I broke my back in a car accident 2 days ago... And I have been binging your channel all day and just wanna say thanks for the great content, you have made a shitty situation better and hope you don't change too much once you have 10 mil subs, keep on keeping on
how's the back?
Lol I haven’t trusted a fart in years. I feel like when I attempt this same swap I’m gonna cut the car down the middle and deal with patching the roof trunk and hood later. Then the Wheels could be tucked in and It could sit low. Also this channel is so underrated
I’ve widened a couple cars in my day, it’s a ton of work but looks awesome when done. Thanks for the kind words!
Yeah. I would widen the 65. Glass would be the biggest problem. But do-able
Will need custom glass for that, that was i thought about too but that could be tricky
@@reacew7624 plexiglas would be easy
I was thinking the same thing. Widening the body would save more of the structural strength of the newer Mustang. And the tires would be tucked in. 😁
Set of with gauges for transferring measurements - Cut and label a set of 2x2's for internal widths of old body at strategic points, so you can compare them to the new chassis with lots of continual measuring
Don't be bringing logic into this!!
I'm glad you're feeling better. Thanks for another great video.
It is great that you got the Mustang body setting on the modern chassis. Keep up the amazing effort and I am looking forward to the continued build on this Mustang. I hope that you can get the trimming all figured out. I know that it is not easy to get it bonded together to fit right. The windshield will be a challenging area to get to fit right. Hopefully you will get it to work out without any hiccup's. Have a blessed week.
I was worried when you started this swap. Because everyone of these swaps I have seen done looks like crap. the 64 just doesn't fit on the newer Mustang. It just doesn't look like it belongs their. Cutting it up and putting back together is the only way to make it look like it came that way. But that's going to be a craze amount of work. what ever you decide to do I am sure it will look right because you are the best body swap guy on the internet. Thanks for the great content
You have given me some great ideas if I ever go insane and want to try something like this. I know this is not easy, because I've tried what you did with the F-1000. I ended up going another direction. I really like your videos and I think that the content is excellent. Keep up the great work, can wait for you next video.
Bart
Thank you very much!
I love your name for some reason
Awsome job. 👍 I seen a 67 mustang fast back put on a modern mustang. The guy widened the mustang 1 inch on both sides in the quarter panels doors and fenders and was able to keep the windshield. He put on a eleanor mustang fender flare kit and ran side exhaust to hide the rockers.
Man I wish I had half your ambition on a project . I'm tired anymore and always busy , have great ideas and the want to do the stuff then when the time comes I just stall . I really love your videos and all the work you do !
Shiiiiiiiiit... any progress you share with us, is more than appreciated. I'm sure we're all on pins and needles, waiting for the next step. Thanls for content, man .
The rocker panels on the 65 Mustang is two pieces, you can remove the inner piece, giving you a lot of room. Suggest plasma torch, then drill out spot wells. Rocker panel on the new car you cut it open and a lot of it off as you have, put in a piece of steel for support and you can cut the wide part off under the rockers so it does not look stupid. You can weld them together under the car.. Spot weld them above of course. Wind shield frame split add a piece, split and move inner for the windshield glass. Tilt 65 mustang down in front and slide it on instead of force, then you can see better what needs to be trimmed.
love the mustang build! I am an old school mustang man. First car was a 67, and drive a 2009 now. can't wait to see the finished project. Nothing like a good old SHART to shut down a project. Keep the content coming I can't get enough.
"i do my shit too weird anyway" same
Still amazed on how much work you do by yourself 👍🏾
She's coming together. It's going to look sweet!!!
Casey says that's it I'm done cutting no more cutting and then he goes back to cutting. Lolol keep it up man.
I don’t know when to quit when it comes to working and filming lol
Most definitely, your channel needs to be in the top 10. Love the content, keep up the good work.
Very cool. It becomes exciting and invigorating when the thing the two pieces go together and you can start to see what you've done. Thanks for sharing. Bob from Virginia
Bro I'm loving this mustang series. Widen the suspension is simple. Widen the body takes balls and skills bro. Love it.
Ofc I hated seeing a new mustang get cut up, but This builds gonna be cool asf. I can't wait to see the result
I thought about doing this myself but then I stumbled across your videos and all I needed after was a comfy seat.
Man your really good im 71 had those 60s cars when New ill spread the news about your channel you should be 100k at the least keep doing you and your podcasts has nowhere to go but up !!!!!
How about side pipes IF you have to do big rocker panels. I don't love my idea, but making lemonade out of lemons. You'll figure it out I'm sure 👍
just discovered you. way to entertaining :D
Thank you for watching!
