Sydney Live Steam Locomotive Society January 2022 Running Day

The January running day was a fairly quiet affair. On the elevated and before public running we see a 2.5" gauge Dyak, followed by a 5 inch gauge 0-4-2 Ajax, a "Lion' style ancient monument that has been stored for 38 years and now with minimal work running like a sewing machine.
The first show train consisted of a brand new B1 'Gazelle' double heading with B1 'Impala' on 4 cars on the elevated. Gazelle alas had to retire but Impala was then assisted by Ajax.
On the ground level we had 3609 on 3 cars plus van on the outer and double back to back GMs on the 7 car set. On the Inner Main 'Toneya' made easy work on the Pullman cars.

You don't see enough 2.5" gauge, a couple near me but definitely not enough. Brilliant video

I'm sure that I saw Ajax running at SLSLS many, yes probably 40 plus, years ago. I was amazed at its performance then and still am. Remarkable for its size.
