As a thin woman who has always had a healthy fast metabolism let me just say that the overweight girls that i attended school with were the meanest cruelest people to me. I have never believed in disrespecting anyone upon their appearance or weight. They called me anorexic, bean pole, disgusting etc, then would turn around and constantly complain about people making fun of them when in reality i rarely ever heard them being put down.
Same. And, at 50 years of age, I still get nastily skinny shamed by (mostly) overweight women who seemingly have zero clue as to why I find it so offensive.
I used to weigh in over 300 lbs, I dropped down to 135 (5'6") but, growing up I was often Ridiculed by ppl I didn't know, because I was fat, and interestingly enough, I was ridiculed later by ppl I did know when I lost the weight, telling me I was anorexic looking 😂 can't please everyone I guess. But I'm still happy with my appearance and I am healthy 😊
So true.... is it not... interesting how the people that want to play the victim, are the ones victimizing others....(hating on the others they actually aspire to be like, or at least in their head) :) (love your comment, well said)
Okay…lemme get serious about my health. Congratulations on your weight loss! Hoping that things have been going well for you & will continue to go well for you on your weight loss journey!
What’s funny is that with the first video, the lady used the clip of the "skinny girl" doing a suggestive dance, and then said "now that I have your attention…" She knows the dance is inherently sexual, and will get the attention of men. Yet she says that when the fat person does it, it’s not inherently sexual. I’m confused, does she want us to think fat people are sexy or not?
If you follow any of their arguments for longer than 20 seconds, they 100% always contradict themselves or say things that are mutually exclusive. I've got a coworker who is just like that woman. She's incredibly intelligent, but you can see her eyes glaze over when she talks about politics. I had ONE conversation early on, and although she was polite, you can see the buzzwords floating around in her head. She doesn't actually know what she's talking about. She's just repeating what all of her friends on TikTok have repeated over and over.
I used to be 365lbs...a truly big girl. I would get so mad at doctors for blaming all of my issues on my weight, right down to catching a lot of colds every year. I always thought they were just being lazy. Turns out that they were right! When I lost the weight, my reproductive system went from being so sporadic to the point that I was told that I was going through early menopause in my 30s to being able to set my calendar by my periods when I am now in my 40s. I went from bronchitis and multiple bad colds every year to maybe 1 sniffles. I was starting to have issues with my bladder, and the weight loss fixed that. I was heading to diabetes quickly, and my sugar numbers are fantastic now. The doctors aren't there to make you feel better mentally...that's your job...they are there to fix your body, and your body's biggest problem is that you are suffocating all of your organs with all of the FAT. Stop trying to silence the people telling you that you need to lose weight...start listening to those voices, but make your internal voice even louder, and have that voice tell you to put down that cake, drop the body fat, and pick up a set of weights.
I used to be 396 lbs and within 13 months, I lost 150 lbs. I feel better, I no longer have insanely high blood pressure and its all because I LOST WEIGHT.
Ya'll are driving it home...high fat levels directly impacts your health in a very negative way...lose the fat, and you start losing the health issues, plain and simple.
@@AnaLucia-wy2ii well obviously some people are unaware their weight is causing a health issue. If not there wouldn't be this issue of people having heath issues due to their weight but still believing they are perfectly healthy especially with everyone saying being overweight is not unhealthy for anyone.
@AnaLucia-wy2ii It's not helpful? Well neither is being fat. Maybe if they knew how bad it was to be fat they would stop I don't know doing the things that make them fat.
Unfortunately, as much as I understand that being overweight is a genuine health problem that desperately needs to be addressed, I also think there are some doctors out there who make people feel very small because they are overweight. I remember a doctor visit from about 12-15 yrs ago (during a time when I was about 10lbs overweight) and when the doctor came in he looked down at my chart where the weight was listed, back up at me, then back at the chart. He then proceeded to tell me “Wow, I was expecting a massive morbidly obese person, but you actually look healthy at that weight.” He then proceeded to tell me what diet and exercise he would have prescribed to me if I wasn’t from dense-boned heavily muscled stock that makes me 20-30lbs heavier than other fit people even when I have 0 fat on my body. I was there for a sinus infection and walked out feeling shamed for my genetic line.
@@ghostwriter4565 huh, if you're 20-30lbs more than considered fit people in your height, and its not because of fat Also considering the bone density don't affect significant role in body weight, then you're must be a very muscular person. That's a bodybuilder wet dream to have a genetic like you. And how's the doctor expect a morbidly obese person if you're 10lbs overweight of your body chart?