That new mustang chassis would make a great gokart as is
Awesome it’s getting there
🤙🏼 right at 13:00 was the best! Love it!
Nice work!👍🏼✌🏼
Slow and steady wins the race
Make a side exhaust tunnel to hide and tuck the rocker panels
looks great, love watching these videos they make my day feel a little better
You make me work harder! Love it just wish I was younger ! Keep it up
Takes guts to take a job like this on and keep hammering thru. I wonder, is the dashboard way too high up for this? Its poking thru the windshield now, and you still need like 5" to lower it more. You'll figure it out. I like it
Man I tell you what I can't wait until you get through with this billing this car because you got a lot of things in your head going on but I'll tell you one thing you make it look good and right when you finished can't wait for this rebuild on this car and I can't wait for the next video
It’ll be hard to line things up but if you jack up the new mustang while fitting the old body on it it’ll let the suspension droop while you do your final fitments. Also if your wheel wells allow it, get high positive offset wheels so you can run a big tire and a wide tire with it all fitting in the well. I love you and I love all of your builds, keep up the good work!!
Thanks for always sharing what is a cool journey for us to see
You do realize that cutting the rockers out is like removing the frame. Welding the old body on the floor (won't even call it a rolling chassis) will not replace the strength you've removed.
You do realize you can add strength back in right? “Will not replace the strength you’ve removed” is laughable 😂😂
Clearly you can't read either. Welding the shell to the floor won't replace the strength. If you think that's laughable, clearly you have no concern for peoples safety or its a lack the knowledge. You are going to need to add a considerable about strength back under that so it doesn't taco. There's very little strength to that shell.
@@ryanc3219 did you really think i would just weld the 65 shell back on and assume it’s done. 😂 i see why you have no content posted….
Second watch is even better!
Gettin shit done!,Great job
Let’s go,lone wolf pack!🐺 👍🏼
Holy crap you actually did it! 👍🏻
Looking forward to your next video on this project
Hammer it some more. 👍
ATTENTION EDITOR!!!!
You do a fantastic job of creating a great video of a gorilla making love to a football for our viewing pleasure. You deserve a raise!!!! 😂😂😂😂😂
A tremendous effort to get where you are now. I somehow wonder if widening the '65 body would have been easier. I know glass could be a problem, but maybe a Glazier could customize a shield from a different vehicle, to fit both the front and back glass. I'll bet someone has tried it by now...
You sure get shit done man! Didn't expect to see the body going on already
Casey it’s going to work. It may take some time to get the 65 fitted in. But, your stubborn and talented to get it done. Thank you for sharing
If I ever did do this which I probably won't .I would split the car lengthwise and widen the entire stance of the car. because I would want the wheels to tuck under the fender Wells . I hate flares. Besides that. I think it would look pretty badass to have a wider stance. And to be lower to the ground. widen the entire car probably about 15 in. Use lexan plastic for front and back windows .🇺🇲
I agree 100% seems it would
I agree 100%, you wrote what I was thinking. Also he’s added width to other cars and it would look sweet to be wider and lower.
lexan is crappy for a windshield on a road car/daily.
I'd widen and use the newer windshield.....all those ld cars were way too small for me anyways
I enjoy your channel so friggin much. It's awesome watching you put your skill to work brother. Your a friggin animal. Keep up the awesome content. I've seen them all done. But never seen them being done. Friggin awesome to see the two completely different eras come together an become Caseyfied. Love it brother!!! I won't miss one of your videos for nothing. I share everyone of your videos with all my car guy friends an tell them, they need to subscribe. Keep on Keeping on brother!!! Keep on Motoring!!! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Thank you very much, means a lot when people share stuff. 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙌🙌
This guy is badass
I've been doing a body swap myself lots of cutting but have it on the floor . Keep up the good work.
I just subscribed. Love the car mayhem. Kinda crazy.
Can't wait to see it finished bro great work casey
WIDEN THE OLD BODY!!
Love it! It’s really coming along good.
Glad you feeling better
Interesting, certainly a lot of work but it shouldn't be too much more, it'll be great, all the best to you all
I have a 64 ford ranchero falcon (pretty much an older mistang set up) i took a 00 mustang then did exactly as you described with the door sills and and dash plus i had to cut out the defroster vents. Her name is STANGCHERO.
Casey, I’ve watched your videos and I just can’t take your sarcasm anymore........😂😂😂. I’m just messing with you Brother! Your videos fucking rock! I love them! This is really a wild build, I like where you’re going with it. Excellent work! Keep’em coming. Peace!
