Happened to me - twice. First time was 9/11 and the markets crashed. My 401k was cut in half. 2nd time was the real estate/banking crash where high risk mortgages were being bundled and sold on the market. I had 50k in a real estate investment, and then I didn't. However, I learned from my mistakes and am well off now.

The holy father lost that power when governments stopped taking their cues from the Church. While he technically still has such power, it would now only apply to an army that the holy father commands, i.e., a Vatican Army. Which does not really exist, although Vatican City has a substantial security force. Nevertheless, it is not an army, and certainly not one that could compete on the global stage.

I love South Park. I honestly don't know how they get away with the stuff they do but it is awesome.
Who could stop them? They aren't run by a corporate studio. They control the power in contract negotiations on whom they let stream their content. I think only the muhammed one isn't played much but that's part of the joke. Muhammed is shown several other times as a member of the super best friends without a box over him.
