I go feral over the juxtaposition spn manages to come up with. "That's the father of murder".....man calmly sets a beehive cover down. Man comes home with groceries....."They're all trapped in there." "With him." That last line has a real shivery horror element but also it's about a character who just wanted to put groceries away.
As much as I love this ep and the storyline, I still feel that they .missed a golden opportunity here to explore the fact that Dean and Sam are Cain's descendants
Yeah why did the show just forget about that? That was a major plot point in season 5, it was the whole reason why Dean and Sam were chosen to be vessels for Micheal and Lucifer
@@penguin50279 There was also the cupid episode in season 5 where they reafference the importance of John and Mary's bloodlines and why they had to get together
@@patrickmcguire7896 I wouldn't say it was a major point. It was mentioned once or twice in passing to try and convince Sam and Dean how important they are and how everything about them was pre-ordained. Then it never gets brought up again for a very long time, and when it is, it establishes that there's a LOT of people descended from Cain and presumably Abel. It was an interesting bit of lore, but it was never really a major point, and a lot of what came afterwards even in that same season kinda diminished the importance a bit IMO.
So glad you liked this episode (except the needle part), it's one I particularly enjoy. I find Cain character very interesting and love the actor; also agree that it's great seeing Sam and Cas and Dean and Crowley team up. I also want to say that I love your reactions and thoughts on the episodes, you are always very insightful with the characters and try to see things from everyone point of view. Thank you for all you do
I usually have to turn away from needles too. In real life, blood tests are an ordeal and I have to do it a few times a year. I’m glad the nurses took it into consideration for your surgery.
I totally understand your thing with needles. My phobia is that I can't stay in any room/hallway, any space that the roof is significantly lower than my height (except cars, but even cars, I avoid low sedans when I can and tend to prefer SUVs). I don't camp, since there is no way I'll sleep in a tiny tent, and caves are a big NO. I have been convinced to visit a few caves that seemed large at first, but as you walk further in and the ceiling starts getting lower... yikes, I get anxious just thinking about it. I visited an historical mine once in Ouro Preto over 20 years ago and that one still gives me nightmares from time to time.
I always look when they draw blood or give me a shot. It is how I got over my fear. edit: It does not work for everyone but you can apply it to any fear, slowly but surely. :)
I been watching along side u, so I don’t know what is next, but as an altar boy as a kid in Rome until my 14teens I know that the Mark of Cain was the first action and symbol God it self placed on our world. Before that it was his Angels that have done his will on Earth, but The Mark Of Cain is set to be so powerful none of it Angels capable of using it or removing it. I can’t wait how this would affect Dean, n how the writers use it. On many show n books is refereed as the First Curse, but there is nothing ever refereeing to it like that in the Bible or religions scripture n at the contrary it set to be the most powerful protection Good could offer. It was because of that eternity of living for ever safely with out any fear of death n harm from anything n been forced to live with the consequences of your actions n not been able to die n have his soul ever find peace, it was called a curse by use Humans.
Yeah, those scenes with the needle were pretty horrible, Jess. The snippets of them I saw, I say snippets because I was having to look away too, they had me saying, “Guys, I just ate, come on!”
..You left out the scene when Crowley sees "The First Blade", He crosses himself ad if he was a Catholic. Have you had that mole on your chest checked? Is that recent? I have not noticed it before.
Yeah I completely agree with you. I do love the MOC arc but I'm not a fan of the set up to get there. Mainly I'm not a fan of this season. I think they should've done more with Abadon like have get a power boost and be an active threat that way Dean would be forced to take the Mark on. Actually how many episodes has she even been in this season at this point? 2? 3?
my mind just like "and I've got the mark of cain-cain-cain-cain-cain" 🤣🤣🤣
Sam owed him that hug lol if you remember i think in season 6 when sam got his soul back cas went in for q hug and Sam declined 😂😆
Cas & Sam and Dean & Crowley are such chaotic duos 🤣
I fangirled once I saw Tim Omundson. I love Psych.
Then you should definitely watch Galivant, the medieval musical comedy he costars in. He plays the sort of villain King Richard.
“not sure if there is more to this mark” - oh boy!

@@penguin50279 Michael says this to Dean in the song remains the same in season 5 as Michael is possessing young John in the past

I can't tell you how long I've been waiting for you to get to this episode. Best guest star EVAH!!!!
I love Cas' PB & J speech. It's genuine. It's a simple and effective metaphor. Cas is just...very much himself in this episode.
This is the first episode where Sam and Cas are together with just them for all of it
we all know why all the Sam and Cas scenes had to be cut and their interactions kept to a minimum. just because Jared couldn't stop messing with Misha

Cain is very intimidating 😂
Welcome to the Mark of Cain storyline! One of the best arcs in the series! Can’t wait to see your reaction to this great arc
100% agree
Dean and Crowley are awesome together but the show stealer is Cain portrayed by Timothy Omundson!
Michael & Lucifer = Cain & Abel = Dean & Sam
This episode is a domino effect that leads to many many unfortunate and some very fortunate moments get ready!!
“Well, didn’t you grow up pretty?” I love Tara! Wish she’d have been around longer. 🥰
And so the Mark of Cain Arc begins!!!!!
Pretty sure Dean only agreed to this out of despair over Kevin and his mistake trusting Gadreel
Very important episode. Love Cain and the lore they added into the show.
I've always thought that the relationship between Sam and Cas was seriously underrated...
I usually have to turn away from needles too. In real life, blood tests are an ordeal and I have to do it a few times a year. I’m glad the nurses took it into consideration for your surgery.
Both of these team ups are great. Cas and Sam & Dean and Crowley in this ep were so enjoyable to watch
Crowley needs Dean's help finding the only blade that can take down Abbadon, Castiel notices some grace left inside Sam.

Im waiting for me and my pal to get ti this episode bc from here I can't blame Crowley praying☠️🤣
I laughed int he exact same way as you at 4:08 making it even funnier. I never noticed this line even though Ive seen the show 5 times
I always look when they draw blood or give me a shot. It is how I got over my fear.

You really managed to needle in on what made this such a great episode!
He played Jesus in Xena and here he play Cain :p
He played "God" in Lucifer
Girl what??! Surgery?? You ok mama?? 🥺❤️❤️
You should watch galavant if you like his performance here 😊

Just finished watching season 15.
Lol washing. Yes please!

Supernatural rule No.1:
Don't eat before watching the show.
I started eating light on show nights when they introduced the leviathans
When you finish supernatural you should watch Winchesters
If ever there's a snake with a needle n syringe for a tongue. God help Jess
❤

I am all for not being PC, but that question about a mole on her chest is way inappropriate. Dude...that's not your business. WTH is wrong with you?
Yeah that's a weird as fuck comment to make to someone you don't know. But also it's probably a shadow, it's only in this video.
Still wierd.
Outrageous comment, wtaf? 🙄
🍿🍿🍿
The MOC arc is unnecessary. Why would Dean want a curse to kill Abaddon, if decapitating her was working before the dumbasses brought her back?

2:49 Its CROWLEY not CRAWLEY🤨he's been around 4 seasons & you still misspronouncing his name.
Sweetie it's "mispronouncing" not "miss pronouncing" :)
