My brother was making some joke about what he wanted to be when he grew up. My cousin said, “how do you know you’ll grow up? The earth is going to die in five years” me and my brother just laughed and he called her a lib (which she did not like). All this to say, I wish people like Greta and would stop scaring kids. My cousin is 12. She now has anxiety from being brainwashed into thinking we are all going to die

The part that gets me is when she says how dare you for pulling her out of school to do this. The only people who should be pointed to at that is her parents. They knew they would get attention from their child instead of them just being another of those crazy environmentalist.

1971 in Jr. High school I was told in a general assembly of students that we would run out of fossil fuel by the 1980s and we MUST conserve. Soon thereafter I queried one of my teachers why my LI N.Y. Jr. high school was running the heating at full blast when fossil fuel was in shortage. He told me that if the school didn't burn its annual fuel allotment the allotment would be reduced for the next fiscal year. That was just one of several revelations in my youth that taught me to distrust EVERYTHING the mainstream tells you.
That's how most public operations work. If they don't use it then they loose it. Instead of saving money the objective is to spend this amount, no less, and no more...maybe

Even calling oil a "fossil fuel" was a lie that originated with oil companies. It was a marketing scam that implied scarcity in order to let oil companies raise prices. The oil companies always knew it didn't come from fossils. Oil is found far deeper than fossils have ever been found. They always knew it wasn't a scarce resource. They even "convinced" scientists (in a number of different ways) so that the scientists would go along with this falsehood.
Now, there are companies that are telling us new lies. The lies about man made "climate change." Where "experts" are fear mongering about one planetary disaster after another. However, it's never been about helping the environment or planet... it's always been about money, power, and control.
These "experts" have been wrong in their predictions too many times to list. Yet each of these predictions have resulted in higher taxes.
The government has enacted policies and laws to "solve" some problem the "experts" have scared us about, but then later the government pushed changes have been proven to have worse consequences than the problems they were trying to "solve" to begin with. Yet each time this has resulted in higher prices for whatever the product is that the government pushed (an example of this would be light bulbs, where the government made companies stop selling incandescent light bulbs and replaced them with the twisted ones, which were even worse environmentally) there are many examples of this, though. Replacing plastic straws with paper (which contains chemicals that are dangerous to our health), asbestos (which they KNEW caused cancer before they ever made builders use it)...
The elites and government is not our friends... they do NOT have our best interests at heart... they do NOT care about the environment or planet... or any of the other issues they pretend to care about... they just use fear and lies (along with other methods) to control us.
It's always about money, power, and control.

Concerning Thunberg's tweet at 4:00 - the text does *not* state, or even imply, that the human race will *be* extinct in five years. It states that climate change will, inevitably, wipe us out if something fails to get done in five years. It delimits the time we have left to prevent something from coming in the future. To make it appear otherwise is sloppy at best. It does an injustice not so much to Thunberg as to the conservative position, which the climate activists can now rightly accuse of disingenuous or naive argument. I hope Knowles will publicly correct this.
I love Michael Jackson's "Earth Song." He was obviously very confused about the nature of man and the cause of our problems but the whole album "HIStory" was one of my favorites, and the video was amazing.
