You can read his autobiography and in it, he always says that he's in awe of Vic and has been the whole of the time he's known him. He also talks about the creative and writing process they've always used. No script. Interesting read.

Tubby was such an influential player. I modeled my game on him and could kick, head and smooaake with the best. I was shit at football though.
