PSA: Do NOT Preorder this game, Ubisoft cannot and SHOULD NOT be trusted. Let the game come out and we will see for our selves if it is worth any money or attention!
Just wait a month and get it for 33% off. Or a year and a half and 75% off.
@@BottomOfTheDumpsterFire I've even been doing that with Ubisoft games that look really good (like the recent Prince of Persia game). But that's partially due to the existing backlog I am working through and I know it'll be on a good sale before too long.
Absolutely
Not a singular Ubisoft or EA game is worth pre-ordering, even if they somehow end up being decent.
There's absolutely no reason to preorder a game. You'll get it when it comes out anyways and haven't heard of it was made well yet
Did you know you can't play this single player game without internet
If that's true then I'm definitely out, the gameplay shown so far looks fun but after they announced a season pass, pre-order DLC, early access, and a subscription option I've lost all confidence in it being good. Nobody ever seems to put that much effort into wringing cash out of every facet if the game's actually well-made
Aw hell no, that’s a deal breaker from me instantly
Now THAT is useful information.
@@DocVerdant its amazing they didnt mention all that in this video, it's almost as if it is commonly known those are BAD things to advertize, especially on a game that isnt even out yet. "Oh we havnt even released the game but we are already telling you it isnt complete"
Oh… well then fuck this game. I’m not buying it then.
Just ask us for money next time
They do
Honestly would be cool if this had real behind the scenes and wasn't just an ad read. Get that bag I guess
That would've been better for all involved. One can't dent that
Recently they said something about how they apologized for the poor quality of videos 11 years ago. But I think this is on the same level or worse than that.
the guy reading this sounds sad
He is been forced to do this.
@@otherprisma7354 he's being threatened with money
He should be sad for shilling out for this
i don't expect anything from ubisoft
" ANYTHING " is correct.
You don't have to, beside the community manager for this game were being racist. I'm definitely not looking forward to this game..

yeah, I did too. But now it's not what it used to be. And it's become so unrecognizable that I hardly want to know it at this point. Everything *looks* better but is 1000x worse than just a decade ago.
Did you know you can't even play a new game without internet anymore
Never pre-ordering a game again
💯 this
Only from trusted companies. I only have three that I have enough confidence in to pre-order.

same. i preordered SMT V in 2021 and i felt like i got scammed so hard. i learned my lesson from that one lol
I’d add Supergiant to the short list
Yeah, I know you're gonna get a lot of comments on this one, so I just hope in the future, whenever you take a sponsorship, you're able to keep the DYKG style and writing. Taking a sponsor that overrides your creative control is a much worse look for you than taking one that lets you have the reigns. I hope this isn't a bad sign for the stability of the channel.
“Sponsored by Ubisoft and Disney”
Disney: please we need positive RUclipsrs! *hands over check.
So is this just an 8 minute ad????
And the money they make from it they donate 10k to a charity or organization related to gaming
@@acmiguensthat charity’s name is their wallet
@@Pat4ever. They have given me no reason not to believe them.
Also, if you don't trust them about that, why would you trust them about anything else? From your viewpoint, they could be making stuff up and we'd be none the wiser. At that point, why would you waste your time watching their videos?
@@acmiguens I do not trust them farther than I can throw them and I didn't waste my time watching this video, I unsubbed. Enjoy eating up blatant advertising on your own time.
Did you know sponsors?
I get that it's easy money, but this is just reading a press release.
ubi handed you the script, didnt they? lol
Sorry I've been informed by the developer that this game is not for me
You know the game will suck when they push the ads this hard.
From the first 60 seconds it's quite clear this should have been a Doctor Aphra game
Even if by some divine magic the game comes out good, despite being a Ubisoft game, I don't wanna deal with their shitty launcher and in-game ads.
I didn't want to know gaming
We absolutely do not need to go back to Tatooine.
waiting on ‘1 Hour of DYKG sponsorship clips to fall asleep to’ to drop
Glad that you guys are visible enough for studios to seek your range. I know that not everyone will be happy with a sponsored video, but I'm sure this helps paying the bills and keep the high quality videos coming, those old magazines and translators work isn't free.
Sorry, but I’m not feeling videos like this. I understand this pays the bills, but these kinds of sponsored videos set the precedent that the publishers dictate the story and history.
Investigative journalism like DYKG should be just that, and not plagued by paid opinion pieces.
Not to mention the anti-consumer practices of Ubisoft, including this very game needing an internet connection to install.
