Extending your setting forward and making flat impact sends the floater correctly, the 2nd he follows all the way through which negates the floater effect
It’s not. With the float serve you don’t follow through with your arm like he did in the second clip. That gives spin to the ball which won’t make the serve float.
@@amberlynnerebait wasn’t the follow thru it was stepping over the line and foot faulting. there’s always going to be some follow through even on a float it’s just important u don’t move ur hand
As a volleyball player, I can actually see the difference. In volleyball, there are 2 types of jump serve. Float and top spin. To float the ball, u need to keep ur hand and palm stiff and hit the ball in the middle so it has no spin and basically goes nuts in the air. You can also compare it to a knuckle ball from soccer. So that's what he is trying to explain. Hope it helped.❤
For me to see that as a work of art, it would have to include some torso twist and a fluid, easy whip-like motion that snaked its way up to the palm with no fuss. What I see is a stiff upper body and an arm clubbing the ball.
Yea the 1 video didn't relaky see the different but the second video show what the different the first slap is up at the ball and the second is slap the ball
It’s the follow through of his arm and how his hand hits the ball. For a float you don’t want the ball to spin so you don’t follow through with your arm as much.
The arm motion. In order to do a floating serve you have to not go full swing because what you want to achieve on that kind of serve is for the ball to not spin at all
so the other day in practice(i play club) we were serving and like this is sk stupid to me bc i was float serving right and then one of the coaches at my club asked “why aren’t you swinging all the way through” just because i missed a few serves while we were warming up and i was so mad
I think the point he is making is to contact the ball with a flat, open, vertical palm rather than wrapping fingers over the top. I do not admire the stiff upper body and the way he clubs the ball, however.
@@paulgoogol2652 if only😭 my teammate on varsity serves floaters and I am terrified whenever she goes to serve and I have to receive it 😭😭😭 and it’s usually always in. Watching the other teams try and receive her serves though is kinda funny 💀
1. Starting position of hitting hand. Have it up, ready to hit before the toss. 2. Finger placement. Instead of curling around ball, have your fingers flat. 3. Hit timing. Hit on the way down, not way up. 4. Explain your damn videos if your intended audience is beginner-level.
Ive actually gotten really good with my float serves recently. I can prove this is true in Serve receive people struggle to get my serves up because their hella nasty serves. Flat hand against the ball palm open helps ALOT
My serves are just hard and heavy to pick up sometimes. So thank you for showing us!!
Hmmm

Hmmm
yes yes very specific with the details i see, thanks to you i am now a service acer
the difference is the second one will have top spin since you are snapping over it instead of hitting it directly with your palm.
@@benreyes9823he’s not snapping he’s just following through
nah the difference is that on the second one his foot was past the line
You can barely receive a floating beach ball. That’s why you don’t understand the difference
Extending your setting forward and making flat impact sends the floater correctly, the 2nd he follows all the way through which negates the floater effect
Im 90% sure that first "this is bull shit" clip is the same as the first. 😂

this reminds me of those drawing comparisons. "don't draw like shit, draw nicely 😊"

Cheers that helped me a lot
Thanks for the TIPS! 👍👍
This is good and also funny 😂
The first one looks the same to me
he stops his arm
He invades the area in the second example

Thanks for this information
thank you you i learnd how to serve
Love that his arm goes from low to high for his float.
Oooooh, now I now that serving straight down onto my side of the court is not good, I can finally serve!
He stepped on the line
Now i got it ❤
YAMAGUCHI 🔥🔥🔥
I’m starting volley ball after school on Mondays so this will help Ty
My coach tells me to do the exact opposite of the right thing and my serves have been getting worse
Follow whatever you know that is better for you. No one knows yourself better than you
Why would you listen to your coach if you KNOW they're actively making you worse? I get it's their team, but you can't get worse for their sake.
Someone is not following directions and is blaming the coach, way to go! Why did you hire a coach in the first place?
@@lehapankoff, in fairness, I have seen some pretty bad coaching advice given by those who are in over their heads.
Great example!
I found my own way of serving. The opponents knees are shaking when I go to service

i think i see it ty
Bro i was confuse on the first and sec clip until i realize hes feet that make it bullsheet cuz it will faul lol
So bassically all my live ive been doing float serves
Is this why my forearms be hurting when I serve? Every time I over hand serve a few times it hurts my forearm pretty bad and I’m not sure why.
Used to as well, make sure your stepping with ur right hand before left
This is a worked of art
This is a bull Shesht
I can't even do the wrong stuff.

Thank you bor
❤❤❤
My problem is striking too hard with palm that ball just crosses out of bounds
❤❤❤❤
Oh.. I was doing the wrist technique for the serve... That's why it was going to close to the net
in the 2 second one the guy stepped on the line which means the other team will score
so basically to float serve you hit then stop but to do it wrong you hit then follow through
I think the point he is making is to contact the ball with a flat, open, vertical palm rather than wrapping fingers over the top. I do not admire the stiff upper body and the way he clubs the ball, however.

I habe die zweite Technik und die ist perfekt dadurch kommen meine Bälle angedreht und machen am Ende gefühlt eine 90grad Kurve
I can't serve like that 😔
im so sorry but whats the dofferent in the first one???? 😅 (im a beginner vb player)
Is it compulsory to dunk by jumping into the air or can we do it from the ground?
I see, slap the ball seems ezezezezeEz zeEEZEZEZEZ

now the question is... how do you receive a floater...
The thing is.. you cant
Just pray it will miss. You may blow out some air upwards and hope for the best.

you want your palm to hit the ball instead of fingers
This is next level up… gotta learn the bs before you can do the work of art.

I’ve started playing volleyball but I can’t see the difference between a float serve and a normal overhand serve, could anyone explain?
Is it that I don't have enough strength, or I just simply don't know how to overhand serve?
that's a partial explanation, that alone will not obtain the desired effect
My serve is float serve
Tbh it doesnt matter as long as it passes the net. %95 they will counter any serve
I can't do all even, all won't reach the net, I'm super weak and is 16bmi
Bro says bullshit socchill like it's nothing xD
What was the mistake in 2nd clip😮?????
Is this true? It will be difficult to shoot

my serve is a snake serve
how are the first ones different?

Hit the volleyball in the centre and with no spin...it will "float".

You definitely can, but as you do it more and depending on the serve you want, you don’t need more than a small step forward.
This ball name
Please explain, i can barely see the difference
There is more than 1 way to do float serve... No bullshit 🤣... Some people think there is only 1 correct way.
