I can’t settle on my favorite moment of the reaction: Your protectiveness of Garth especially after we’ve lost Kevin, your reactions to Garth’s guilt upon learning about Kevin, or the sweet and beautiful moment of Garth and Dean hugging. I loved them all and I don’t want to pick just one.
Dean and Sam find out that Garth is in the hospital and decide to go check on him, when he runs away from the brothers, they investigate the reason behind his disappearance.
I don't have the best memory and I'm watching this for the first time along with you; did they actually SAY last season that Garth split and abandoned Kevin? I seem to remember they kept saying "he's on a hunt" or "gone for groceries". Now it seems like they wrote this episode and said he went AWOL just to explain why they didn't bother bringing Garth back a single time when Kevin was staying on his boat.
You’re so right! Also I’m pretty sure Garth and Kevin were never shown together in the same episode which is so unfair. To be fair Kevin on the boat was a stupid plot hole, he should’ve just been in the Bunker
The brothers getting back together is a mistake and makes no sense! With Sam letting Dean back in without forgiving him is Sam choosing to be bitter & resentful 24/7. Why the hell would any sane person do that?!
It's because the writers never separate the brothers for more than a few eps. So Sam makes a deal to not be brothers and just work together. It doesn't make sense for them to be together again at this point, but since the writers want Sam to have this attitude, then we're stuck with this solution.

WHO KNEW 🙄😆 They call that the sweet spot in the SPN writers room - make it controversial enough to keep the fans divided. Kind of like politics. It's even funnier to see when people argue in the comments on who is a better character or made the right choices...like this isn't orchestrated. Even J2 feed into it and play it up for the fans.
