerinas have something in common: The perfect physical qualities for ballet. Many years ago, when I took ballet lessons not even one of my class-mates or myself could have a figure like this. A real blessing! Many thanks for sharing this video!
Of course we all know May! It was wonderful to see all of her fellow countrywomen excelling onstage! Akade basically made me enjoy the role of Princess Florine again (one of my first solo roles in Moscow!) especially the use of her back in the piqué turns, lingering and beautifully indulgent reminds me of my own Russian training. 🇵🇹🇧🇷🇷🇴🇷🇺🇺🇦🩰❤️❤️❤️🇯🇵 8:47
@@TheBunduBallerina I suggested a while back but I’ll do it again: please do a video of the best pas de trois (even if it’s just the codas!). It could be all ballerinas like Precious Stones in Sleeping Beauty, Shades in La Bayédéré, Odalisques in Le Corsaire, nymphs in Walpurgis Night… or Ballerinas + danseurs as in Swan Lake, Paquita or the rare case of one ballerina + two danseurs in Fairy Doll. Confession time 🙋🏻♀️: after watching this video I immediately HAD to watch what I now know are two of my favorite videos: the epic codas ones. I can’t even count how many times I’ve watched both of them. So in this spirit, I would absolutely LOVE another coda video. Please 🙏🏻? 🇵🇹🇧🇷🇷🇴🇺🇦🇷🇺🩰🩷🩷🩷
@@isabelaandzicoWhat wonderful suggestions! Thank you so much for reminding me and for the great ideas of which pas de trois I can use. I will definitely make use of your fabulous requests, also for another codas video. You are welcome to suggest anything else 😊
@@TheBunduBallerina aww 🥰 you always make my day! I’ve actually performed all of the pas de trois I mentioned - they’re all very popular in my part of the world: Moscow where I was trained, all the former Soviet Republics and Eastern Bloc countries where I live and work. My absolute favorite of the codas in the pas de trois I’d mentioned is without a doubt the Paquita one. 🇵🇹🇧🇷🇷🇺🇺🇦🇷🇴🩰
They're all outstanding Classical Ballet dancers, of course ❤! And does it ever happen to you . . like, you'd watch many dancers as these 'Great Japanese Ballerinas' i.e. Momoko Hirata; Royal Ballet's Principal Miyako Yoshida; the highly acclaimed Mariinsky First Soloist May Nagahisa; . . to name a few! But . . . someone will remain in your memory . . someone you will forever remember!! And one of these dancers is . . Akane Takada, and her amazing 'whipping motion' fouettés ❤. Ako Kondo from the AustralianBallet, and she's highly talented, and you'll surely remember her, too, in that bright red costume ❤! Misa Kuranaga, I've seen her in a Gala, in 2023 in Sydney, I am certain. All of the Japanese Ballerinas in this compilation video are 'Great' indeed ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤! Thank you @ B B as always ❤😊.
What happened to Akane? It's a shame that now the RB is presenting "The Dream" and I think she won't be there. I knew her for her performance as Titania.
@@dancingbluecrane2813 Yes, I know that. I mean, I think she hasn't been on stage since Cinderella. I would like to know if she had any type of serious injury or something similar.

I absolutely agree!! May’s musicality and phrasing is indeed to die for.

Thank you for this compilation of these beautiful, talented and hard working dancers. It was a pleasure to watch. 💗💞🌸❤💞💗

I know only Akane Takada and May Nagahisa. All great dancers Brilliant.
I love all these great Japanese ballerinas... 😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘❤💘💘💘❤❤❤❤❤❤I love all these great lady artists...
Obrigado por tanta beleza, força e suavidade, dessas bailarinas japonesas. Incríveis!!!
Obrigado!

I know May is not a principal yet but she’s the best!
Mizuka Ueno is Sylvie Guillem's "daughter". Same body type, same agility, flexibility, same lines.

As far as I can see, she is still a principal of the Royal Ballet

Yuriko Kajiya!!
It’s Kuranaga not Kuranga.
Thank you.
