I’d try out those sand paper flap wheels for sharpening blades. They are surprisingly effective. I don’t even touch those grind wheels for anything anymore, and I do a lot of metal work.
The reason blades come with a .010 radius is a liability issue to the blade manufacturer when you purchase them.We sharpen about 30 sets of blades a week with our sharpening business. We send em all out razor sharp. Only blades that have issues are the junk aftermarket blades that are soft. Good 38-40 dollar oem blades are the hardest steel out there. They put off an orange spark not yellow there so hard. The junk aftermarket put off a more yellow spark because the steel is softer. Yes in a junk aftermarket blade they should have a small radius on the edge because they can’t hold a sharp edge because steel is softer than oem. Razor sharp edge has no effect in oem blades cuz the steel is hard as fu&k. No customer wants to pay $10 a blades that don’t come back razor sharp.
I use fluid film under my deck. Easy clean up and I hardly even clean. I just use a garden hose. I don’t even use a grinder. I use a file. But I have way fewer blades.
My push mower gets more grass under it after one pass. I guess your Michigan grass is a bit different than my Hawaii grass. I think right now our grass grows about 1 inch a day. And you know I ain’t cutting it every day.
@briandewolfe22 I just keep blades ready and I swap blades once a week. I only do about 25 properties a week schedule wise. So sharpen blades is like 20mins of my time. I'm not changing blades everyday. Hell naw lol
I got this blade sharpener on Amazon that is a knockoff of the American blade sharpener I think made by sporgain, and man what a game changer on sharpening. 30 degree angle everytime and you were pretty much correct on why not razor sharp.
@@briandewolfe22 yeah you mount it to a bench then your grinder hooks to an arm and the blade mounts at whatever angle you set and worry free. If ya look up American blade sharpener reviews here on YT you'll see what I mean. But I got a cheaper version, 65 bucks that is fantastic.
No wonder I can’t find any Rubbermaid containers. You’ve cornered the market 😂😂
Shhhhhhh 😂😂😂😂

I used a file my first 6 months that’s okay. Also where did you buy the fluid film?

Hahah everyday would be wild! I’m sure it’s not humid in Hawaii. It’s boring grass up here mostly weeds haha
My bad boy like that. It doesn't hold clumps. I've never had to scrap the deck. 65hrs in.
That’s awesome!
I have that same Milwaukee impact, thing is a beast
I got that and a hd12 for $200 lol what a deal!!!
That's how I sharpen my blades. I think that's how most of us do it. Im not paying 1k for a machine to sharpen my blades. Hell naw.
Right 😂😂 I don’t sharpen blades that much

Get a 16 foot dump trailer , do not go smaller no point. Always would rather have bigger to hold more material