All video games companies are anti consumer
Bro it ain't even all that
If the game comes out and its another shitty game, this and other sponsored videos won't have any effect on reviews nor the bad perception of the game
Ign JUST burned a bridge with WB so they could be honest about a game at launch, these publishers don't control narratives bro
He didn't put out a review just an ad its not a big deal
Did I know what? What factoids did I learn here?
This is closer to someone reading an IGN article out loud. This feels like a shill.
Not your best work, DYKG.
So it's Beyond Good and Evil 2 with a star wars texture pack and jammed in AC gameplay built on the backs of sexually harassed and crunched staff and likely riddled with microtransactions?
good way to describe pretty much every ubisoft product of the past decade or so.
Ubisoft lol
I smell the microtransactions within you.
So how evil is the monetization going to be?
I find it convenient that this video pops up at the same time that the story trailer for this game pops up. Synergy!
wow almost like they had a deadline for the contract lmao
@@skillkekzit’s more likely they had a scheduled time to post it lmao
It's been planned. I mean, they are sponsored by Ubisoft and Disney afterall.
Ads used for the gaming archive or whatever, is one thing... UBISOFT!? Really?
I don't mind that you're taking sponsorships, but here you're actively promoting a company that is openly against game preservation and is being legally went after because of their actions. I know you might be desperate but PLEASE understand how tone-deaf this is
How can you do a DYKG about a new game?
Like.. yeah of course I didn't know, nobody could've known.
I get it's a sponsorship, so no hate to the crew. But why did ubisoft think this was a good idea?
Look at that specially curated "hashtag relatable" protag and her "I want to sell toys" creature. Can feel that this is no labor of love, just some corporate leads beating the dead horse that is SW.
Beat it harder, it might cough out a bit more blood this time!
But sir, all we're getting is mucus and spit!
BEAT IT HARDER
Is this a 8 min trailer?
Oh no, Ubisoft payed you guys?!
I can't wait to lose my access to this game in 10 years time and thank Ubisoft for the wonderful memories of me playing it just like how I lost access to The Crew!
This sponsor/vid feels… dirty.
Why ? Even tho all the "did you know" peices were essentially from IGN and Game Informer
Ill take 1 sponsored video that I can just ignore if it means it supports their actual endeavors for interesting finds. All about that balance
@@evileye515exactly! This channel has so much content and great videos to complain about one ad..imo people just like to complain about shit they can have an easy virtual signal towards and pre release ad/hype vids are an easy target
@@PhsycoRedBecause it's Disney, and we know the state of Disney is now.
@@PhsycoRedpfffffft what!?!?! No.. just, no 🤣
Did you know this is an ad?
Ah yes, the channel that I'm subscribed to for obscure facts about old games I know and love is gonna tell me about "secrets and easter eggs" in a ubisoft game that isn't even out yet.
GG, hope the ad money is worth the betrayal of your subs.
No thanks. The toxic developer told me it wasn't for me
its crazy how so many people gave so many views for something they didnt like instead of the many wonderful videos this channel has that are under 1.7M views
Would have been interested in the game, though it seems Ubisoft might want to get used to not making money anymore and be happy with it.
I was at least expecting actual behind the scenes trivia. No hate but this is lousy.
you sound dead reading this script, i hope ubisoft paid well
Question: Given all that Disney did: Shouldn't this game be called Star Wars: Outlores?
did you know gaming, did you know, the game isnt out yet lol
Star wars is meh or terrible theses days. Also their PR team is not helping their case
Jedi Survivor? Star Wars Visions? Andor?
I've never seen a DYKG video ratioed like this. To be honest, well deserved. I hope they learn their lesson and don't do this again.
The irony of so many people hating this video while it also being one of their most watched videos.
I am hoping for somewhat of a remake of X-Wing and TIE Fighter. Where you play a pilot for the Alliance or New Republic and the Empire or Imperial Remnant.
Did you know i don't care anymore
Did you know this game will release broken
Did you know star wars hasn't been good for years now
Did you know ubisoft isn't to be trusted
Yknow weirdly enough I DID know all that... I must be psychic!
i forgot gaming
I feel like a gun is to the back of your head this whole ad
I will not pre-order. F*ck them.
I do hope this video keeps the lights on.
Ubisoft: "please shill our game, guys. No one else will"
Do you feel dirty? DYKG?
As they say in Ubisoft. This game wasn't made for me
I really hope this channel doesn’t become corporate stuff ☹️
Love your videos, but this one feels scummy, not because its a sponsored video, but its a sponsored video from Ubisoft about their own game that's not even out yet. Come on.
