I agree with you about wanting to explore the addiction more. I thought it would be a bigger deal after they introduced it in the season 8 finale. And hoped Crowley would mention Sam's former addiction to demon blood. Maybe he could make a remark like "I'll give you some of mine if you give me some of yours", which Sam would obviously reject.
It wasn't just Dean that was not happy about the new "decorations" on Baby. According to the commentary for this episode, Jensen was, too ;P They didn't use paint, they scratched it in. He was (still is) very attached to that car ;P
Great episode, you really see the Mark effect Dean more drastically here. Also I don't have a problem with Crowley double crossing the brothers, its like him getting his groove back and they do owe him and they need him so they can't really complain
Think of it this way. This is good aversion therapy for your needle phobia. By the time you finish the series, you'll be completely over it. If not, then start over from episode 1 and go again. :D Mark Sheppard was recently on Inside of You with Michael Rosenbaum where he openly and candidly talked about his recent heart attacks. It's a really good listen, I would strongly recommend it to anyone that hasn't listened to it.
Yes, just when you think progress is made with a beautiful friendship, Crowley cuts the legs out from under the boys. Of course, you can’t keep a good King of Hell down, and in any event, I’m more critical of the boys at this point for not getting things in writing, despite the inevitable loophole exploitation done by our dear Crowley.
So, the needle issue, I'm not really familiar with how it works. If it crops up a lot like in this season, does it get easier over time, like getting desensitised to something? Or is it unchanged every time?
i don't remember exactly, i think there wasn't and what comes rest of the series, i don't recall many needle episodes, maybe one or two, Edit : one more needle episode this season.
I too am not a fan of needles...& Since you have given permission,I'm giving you a heads up...Some needle stuff happens in 3 episodes away from this one😮

Crowley *is* Canton from Doctor Who series 6, right? I've got to get in my head that this isn't early '00's. At this point it's more like mid 2010's.
