Great seeing Derk on here again! Seems like he has already gotten used to the life there in Changchun! The lake view was amazing but yeah, the lining up must have been frustrating. Can't wait to see more of your food adventure! Oh, I also love how Derk just casually pans to the logo of the car when Amy complements how smoothly the car goes. Changchun is my home city where I was born and raised until I was 12 before I came to Canada. I lived very close to Jingyuetan Park for six years (abt 10 min drive) and me and my parents used to go there on the weekends just to take a walk. I remember back in the days (early 2010s) there were unguarded entrances where you could just drive through for free and smh exist at the legit entrance. 😂 Not that I could recall neither the cableway nor the toboggan were there at the time but it's always great to see all those improvement. Never the less the metro lines had grown massive over the past few years (nothing compared to the big cities) but still glad to see the upgrade of the infrastructures. Haven't been back to China since COVID and this video is rlly nostalgic for me. Thank you very much for making this amazing video and I am really glad that you are enjoying your time at Changchun. 💞

Sisig (best if it's served sizzling!), Kare-Kare (stew with peanut sauce), adobo, pancit palabok or pancit malabon (they're both noodle dishes with an orange-colored shrimpy sauce), bulalo (beef bone & marrow soup), stuffed squid, pinakbet (vegetable dish with shrimp paste), bicol express (pork with coconut milk), kinilaw (raw seafood that is "cooked" in vinegar). For desert, of course we have halo-halo (shaved ice with lots of toppings), various "kakanin" (rice cakes) such as puto, kutsinta and biko, lengua de gato (filipino butter cookies), and buko pandan.

If you eat potato chips, doritos, any packaged ramen, any soup bouillon, canned soup, prepackaged deli meat, frozen dinners, salad dressing, condiments, hotdogs, sausage, and probably most things you have eaten - they will have MSG in it.
MSG also has other names - yeast extract, vegetable extract, Sodium caseinate, natural flavors, modified enzyme, fortified protein, hydrolyzed soy and and corn protein, soy sauce extract, malt extract, citrate, seasonings, and so many others.

If you don't like eating MSG, then my suggestion is that you can simply try to ask the chefs at the restaurants not to add MSG in the food ( maybe you can tell the waiter or waitress about your preference to see if they can accommodate to your situation). But for other pre-made food or snax, it is hard to avoid MSG for creating an MSG-free environment in food industry since lots of modern industrial food additives contains certain amounts of monosodium glutamate (MSG), like Dashida (다시다) the Korean instant beef stock which is high in salt and MSG, some chips like Doritos and Pringles also contain MSG to boost their flavor. However, personally I still use Dashida in my cooking just because a small stp can make my food taste so much betta😂, my husband who is Korean loves the food when I add a bit of Dashida too😂. Anyways, just try to ask the chef if they can skip adding the MSG if you don't like it, hope you have a nice experience in exploring the Chinese food in your city🎉❤

We have a tobbogan like this in my hometown in Austria, where they say it's the longest in the world. So I always wonder if that's really true. Do you know how long this one was? Ours is like 3.5km.

Why not go to Xinjiang to taste Xinjiang cuisine? Always waiting for your trip to Xinjiang. It would be better if you both go to Xinjiang together, it will be a nice trip.

There are indeed many pedestrians jaywalking and crossing the road in China, but no matter where you are, it is impolite to honk behind pedestrians.
