    Hello BEAUTIFUL PEOPLE!
In this video I let you in a bit more personal and show you my START to FINISH weekly haircare regimen for type 4 hair. This is a part of my #HairGoals Series where I teach you to how to grow natural hair long and fast - well, as fast as you genetically can!
In this episode I start off with a very old and disgusting 3 month old braided protective style which I wash, shampoo and deep condition all in preparation for some mini twists. Protective styling has so many benefits that aide in length retention, this is a method I used frequently when starting my natural hair journey. I also discuss post partum shedding and how I am going to combat this, which I know is a concern that many moms and moms to be have.

I left my daughters' in for months but in their real hair and there is buildup but it comes out and their hair is great. But I have five kids and three girls so I get busy. If I do fake braids which I have only done that once, I braid their hair underneath and my two year olds hair grew a lot.

I did braids for 5 months, and it was fine!
I oiled it a lot, and I used conditioner to-get it out, My hair was shorter than yours, I also had the back braids redone a few times; this was when I was transitioning!
When I was pregnant with my twins I had braids for or 3 months, I went natural in 2005 after dealing with hurricane Kartrinia and my twins were 6 months! I wish I would have stuck with it!
I have been natural now for about 3 years now , no turning back!
    Praise God!!

I know I’m late, but I just came across your channel for the first time. I just want to say, “WOW”. Great content, beautiful (you and your hair) and minimal. Thanks for being amusing without being extra, I love your natural confidence. I like quality and sometimes when I begin a video I see the same thing over and over, “heads snapping and hands moving all over, singing, everyone doing the same ole intro’s. I don’t even go through them if that’s how they start and it’s a shame because I know there is some good content in them but can’t take five minutes of “extra”, so thank you again. I will be coming back. “I’m only one person’s opinion but jeez everyone is already doing the same content, do they have to do the same everything else”, lol. Congrats on the little one.

I am a braider and back in the day I used to leave my individual braids in for at least 6 months. I needed to see at least 3 to 4 inches of new growth. A few days before takedown I would drench my new growth with care free curl spray nightly.

Congratulations on your baby addition ❤️. 0:06 that's!!!!!! Where I messed up ..I didn't detangle every knit😪😢 literally lost 3years of effort to grow it longer than it already was! Went into the shower hair beyond the middle back ,got out the shower n it was shoulder length.i could pass out everytime I think about the dumb thing I did.but all I can do now is b more patient and thankful for the knowledge of hair management iv gained since. Like I knew them to detangle those knots before I showered, but I have no idea y I didn't! Anywho I dreaded a couple months later for 5years,then took them down few months ago.its so thin yukk!! But I'm so happy to see my hair again.right now like always just singles and twist for my healthy natural hair growth journey.
I won't b switching it up alot, because I'm really focused on my progress and I know what it takes, which is leaving it be ! and I'm just excited and very patient now lol. Loved ur vid 😊gf hacked)✨ oh

For me, the hardest part about being natural has always been shrinkage. I've been natural my entire life and was wearing my hair big, natural and curly at the clubs 15 years ago when it was still kinda rare to see. What always made me dye it or neglect it was the massive disappointment I felt about shrinkage. I can finally admit that was my trigger every time. It was just so discouraging. I realize now, that we just have to say oh well.. that's just how things are right now. ❤️