Losing over 200 lbs is incredible. I know how much losing 100 lbs changed my body, I can't imagine how different you must look now. Well done! You deserve it!
I used to be 619 pounds, I am down to 270. I know I still have a long way to go before I'm at a healthy size but I am now fatphobic. Being overweight is horrible. Getting fatter terrifies me on a level I never thought would be possible. I now have heart problems over my weight and I honestly hope people start waking up. Being fat is so deadly and I'm finding out just how deadly it can be. One of my biggest regrets was getting that big.
Oh yeah? What are you afraid of dying young? Afraid of losing a foot? Afraid of being one of those Walmart scooter people? Afraid of a mild illness making you bedridden for weeks? Yeah there's lots to be afraid of being fat.
When the "exercise physiologist" mentioned the girls race. That's all that we need to know about her level of intelligence, and the value of her degree.
I remember when I first started losing weight and a cashier who saw me frequently noticed and said, "I'm not sure if I can say this, but you're looking good! You've lost weight, haven't you?" and I smiled and said that yes, I'd lost quite a bit and was still working on it. She looked so relieved that I wasn't offended and I'm still baffled as to how a sincere *compliment* of any kind can be offensive!?
I think many overweight people are inwardly really down on themselves for being overweight, so any compliment from someone seems like an insult to them. My younger sister has this problem. I complimented her after seeing her for the first time in a few weeks as she had been on vacation to Europe. What I had said was, "you look happy." I then had to endure her tirade about how dare I comment on her weight, at the end of which I replied, "I hadn't, but ok" and walked out the door.
If you are ever unfortunate enough to be stuck in the social orbit of people who think they're all that, won't speak to you, deliberately leaving you out, pretend they don't see you in public, and so on.... let me just tell you, it TICKS me off when I've lost a few pounds and suddenly start getting 'approving' comments from these jerks. A few pounds overweight and you could die of loneliness.... surrounded by those same people. I'm always tempted to tell them "I'm just as unpleasant as I always was, condensed". The cashier though, sounds like a casual acquaintance who was happy for you.
@@marym922 Casual acquaintance, yes. And I'd lost 80lbs. 😁 Blimey, I know what you mean though. There are people I've known (to see, but not to talk to) who are friends of friends etc, and they haven't said anything to me since I've known them, and then they come up to me telling me I look "good" or "healthy" and never say anything again. Why even bother, mate? Just keep ignoring me. 😂 (I'm an introvert, so honestly just keep ignoring me)
The stupidity behind anyone being offended by a compliment is, from what I've read on various sites, is that "No one should be complimenting anyone's appearance because you have no idea what they've been through, or are going through, and even though you think you're being kind, you're not." If someone I see only occasionally notices my weight loss (a work in progress right now) and says something nice about it, you can know that I'll be climbing up onto the nearest roof and shouting my joy from up there (virtually, of course, not literally)!! It would make me super happy that anyone would notice I've been working hard to get healthier and lighter!
As someone with a disabled body, I want to be left out of the "body positively" movement. Stop feeling sorry for disabled people, very few of us appreciate it or want to see ourselves as victims.
I think because they don’t believe in the soul, the acceptance of their body becomes paramount for their “self validation” because they think that’s all there is.
I agree as a fellow disabled person I refuse to let it get in the way of my life is it hard to walk and run sure is but you know what my kids happiness is more important being outside running around with them and being present in their life is more important than anything I’ve got going on with me
In addition to the victimization, they somehow also do the celebrating and glorifying (but not really) of the disability itself. I don't get it at all.
You easily lose weight by getting brown fat. Kids were born with brown fat. Brown fat makes lose weight faster. But people eat a lot of sugar, salt, alcohol, and smoke. these things cause toxins. You have to eat vegetables, fruits, and healthy stuff to get brown fat. Also showering for 5 minutes in cold water or wearing less warm sweaters helps to increase the beige fat. I got tired of being called fat so I did something about it. it took 3 years to drop 110 pounds. Everything about me changed for the better. It wasn't easy, to start but I did it doing 3 minor workouts a day, One in the morning, once after lunch and once after dinner. After three months, it just became a routine habit. I ate a lot of protein to help build muscle mass and stopped eating after 5 pm at night. I am still large but my body is not flabby anymore. Maybe I should say I work out 4 times, I do walk my street at night, a round trip is 1 mile.

