Mishas first ep as director (as someone else mentioned here). He didn't mind that he got a script with not a lot of Sam and Dean scenes ;P They - Jared and Jensen - messed with him quite a lot as it is. Didn't plan to at first, then fans asked about it, then they came up with a list of things to do. Misha knew who he was dealing with (he also got a few hints from crew members) and he made an extra copy of his script. Which was good, cause the first one got shredded. They also tried to get into his apartment ment, but Misha left the keys with the consierge with some very clear instructions. He also got pied in the face on set by Jared, got an extra shirt from Jensen to change into ( with writing on it saying "Because I'm the director, that's why"). He changed into that shirt, then a few minutes later, he got pied by Jensen. There is some other stuff, but this text is already becoming very long ... So, as I said, he was very happy that they only had one day of filming scenes with both of them ;)
for me this is one of the best Supernatural lore episodes for just a specific season and then they tie in deeper lore with having Henry, making it even greater.
I love the call back to the recording of the exorcism. They don't do them a lot anymore, but they learned a few tricks over the years and it's good to see that they don't forget all of them.
Same. Definitely a highlight for me, with Sam handling things on his own. Just wished the exorcism recording was used more consistently. Before stabbing them with Ruby's knife We see Sam and Dean fist fighting demons who should be much stronger, and I wished that part of the continuity was kept consistent. Even with the run of the mill demons being such a threat. It would've been absolutely amazing seeing creative ways for the brothers to deal with dangerous threats, while maintaining consistency with the established lore.
I've sometimes wondered that if a Human Soul can be extracted and then returned to the body, if a Soul can inhabit the body of someone other than the original.
I don't know about current times, but in the old days, it was unthinkable for a priest and a nun to be alone together, much less driving around in the middle of the night. Talk about "inquisition" - they would have been inviting investigation,, not representing it. The novice answering the door would have recognized something was very wrong at first glance.

Excellent interview with him on the Michael Rosenbaum podcast: Inside of You. If you get an hour to yourself, you probably want to listen to it. It's amazing, multiple miracles, actually, Mark is still with us after all he went through.
This episode is basically a role switch from last seasons episode 5. There Dean went on his own case while Sam stayed behind and had flashbacks, here the roles are reversed, I’m not complaining just pointing it out

I love this episode! The brothers needed time apart and it was nice seeing Sam on a case in his own and it was nice not seeing him miserable
