I caught that too. I was puzzled when he acted like it was all normal. I thought maybe it was an optical illusion like the old movies when the stagecoach wheels look like they are turning backwards. LOL
Hey Anthony, Looks like another viewer has addressed the elephant in the room ! I can only assume you will correct the steering wheel turning left when the wheels turn right. After seeing you sit in the Jeep, I now know that I am going to stretch my 1946 CJ2A to gain comfort while driving. Thanx fur the videos you do, they are very helpful to some of us. Work Safe, Be Well Stay Warm
You might want to consider putting in another universal joint between the box and the steering wheel. More than one person has been seriously injured or killed when their steering wheel was driven into them during a crash.
jeep's turning out GREAT! I gotta say though, with all of that great looking interior work, it needs a new steering wheel. Nitpicky type stuff at this point, but I think it would make ALL of the difference there.
I enjoyed the video, however I notice the backwards steering. I'm interested in how you are going to reverse the steering. I also agree with another comment with possibly a collapsible column. That solid rod could be uncomfortable in an accident. I really like the build. Thanks
How did you not know the steering was backwards. Wouldn’t call that a win. A great effort though. Just need to think it out a little better. Can’t wait to see how you fix it. 👍
I really love your work but I jest noticed your welder in the background, I believe that's the one I helped sell out of Humble Tx. a few years back, It's a small world Brother.
Thanks for sharing your knowledge! Man, I wish I had seen this video before I set up the truck I’m building. Would have been WAY easier than what I did! But I now have this knowledge for my next build. Thanks again and please keep sharing!!!!! Oh, and I think your new shop is gonna be totally awesome!!! What a cool @$$ building!!!
After you fix the obvious issue ... looks like you're going to eventually want to watch my video "Hot/Rat Rod Tires Scrub Turning Curves? Ackermann Steering Thing And Fix". You're welcome. 😎
Well, there you go Anthony! You found a great way to build comments! You gotta keep doing stuff like that. Maybe next time accidentally set the wiring on fire and then act as tho nothing to see here "... I'm ready for some lunch!" JK 😂
looks like you turn steering wheel left and the wheels turn right, need pitman arm to go up, or different gear box
That didn't take long for you to find. Yes I'm a Dumbass! I just have to flip the pitmam arm! 🙃😜😝😂
I caught that too. I was puzzled when he acted like it was all normal. I thought maybe it was an optical illusion like the old movies when the stagecoach wheels look like they are turning backwards. LOL
It's a drift Jeep, you turn right to go left!
@@ThatRustLife --- Doc Hudson would be pleased 😆😆😆😆😆😆
Great anti-theft device!
Did anybody else notice the steering wheel turned opposite of the wheels
yeah but that's a easy fix
@@raysaxton9981 hows that mate, hope you all had a great Festive season, all the best to you all and your loved ones
Love the jeep it's theft proff with the steering backwards
Lol
Well looks like it’s coming along.
😂🤣😂🤣😂
It will be awesome after you flip the pitman 180. But you already knew that😇 Nice work Anthony!
Man I love the “drunk guys only” steering box.
😆😆😆
As an old Army guy. That is Cool
Going to have fun trying to drive when you turn right and go left! 😂

Glad I could help. It really is so much better with the stretch!

Good point ... no pun intended. 😎
Looking forward to the next episode 👍
clock the arm on the steering box to point up to correct the steering
It's looking great Anthony! Gonna be fun to watch you blow it apart and start adding color. We'll be watching.
jeep's turning out GREAT! I gotta say though, with all of that great looking interior work, it needs a new steering wheel. Nitpicky type stuff at this point, but I think it would make ALL of the difference there.
We'll see what happens
Very nice job Anthony looking good
Thank you!
It's coming along nicely 👍👍
Excellent work Sir 😮
Many thanks

No seat belts, no doors, no top, no airbags, it's only one step safer that a motorcycle.
@@HardCoreFab the sketch stuff is the fun stuff during a build. I always like the first test drive.
Looking good nice work 👍
Thanks 👍

I want a Jeep rod… especially after watching this series. I know where a Jeep YJ tub is.
That would work other than you have to have seatbelts in a YJ
Looks like it's guna be a sweet ride, wishing yous a great and prosperous New Year
Thanks same to you!
steering is backwards turning right to go left and left to go right
looks good man!!
Appreciate it!
Yup
Coming along nicely Anthony. When you turned the steering wheel to the right, the wheels turned to the left or is that the way the camera showed it?
I really love your work but I jest noticed your welder in the background, I believe that's the one I helped sell out of Humble Tx. a few years back, It's a small world Brother.
Thanks Ray! This old welder I bought about 15 years ago at an auction.
Is it my eyes or is the steering backwards?🙃
🙃 looks fine from here LOL
Looks to me it’s right hand down wheels are turning left so you are correct.
Backwards steering? right = left and vice versa

No problem and yeah I can't wait to get in the new building. I have some fun projects planned when we get all moved!
@@HardCoreFab I can only imagine!! You could do SOOOOO much with that place!!!

I'm with you but that kit does not allow the steering to be behind the axle
@@HardCoreFab Good, the video is for front of the axle steering.
I noticed it right away
Hope you never have to change the rod end.
Why?
@@HardCoreFab You will not be able to change it it with out cutting the shaft apart. The part should last a lifetime but you never know.
How much does it cost to make jeep rod
Every build is different. If you would happy to talk more about it if you want. My contact info is on our HardCore Fab website
It's turning backwards
Now if you've just set up the transmission to give one forward and four reverse...
Hey that's a great idea lol
Hello what steering box are uaing fhnaks

Cool thank you
I was just gonna say the same thing the person below this said you're stirring left but the tires are going right what's up
Where you located?
Hutchinson KS
No column colapse sleeve in the event of an accident in the front?!?!
Also no top no doors no seat belts no airbag.
Okay I'm going to say it too. The steering is backwards.