Nice work!!!!
Lots of work done
Do a ground effects kit to make up that 8 in section between the tires and it would not look as cheesy
Yea maybe. I gotta come up with something
May or may not have shit my pants love it I love the way your out spoken your not afraid to do you
Food poisoning is the worst! I got it a few years ago from chicken at a friend's house rough couple days Lol glad I live alone😷😷😷😷
I noticed a few times you said; " I'm not in as much as I'd like to be." I've said that a time or two myself...ask my wife!
Lovin this build.
That is coming together great it’s already looks good I think it’s look very badass with a wide body kit one it
Another great video. Just wish they lasted longer.
Thanks for sharing How many of us can relate to the effort is put in on shit, nice fun shit
Dieago Canada
Fkn hack it casey..let's get crazy...I'm digging this man..love the channel..I got a crazy murdered out 85 ranger on full size axles ..bobbed..spiked bumper..
how about taking a zip cut along the top of the guards and doors etc and widen them there, cool project mate
Damn that thing just snapped into place.
Great video look forward to the rest, I have the craziest idea for your next one. Take a fox body and put a ranger on top. Making the ranger a utv. I think it would be epic and nobody's even attempted it.
Cool looking Frankinstang
Ya should've just cut shell in half down middle, hood roof, trunk, front and rear supports and bumpers, weld in widened strip on all those parts, having modern width ,sized shell, and as far as front and rear windshields cust have a couple cut/made
Impressive progress, can’t wait to see the end result!
Looking great so far.
Great to see its coming together, bet you couldn't attempt those jumps a day or two earlier with the whole food poisoning....lol!
A tip from someone who has never done this before to someone who also has never done this before,...... I found out the 2007 Mustang isn't so far off in dimensions to the 1969 Mustang.
2007 Ford Mustang Dimensions 1969 Ford Mustang
Length 187.6 in. 187.4 in | 4760 mm.
Overall Width without Mirrors 74.0 in. 71.7 in | 1821 mm.
Height 54.5 in. 50.5 in | 1283 mm.
Wheel base 107.1 in. 108.0 in | 2743 mm.
Of course it all depends on what car you got laying around but just in case you got some spare cheese and you're going shopping.
dude i have been looking for this video. I subscribed keep it up
L👀K'N GOOOOD
ALLWAYS WANTED WANTED TO BUILD A NEWOLD CAR .
You do realize, Casey, after you get this bad assed "Rustang" done good enough to take her for a drive.... Y'all are going to want to keep her all to yourself, just for the mear fact of the super badassment of it. Ha, love it. Great show my friend. Until next time, PEACE ✌️
It was only a matter of time before the gas station sushi caught up with ya Casey. 😂
Good progress
Killer build. Love that music. Who does it. Anyway good luck on getting it to balance out. You’ll get it. I’m sure. 👍😊✌🏻
It would speed up the process of raising & lowering car bodies if you were to replace those endless chain blocks with small, 12 volt or electric winches. Not only faster each side but, you could raise & lower both sides at the same time, once you got the hang of using them.
Wow, that stuff is going around and around. Great way to drop a few pounds, except for the pain and suffering...
Easier way to cut multiple layers - How about using a circular saw with a cutoff blade so it reaches deeper and you can cut through several layers in 1 go?
The mustang is looking awesome it really does look good
I know it is going to be a shit-ton more work to handle the ugly rockers like other builds do, and to widen it, but I sure hope it ends up being low and wide. This build is something I would love to try at some point, unless I can win this one! Thanks for the continued content!
Its Just like putting together a model car just bigger. Its going to look damn good
Looking good 👍
Casey are you kin to the ENERGIZER BUNNY? There is no way I could go through that musch work, Will be a wonderful build when finished, That is if you do not go nuts first.. A+++++ Keep the Pepto handy.
Very heavy duty stuff. It'll be good and strong
Let's cut it out!! Lol
Great progress .Caseys nappies/ diapers in your merch shop
Impressive Casey, Looks great!!🖒🖒
Yes loved the video take care and keep on doing what you do best going to be a great end project 👍
Definitely love your videos and the Chanel you’re giving me Hella inspiration to do these kinds of projects and I love to see how yours come together stay safe and keep grinding bros 🙌
I’m glad you are feeling better bud! I bet you felt 10 pounds lighter. Lol
Awesome video man!
It would be so unique to widen it. I think it would look so much better. No idea what you could do about the glass, though.
You do solid work ...I already want it!
You're hilarious and get stuff done! I love your videos, keep up the good work!
Keep it going