99% of the people you'll meet while getting healthy are upbeat, positive, and encouraging. And, yes, people who exercise a lot are usually positive like that. :)
The gym community is one of the most encouraging and wholesome out there. Yeah there are a few bad apples but on the whole, gym bros are the nicest people ever.

From what I understand, the reason TikTok tries to censor the larger lady “dancing” is because the software is searching for exposed skin, not anything else. So because there is more skin to see, the algorithm gets confused and assumes she’s nude, the color of her shirt probably doesn’t help.

I believe it is because of how much of her thighs were exposed. The "fit" woman had her thighs pretty well covered where the "larger" woman had her shorts pulled up above her thighs into the skin fold. So I agreed with it because 1 vid has her covered like a person walking down the street where the other one looks like she is in underwear because her shorts are pulled up exposing her full thigh area.

Doctors aren’t there to be your friend. They are there to be an advocate for your health, oftentimes in spite of the patient’s insistence on doing things counter to their good health. And honestly it’s mainly folks who are dead set on not caring about their weight who get offended when it’s brought up. People trying to better themselves tend to want to bring it up to measure how they are progressing, to hear the doctor encourage their good decisions and provide validation that the tough choices have begun to produce better health outcomes for them. The doctor is there to be your partner in achieving the healthiest version of yourself that you can manage. That means getting the harsh reality check we often need at times to shape up.
All health care from now on must be based on affirmation. When I see my doctor, he'll be delighted to learn that I drink & smoke too much, gleefully punching my inevitable heart/lung & liver transplants into his business plan.

