I once went to a lovely bathhouse in Dalian, It's actually a rain forest with real tropical fruits growing there next to the pool you are soaking (not allowed to pick though). There are several water slides where you can have fun. There are both indoor and outdoor pools , and pools with different themes. And the best thing is it is open 24 hours! There is a Thai seafood buffet in Sydney costs like $99 for regular, and $120 for premium I remember. Beffet in star casino is a joke, but I heard the new crown casino has some decent buffet.
But only for food, bath and massage are not included. I really hope we can have this in Sydney, a nice place to hang out with mates. Go to clubs and bars are kind boring now, and I can't watch movies all the time, also boring...

I was just in Shenyang yesterday specifically for the bathhouses hahaha, although I went to two different ones, Pop Forest, and Qinghe Peninsula. Pop forest is pretty similar but space themed. Qinghe Peninsula is more resorty and has a whole villa section where you can rent up to full cabins with private hotsprings. The main building has a bathing section like usual, but also multiple floors of communal (swimsuit required) hotspring sections for mixed genders as well as a small waterpark and outdoor pools (the ones that are still open run with warm water thankfully) Seems a shame you didn't go to Qinghe Peninsula, as that's pretty much the benchmark bathhouse in Shenyang. If you are still in Shenyang by the time this video was uploaded, highly highly recommend. But don't book the tatami indoor hotspring room if youre staying the night, that room in particular doesnt have adequate ventilation and after using the hotspring the temperature stayed 29-30 for the day with ac on full blast. If youre going and wants to stay a night, get one of the villa area accommodations. There are small 1 br houses if you go alone or with dirk, but there are also full cabins if you have more friends!
WOW. this looks like heaven on earth and the pricing is incredibly reasonable. I've only been interested in visiting the southern parts of China but your dongbei videos are really starting to change my mind😂

One needs to say that this was more on the pricey side compared to other bath houses in the region, but given the standard, understandably so. 😉 As for things to do during winter: the Harbin Ice and Snow festival would be a regular choice, of course. However, I would be very curious what Wudalianchi (五大连池市), Heilongjiang province, might be like at that time. During the summertime it is truly beautiful with all the green, the volcanoes, and the lakes around. With snow and ice it might be pretty amazing. Not sure about accommodations, though.

My university is in Shenyang for 4 years study, while now I am in Melbourne, it is amazing to see this video and I miss shenyang bathhouse very much. By the way, living in bathhouse is high performance price ratio and you can live here whole night at around minimal 50-100 yuan while 10-20 dollar. If you are open and like to try new things. I used to go to a bathhouse in China when I was younger, there were actually more perks in those ones, like 2hour free karaoke rooms, 8hour free mahjong tables, etc., even better, you can stay in for 24hours with 4 buffet meals, if you with a 6 or more ppl group, you can have your own buffet room served with mini-hotpots for each person, also can collect food from outside your room, and you see all age-group people are there all times, gosh, I miss that place, all of these, only pay ¥30 entrance fee, I had been wondering how they make money from this.
Those places probably won't have high end seafood in the options. If it is ordering style, not self grab, they can make every dish 60% carbs 20% veg 20% meat, so you are full already with 80% of cheap fillers. So I've been to some of these bath/massage houses in southern china around guangxi area and same as in your video they have all these facilities including food and some places even free food or everything included in a single price. But at 1 place I found out after speaking to a masseuse that bathhouses also serve as accommodation for workers at night during off peak hours but I dunno whether it's the same in the north where you've been to but I suppose it should be(because that's still revenue), it is said there are 25 million migrant workers in China who travel from place to place seeking short term employment so of course they won't be able to have any permanent address in the places they are working in at the moment but they still need a place to sleep wash etc so everyday at around 8:30pm the reception phones at bathhouses (in guangxi) will start ringing where there will be lots of enquiries for any "massage beds" available for rent from 10pm onwards (bathhouse off peak hours) then from 9pm they will start arriving they will wash clean up and I think also clean out any remaining food from the buffet then they will sleep in the "beds" (1 room could have a few massage beds) they booked till morning where they will check out and go to work and then at night will start calling and repeat all over again. So I do have friends who have travelled extensively in Taiwan for weeks they "go lite on the luggage" and travel from place to place by day and sleep in bathhouses at night - everyday, all these without ever checking into a single hotel while they were in Taiwan, my friends say they are rather "thick skinned and brazen" but they saved a big chunk of their travelling expenses doing it 😁. Technically you should be able to apply that in China but I dunno whether it's possible unless bathhouses also have a link to the local gong an authorities, maybe part 2 of your next video on bath houses you can help us to explore some more.
In all commercial spas in China, you can stay overnight. As long as it is not illegal (pornography or drug-related), the public security department will not interfere in any way. This is the business freedom of business.

That’s shockingly cheap! I was expecting something like £400-£600
Amy , you were living like a queen there in Shen yang😂

I dream to go to a bathhouse like this one day!
In Dubai, you pay over 1000AED for one massage like in this kind of SPA center. No food but snacks. Looks so shabby