Ubisoft? Nope nope nope. Wonder if you have to climb atop a tower to turn off a jammer so your map would open up more lol
I think thiss is their take on that canceled Star Wars 1313 game that LucasArts were going to make. Where you too play as a bounty hunter, but he happens to be BoBa Fett and takes place after Revenge of The Sith.
Fans were asking for a playable game without microtransactions, I think.
This video feels out of character from what you guys normally do. Very weird. You've earned my first downvote.
Pfffft naaaaah keep it
This is a bad look and only a slippery slope into DNKG running damage control for all the Sweet Babies of the gaming industry. A Raid: Shadow Legends sponsorship, or hell, an entire episode about the game's history and what playing it is actually like, would've been preferable to this nonsense game.
I could smell the sponsor from the title and thumbnail.
Feels like I’m just watching a press kit
"We here at DYKG want to help preserve the history of videogames, so we will now take money from a company that actively and publicly go against that premise every step of the way"
This might have been the worst possible sponsor you could have taken.
So it's essentially GTA 2
PLEASE do a video on Twisted Metal trivia!!
of all companies they gave UBISOFT the open world SW game?? oh god here we go again with climbing some sort of tower to fill the map and litter it with a crapload of icons for chores to do
ye this is gonna fail. Anyone can smell the mass layoffs coming from a mile away?
Comments Section: yeah we're totally cool with you doing the occasional sponsored episode, since you're going to use it to help fund all of your other meticulously researched videos that often cost you guys lots of money to make.
Also Comments Section: OMG wtf I can't believe they did a sponsored video!
Chill tf out, you guys. Give me a break.
I think the main problem is that it doesn't feel like content. It just straight up feels like an ad. Ubisoft probably didnt give them anything to work with though
[WARNING: PROPAGANDA]
To be fair, this game does look really cool, and I hadn't heard of it before this video, so this worked in piquing my interest. That said, Ubisoft has a terrible reputation for releasing buggy or boring games, so we'll see if the game is actually as cool as this makes it look.
Sooo, Shadow of the Empire, Disney version? Gotcha.
I didn't know cause I haven't even play it yet.
Get ya ££ up, well deserved
I really desperately hope sponsored videos like this are going to be very few and far between because good god, this REEKS of corporate and was incredibly hard to watch.
Did you know? Ubisoft is desperate to sell you this game by providing you with paid spoilers.
I feel like it should've been a DYKG on a different star wars game since Outlaws isn't even out. Cuz this feels like 100% ad 0% normal information and fact video
who in their right mind would even buy star wars outlaws?
Shadows of the empire did the same thing
yup, pretty much what i expected once i clicked the video. rock on brothers
Yes yes the usual "they are Star Wars fans / made by fans for fans" bullshit
We've all seen what these "fans" do to Star Wars
Just cause someone likes different things than you doesn't make them any less of a fan.
@TheLetterBomber when it goes againts what came before yeah it does.
The game sounds very interesting as presented here. But then again, this is Ubisoft we are talking about. Their games tend to sound very interesting in these spornsored videos, but once you play them it's the very same game you've been playing since FarCry or Assassin's Creed II. AAAA indeed.
Can you guys do a treyarch Spider-Man 2002 video and talk about their development on the game?
What a genius way to use a sponsor. I absolutely love it. This is better than any Nintendo direct, I swear.
Videos like this really hurt your reputation (Or at least for me it does). I gave my sub for the other kinds of videos, not for lame advertisement such as this one. Ubisoft doesnt look good in this manner, even. :( Please go back to quality content.
Please never do corporate sponsored videos like this.
Literally nobody wants them and it devalues your reputation as a gaming journalist/trivia channel.
Infomercials are back baby!
May, “ someone who doesn’t have all the answer”…… but will become a Mary sue by story’s end.
Naw
Did I know? Nope it hasn’t been released yet
I never seen some much butthurt in the comments for a sponsored video 🙃. It’s not the end of the world.
yoooo. glad to see more DYKG. always a great thing to listen to when working or sleeping 😊
Where's BG&E2?
I fear we're looking at it's carcass. The engine looks pretty similar to those demos they showed off a few years back
@@KIIRA_Kascade 100% agree. I do think my comment is a little mean though in retrospect. I understand that this game will sell rakes more and it does look like it'd be a lot of fun. Just a shame that we'll probably never get BG&E2. Hopefully they prove me wrong 🤞
@@VileplumeTea You're right, it probably will be a fun game despite what people are saying here. But personally I'm so burned out/exhausted with the over saturation of Star Wars as a franchise that I can't really get excited for it. I just wish there was something visually fresh and inspired from AAA. I won't judge it till its out though
Didn't you apologize for making this video last year
Ya'll are better than this DYKG.