Purpose of a doctor is to tell you if being overweight has an impact on your health. I'm overweight, and my doctor didn't say anything in that regard. He did the blood work, asked questions about my activity did some mobility tests, and in the end calculated the risk of having a heart attack. Take yourself more lightly and don't obsess over imperfections or mistakes. Believe it or not, people around you love you and don't care about your weight or imperfections. They care about how you treat them. Aim for health and joy, not physical perfection.
I am a former anorexic. Got hospitalized quite a few times. The issue with both sides of the spectrum (anorexia and binge eating) stems from self worth. Find your value in God and the eating disorders will go away. Also, exercise does help with body dismorphia! My testimony is in my youtube page. May God bless you and help you overcome it!
Just keep trying. I know it seems impossible I can tell you first hand it's not. Go see a professional about your nutrition so they can try to keep you in the middle
I don't think it's fat phobia, but I've had doctors treat me a certain way because I'm overweight. I went into planned parenthood for a pregnancy test and possible yeast infection. At the end of the visit, the nurse handed me a "pamphlet" which was a piece a paper, printed from a website, folded in half with my BMI and what a healthy BMI should be. Another instance, I was having fertility issues and went to see a doctor, who told me I shouldn't want to get pregnant being "as big as I was," and refused to help me until I lost 50lbs. I think if you go into the doctor's, the doctor's job is to judge you. There are some doctors who are going to shame you for your weight and others who just won't say it out loud. 😅 It is what it is.
@@strawberryynoodlesauce It very much does. When you are obese, you have an excess of fat; therefore, you have an excess of fat cells. Fat cells produce estrogen. High estrogen levels can affect ovulation, ovarian cysts, endometrial lining overproduction, and uterine polyps. It throws off your hormones. But it's not always the sole reason for infertility. And a doctor should be running tests first in order to determine what needs to happen. Turns out, I had cysts on my ovaries, closed fallopian tubes, and adenomyoma in the lining of my uterus. My weight wasn't going to change my ability to get pregnant.
I've had body dysmorphia. I literally thought I was fat when I was underweight. It wasn't fun. I would be convinced I was gaining weight when I was losing weight. In the summer I had a choice between wearing shorts and being mentally uncomfortable or wearing trousers and being physically uncomfortable. I quit archery because I was scared of having to loosen my arm guard because of weight gain. Body dysmorphia is really horrible. I think people with it should get the grace to be allowed to express their feelings about their body without being shamed for being fatphobic. And most people with body dysmorphia don't care about any body other than their own. The fatphobia is most likely directed at themselves.
LMAO! Probably THE best intro ever made. Excellent. Also- The “Exercise Physiologist” is legit, she literally exercises the common sense and reality demons out of people
My Dr is an old school military veteran. About 60 years old. I got really lightheaded one day so I went to his office. I was 274lbs. He’s like “Your blodd pressure is through the roof. You’re obese.” I’m like “Doc, yea I’m 274lbs but lift weights all the time.” He’s like “Dude, your 274. Your fat. You need to lose a significant amount of weight. So I started eating better and lost 50lbs, fat phobia is a good thing. I’m scared of being fat. That’s not a bad thing
I am a nurse and often see doctors going out of their way to tell overweight people that their health problems would improve if they lost weight... it's not even mentioned! So these stories of being "fat shamed" at the doctor's, I take with a sceptical pinch of salt!
I had an appointment with my PCP ten days ago. The first thing he said when he came in and shook my hand was "So what happened that you put all this weight back on?" I had successfully lost 66 pounds, but over the course of 18 months I had put 72 pounds back on. He was going through a painful, nasty divorce at that same time and hadn't noticed such minor things in his patients as weight gains and losses during that time. Now I'm back on the keto plan---the only thing that works well for me---and am on my path to losing that 72 pounds, as well as the other 50 I need to lose. But at least he has the guts to say something, and then to support me when I told him I'm back on the keto plan. He hadn't liked that in the past, but it works for me, so he said to continue.
As someone who is park of the chronic illness community I can assure you it happens ALL THE TIME! We talk about it regularly in our groups, in instagram posts etc. So many of us had our very serious diseases over looked because we were a little overweight. I was very fit, ate extremely healthy but had a higher bmi (I am a very muscular person and have had 5 babies), my PCOS, and MS were overlooked for YEARS because of my weight!
When I was more of a lib, I would have gotten mad at a video like this. However, now, I am both agreeing and learning a lot from Mr Knowles. Thank you, sir.
My only fat phobia is to never become fat. It keeps me eating right and exercising. Encounters with the obese only motivates me more, while privately hoping they'll eventually resolve to take control of their lives too.
You know someone told me I was fat recently. I knew I was fat. I've always been fat, but ya know... getting shamed really lit the fire, and I'm down 20 pounds over a few months. Shame is good. Shame tells you when something is bad. You take care of the things that bring Shame... then you don't feel it, Magic.
It stings at first but you are thankful later. My mother told me I gained a lot of beer weight after a semester of college and I never came back home fat again. I would have never realized what I was doing unless she pointed it out.
I've said it once and I'll say it again: I watched my mom struggle with her weight every single day and saw the mental and health problems she had. It scares me to think I was headed in that direction. Now I'm taking my health into my own hands by trying to walk as often as I can and eating healthier meals while telling myself a treat is just a treat and not a meal replacement. I vowed never to be heavy like my mom had been but I'm also not the skinniest either. Doing it nice and slow as it should be.
Genetics is a huge component but can also be helpful. My mother and aunts on both sides of the family are pudgy. Not fat but still overweight. I knew from a young age that my weight was going to be a lifelong struggle if I didn’t want to turn out the same so taught myself to diet when I was young. I have a maximum I allow myself to get (5 lbs overweight on the BMI) and once I reach it I lose 10 lbs then the cycle slowly repeats. The trick is to not let it get so out of hand that you give up. Best of luck to you. You can do it if you want to badly enough. Limiting food intake really sucks for at least the first two weeks but after that your body adjusts and it gets much easier.
I’ve always struggled with my weight, and I’ve only had one doctor who was an absolute a-hole about it. About 20 years ago, I was not in a very good space mentally which most likely contributed to my gain at that time. It was my first time seeing this physician and he asked me “do you know what exercise is?” And because I deflect with humor, I told him “my father, who is also a doctor, told me that we have a limited number of heart beats in our life and that I shouldn’t waste them exercising”. He didn’t find that funny 😄
I believe that as well tho. Every body has only so many heart beats. You dont live longer by speeding those beats along. Want to live longer? Take a nap.
@@davidhernandez4156 Being fat puts more strain on your heart 100% of the time. Exercising puts strain on your heart some of the time. But then again how can McDonalds be bad for your heart if you're in love with it...
One thing that's funny to me; is that in almost every movie where the main character is bullied, or told they cant do something because they're fat, they go on some montage to lose the weight instead of crying about not being accepted
The nose ring signifies ,i can easily be lead around by anybody ,anytime , for any stupid reason. They might as well put a sign on their backs saying , im not with stupid , i am stupid.
I'm fat. I know I'm fat. II am currently taking steps to reverse this issue. I don't want to be fat, not because I feel shamed or judged by others, but because I don't like being fat. I don't like the pain my body is in because I'm carrying around a couple hundred extra pounds that my body wasn't designed for. I hate that I can't walk very fast because my knees, feet, and legs hurt. I am not releasing weight because I want to fit into some mold that others have for me. I was a normal weight once, and I loved that. I let myself go, and I want to be back to where I was just a few years ago. Because back then, I could do a lot more, and I felt better physically. It's so ridiculous that we have this attitude in the world about being fat. That being fat is okay and actually healthy. It's not. God designed the human body to certain standards, and when we go outside of those standards, problems arise. It's not healthy to be fat. Stop saying it is.
I needed this message. I too want to get back to my weight I was in 17. I've been bullsh#tting so long and I am tired. Sending love to you. You got this!!!
Hmm. I don't think the message is that being fat is healthy, because there are "thin" and average people who are not healthy either. It's ok to not walk around feeling shameful of how you appear, if you are doing the best you can. Others will usually hide their own insecurities by pointing out someone else's flaws, it's on them, and their opinion is their business and insecurity. ;)

