      When she decides to make her move she will claim he threatened her and get a restraining order barring him from the residence. During the 6 weeks or so it will take for him to get a hearing to argue against the restraining order she will have sold off his hooptie fleet and anything else she can and he will have no recourse for it because legally she can do so. His so called friends will buy his fire sale hoopties and one or two will be banging his wife. As smart as he is at accumulating wealth his stupidest decision ever was to get married.

People on the forums have cash in hand and are ready to buy plane tickets to go view some rigs. Great vehicles - for the past 15 years, I've only bought pre-owned vehicles and that's when I quickly learned to stick with Lexus/Toyota. They hold their value very well, are highly capable and extremely reliable. Currently I've got an LX 570 as my daily driver - plenty of room for the kids and their friends or their sports gear - very comfortable, good tech features and in a few years when I've got an empty nest, I'll probably get a used RCF as a daily driver and keep the LX for weekend fun and do all the stupid things like rock sliders, bull bumper, winch, etc.

    3 things to clear up:
    1. a Land Cruiser is a 4wd (or 4x4) not an SUV
    2. a snorkel doesn't just raise the air intake level so you get cleaner air, a properly fitted snorkel also prevents water ingress into your engine when driving through deeper water, does not stop water from getting into the cabin.
    3. That big thing on the front is actually not called a bumper bar, that is infact called a bull bar.
    300,000 mile on a petrol is really good but is just being run in on a diesel engine

      that's us, sometimes unlucky can't find a parking at CBD as parking space are so small just enough to fit a tiny car, and we have to remove the giant roof rack just to fit the limited height at mall parking.

    It's so hard to believe that this particular generation LX came out in 1998.... Certainly doesn't look like it!

      A new Land Cruiser is $76K while an Escalade is $64K on cars.com. While a 2009 with less than150,000 miles the LC is $26K and a Escalade is $17K. A new LX570 3-row is $92K while a 2009 is $27K.
      So the LC drops $50K and the Escalade only drops $48K. Toyota LC is not luxurious and should not have that depreciation compared to another luxury marque.the LX is more like a luxury vehicle in it’s high depreciation of $65 in the last decade.

    • @CACressida
      @CACressida 5 лет назад +1

      @@normt5463 actually the LC starts at $85,000. Gauging car value by a seller on cars.com isn't how you judge a value of a vehicle. People find awesome deals for high priced cars all the time, doesn't mean that's what its worth. A Cadillac Escalade is a plastic abortion and doesn't compare to other luxury vehicles very well. Doug Demuro did a video a few months ago demonstrating how crappy the build quality is with it creaking and rattling. Nobody cross shops a Land Cruiser and an Escalade. One is a high quality offroad tank, the other is an expensive chevy tahoe in a tuxedo.

      @@normt5463 Toyota Land cruiser vx limited diesel is more expensive than the basic one. Ours, if we buy this brand new 2018/2019 model it will cost us NZ$126,000 plus on road charge.

      @@normt5463 your kidding right? Escalades value drops faster than my grades. The reason why the LX and Landcruiser hold their value better is because of the notorious reliability they are known for.

    Late to the vid on this one but, Landcruisers (and Patrols) are one of the few vehicles I have seen in Australia really handle the extreme conditions well, no I am not talking about driving around town, I am talking about some of the harsher off road tracks. They do break, and each model has different weaknesses (1HZ, expect to rebuilding your power steering pump alot, early V8 diesels....enjoy replacing that starter motor....newer V8 diesels.....yeah emissions controls), point is they aren't indestructible but they are a damn reliable and good car. Just don't blow that motor at least here in Aus, they cost a fortune.
