I found hissing sounds I never knew existed, thanks to your video I followed what you said and recorded toggling each source on and off. Thanks a bunch man! Keep'm coming! Yet another awesome resourceful video!
READ THIS!!! A WIFI SINGAL BOOSTER OR ROUTER CAN CAUSE A CRACKLING/ POPPING SOUND WHILE RECORDING ON OBS STUDIO!!! for months i was trying to figure out why there was a crackling/popping sound coming from my microphone when i recorded on obs studio. it was especially weird to me since it did not happen when i recorded with the same microphone with other programs... it turned out to be my WIFI SIGNAL BOOSTER! it was causing a distortion. as soon as i unplugged it the crackling/popping noises stopped. this stopped me for months from starting my youtube channel. so if your having this same problem i suggest giving it a try. try unplugging or moving your wifi signal booster and or moving your router away from your computer.
My router is in the garage with a CAT 8 cable ethernet into my computer. BUT, also had the same ticking noise of internet recording into Abelton for a podcast. Really driving me nuts since everything is off that receives internet. Should I unplug TV's? They still receive signals when turned off. Now using OBS for Twitch with same tick tick tick internet noise now and then. Any help would be great. 👍🏽
Im heaving that hut only then I toggle on the thing rhat makes u hear ur voice, if i make a video or anything nothing happens, so there is no problem right ?
This helped me out! on OBS the capture card was causing the buzzing which seemed obvious, but for some reason toggling it invisible and bringing it back fixed this issue. Or maybe something I did before that to reset it, but yeah, it's working now. This is a cool tip that I'll make sure to use for future issues, thanks!
Anyone watching this in 2024 I finally found a fix for my issue. I had a loud tone that would play when I maxed the volume (specifically on my sound mixer). When I closed OBS it would stop. The fix was going into OBS settings, going into Audio, the advanced section. In monitoring device make sure it's set to the right speaker or in my instance my headset. For some reason it got switched to my browser channel.
Is it normal to hear a small “tic” when im hearing myself speaking? But nothing when im recording myself? Basically if im recording myself and there is no sound is all good right?
Thanks for the help, but it didn't sorta work out, but it still helped a bit on the noise. I found out the issue. I just slapped my headset and the noise just stopped and everything was fine! Overall, very helpful video, for other people.
So my issue is that when I go to live stream, the desktop audio goes absolutely bat shit crazy and starts sounding like a jet engine. How do I stop this?
I tried using the same settings as shown in your discord. and now the buzzing is constant instead of only there when I speak. It's my mic btw. How do I fix this?
I found it! Such a simple idea and it never occurred to me to test like this! My Sony 6400's audio recording was on. I turned it off and all is well in my world again. Thank you!
This video did not work for me. i check all video and still not fix. I just Plug the Headset out and plug in and it fix. So the problem might be the headset. The OBS did not recognize my headset properly so it just do Static noise.
But the buzzing that I hear is coming from the ps5 how do I get rid of it ? Because I don’t use the chat link cable for the obvious reasons I have other cables involved and I also have put filters on the audio from the ps5 but I still hear it any advice?
Look into your capture card settings specifically for your ps5 and mess with either hdmi audio or analog audio! Analog audio is what needs to be picked for consoles! Hope this helps 👍
I know my problem isn’t from my microphone because I don’t have it plugged up but randomly for about 10 minutes somewhere in my stream there is a loud obnoxious static of all the noise in my gaming gameplay mixing together and it’s happened in every single one of my streams for about 10 minutes
I was having a doubt about where the issue is coming from but wasn't sure and you just helped me. Anyways, this issue is coming only while I am recording a PC game. The issue only exists with PES 2022. do you know how to fix this?
@@Ak-hudegin my solution was to use a different mic I already had, but I saw somewhere that the static is caused by EMI from plugging in straight to the computer, so if you get a mixamp or mic interface to plug ur mic into that could fix it

I would check the audio settings in obs when you double click the webcam source and change it to direct wave and it might be fixed like that! I’m going to make a video on how to set up a cam link for live-streaming soon! 👏.