She was ranting into the void until Knowles gave her a venu to be heard...
lol I acc found this comment funny, TikTok an app for women to just rant.. ur not wrong
What’s funny is that with the first video, the lady used the clip of the "skinny girl" doing a suggestive dance, and then said "now that I have your attention…"
She knows the dance is inherently sexual, and will get the attention of men.

Interesting. I lost 30 pounds and got pregnant easily after. So easily, my kids are only 10 months apart
Well spoken
I used to be 396 lbs and within 13 months, I lost 150 lbs. I feel better, I no longer have insanely high blood pressure and its all because I LOST WEIGHT.
Ya'll are driving it home...high fat levels directly impacts your health in a very negative way...lose the fat, and you start losing the health issues, plain and simple.
You go girl! May God bless you.
Imagine going to the doctor for health concern and then getting mad when they bring up a concern about your health.
It’s not helpful. People are aware that they’re overweight. They don’t need to be told.
@@AnaLucia-wy2ii well obviously some people are unaware their weight is causing a health issue.

I think many overweight people are inwardly really down on themselves for being overweight, so any compliment from someone seems like an insult to them. My younger sister has this problem. I complimented her after seeing her for the first time in a few weeks as she had been on vacation to Europe. What I had said was, "you look happy." The stupidity behind anyone being offended by a compliment is, from what I've read on various sites, is that "No one should be complimenting anyone's appearance because you have no idea what they've been through, or are going through, and even though you think you're being kind, you're not."
If someone I see only occasionally notices my weight loss (a work in progress right now) and says something nice about it, you can know that I'll be climbing up onto the nearest roof and shouting my joy from up there (virtually, of course, not literally)!! From what I understand, the reason TikTok tries to censor the larger lady “dancing” is because the software is searching for exposed skin, not anything else. So because there is more skin to see, the algorithm gets confused and assumes she’s nude, the color of her shirt probably doesn’t help.
well, sure that Might be the case.. i definitely do not know.. but it could also just be a coincidence , and she didnt get the notification/warning for the Non-fatty (or she is just lying and got it for both or even got it for the non fatty, etc)

"Exercise Physiologist" means she should be a physical therapist, physical rehabilitation specialist, or kinesiologist or possibly a cardiac rehabilitation specialist. All programs that teach about how being overweight is detrimental to your joints and overall health. If she is doing nothing more than "managing gyms" then she either has no actual degrees/certifications or she is so intolerable and insufferable that no actual medical facility will hire her.

