I love the circle stitching detail. See this is why I am obsessed with you- you do your own thing, you’re in your own lane. I really like the look of this harness but I am disappointed in the pattern. Watch the video first because the pattern has places to punch holes that he doesn't in the video. Specifically A1 and A2 have the holes for the part that secures the D-Ring but in the video he doesn't have that punched and puts it together differently. It will work the way the pattern is but it's more difficult to sew.

The pattern is only suitable for medium and large dogs. This is made very clear in the video

How much weight would you estimate these harnesses could hold? I'm thinking of making one for a friend who has a hound, but her dog can pull relatively hard when he catches a scent.

Make it out of bridle leather. Harness isn’t going to keep the dog from pulling. Just prevent them from choking themselves on a collar when they do.
