What annoys me so much with the Karen thing is i grew up poor white trash in a predominantly Black neighborhood, if you want to REALLY see Karens go to any McDonalds or just ANY store in the inner city or hood or whatever you want to call it and just watch the customers checking out.

Black women are either the best or worst people you meet there is no in between
3 of the most important people in my childhood growing up as a latch key kid with no family except my much older and very ill Father, were a Teacher i had in Elementary school, a Teacher i had in Jr High and a Teacher i had in High School. all three of whom were Black Women, first of all it is a damn shame what Teachers have become. second of all i have absolutely nothing against Black people, it is ABSOLUTELY a certain culture that is a very big part of Black America and has spread across the western world that i have a problem with. and it gives me at least some hop seeing more and more young black Americans speaking out against and distancing themselves from that culture.

In regard to the last bit about taming our desires, one thing that really helped me do so is this online series called “The Old Man Is Dead” from Andrew Womack. In a nutshell, we are to start meditating on and renewing our minds to the way God sees us because of the sacrifice of Jesus. Romans 6 is the identity, Romans 7 is the carnal Christian or the carnal man’s way of seeing themselves without God’s help, and Romans 8 is the way a Christian sees themself With God’s help. He obviously has a lot of insights to it, but it is a different perspective in how to overcome, or tame, your lusts. It helped me anyways.