Both types of clips should be age-restricted, honestly.
As an overweight woman, I'm very embarrassed that a woman of such obesity would show so much of herself. It makes me embarrassed for all of us who are working so hard to lose weight just to be healthy, not even aiming for anything like "sexy" (my thought, not what you said).
That IS true, but I wouldn't say the fat one is sexual. When I think of the word "sexual" it kind of interlinks with someone being physically attractive, and because of that physical beauty, I want to have sex with that person (or other people want to have sex with that person, bc I'm a straight woman and have zero interest in having sex with a woman).
Tbf being fat does affect fertility
Phobia =irrational fear. What I feel =completely rational fear

I am a nurse and often see doctors going out of their way to tell overweight people that their health problems would improve if they lost weight... it's not even mentioned! So these stories of being "fat shamed" at the doctor's, I take with a sceptical pinch of salt!
That's the thing. A LOT of these people's problems stem from their obesity. They want to treat the symptoms, not the cause.
So if you don’t witness something it doesn’t happen?
I had an appointment with my PCP ten days ago. The first thing he said when he came in and shook my hand was "So what happened that you put all this weight back on?"
I had successfully lost 66 pounds, but over the course of 18 months I had put 72 pounds back on.
How did you not burst out laughing when he called you "skinny boy"😂
My only fat phobia is to never become fat. It keeps me eating right and exercising. Encounters with the obese only motivates me more, while privately hoping they'll eventually resolve to take control of their lives too.
To be fat is to be unhealthy. Literally! You're not well, seek help, lose weight... Its YOUR choice.
The exorcism physiology joke just kept getting me🤣
Same!! every time he said it I laughed like a little child 😂
As a fat person...where do these people even come from? I'm out of breath just watching them.
The editors trolled him so hard. "Skinny boy" 🤣🤣
That's hilarious though
I believe that as well tho. Every body has only so many heart beats. You dont live longer by speeding those beats along. Want to live longer? Take a nap.
😂 Fair play.
Is that true? I'm dead soon. Crazy heart rate!
@@davidhernandez4156 Being fat puts more strain on your heart 100% of the time. Exercising puts strain on your heart some of the time.
But then again how can McDonalds be bad for your heart if you're in love with it...
If I don't feel like exercising...I watch a fat phobic tik tok or fat acceptance vid, and I am off my butt and ready to work out.
Your editing team is comprised of geniuses
Agree. Producers are on it, and apparently having fun too!

Skinny boy
"When you go to the doctor, bur want affirmation instead of treatment" is something, that isn't only applicable in some of these cases.
Difference is, the second one demands you bring them Solo and the Wookiee!
Others will usually hide their own insecurities by pointing out someone else's flaws, it's on them, and their opinion is their business and insecurity. ;)
wish you the best !
I took out my nose ring about a month ago after realizing every TikTok you & Matt show, the person has a nose ring.
Im still so embarrassed that I had that in common with them 😂
@@infinitybuse9782You think that because that is perhaps, largely the case, but it is not always true. My mother has a nose piercing and she is among the wisest people I know. You can attest to her wisdom by the fact that I, her son, am watching Michael Knowles and not making my own Tik Tok supporting modern “body positivity”
@@infinitybuse9782nah body modifications can be cool , like tattoos or robotic limbs,i kinda really want the special prosthetic leg made for running, since you can't run in regular prosthetics
@@infinitybuse9782I agree, somewhat. Unnatural hair dye and non-ear piercings just don't seem quite right to me.
I love my tongue ring big time getting my belly button one done soon
@@cullenshadow1007 Some of the people who are even more wise know that rings were placed in animals noses to control big bulls with really a small string, and to keep pigs from rooting (digging in the ground with their nose). So secretly we laugh at that. Sorry.
As someone who lost about 85 lbs, I know how tough it is to be overweight, but at some point, you gotta take responsibility for your own actions. I’m attracted to curvier women too, but there’s a limit
the straw that broke the camels back is when you have to hold your breath to tie your laces
Thick girls are sexy AF. Tanks that can't counter their own gravity, not so much
Your video editor is my hero 😂 I love this episode so much!
