If it were a black hole, that would actually HELP Sonic's case. Not even light can escape black holes. Not because black holes are necessarily faster, but because their pull is just that strong.
@@ashemabahumat4173 that wasn't a real one though. And before you say I was a stronger one then that wouldn't make any sense either because Sonic's planet should be gone if that were true
@@Velocity_YT there is no fake black hole, it was as real as any. That said, it was negative hyper-go-on energy based, and the wisps were still around which could've likely counteracted its effect on the planet
@@ashemabahumat4173 that doesn't make any sense. The planet nor the wisp should be swallowed up because of the black hole. It only takes a few seconds for a black hole to swallow an entire planet.
@@Velocity_YT unless its being counter-acted upon, then the pull would only really be strong enough to affect the immediate vicinity. Not to mention it was in the process of expanding but was likely impeded the entire time by said counter forces.
Definitely he could have. Hell if they wanted or knew about it's info, it would have been Sonic and Kirby. But you know what I like that he slowed down to save Pikachu even if it means he'll get caught, it's so in character of him and it makes Sonic one of the truest hero in Smash or in any media in general!
9:29 I agree and I'm proud of that , I'm not a Sonic fan because he is fast , I'm a Sonic fan because he is a hero In that moment that everyone tried to save their own life , Sonic was the only one who tried to save others , I'm proud of Sonic for protecting others at any cost , I'm proud of Sakurai for confirming that in just a few seconds , and I'm proud of myself for being a fan of this heroic blue hedgehog
Null space is a infinite sized dimension that closes off everyother dimension, including maginaryworld, which means its a 6d feat, showing us he has immeserable speed
Yeah! True! I also believe so, because Sonic has immeasurable speed and there are several facts that prove it, but as the game it has to be interesting and give a good atmosphere the script made Sonic get caught along with the others (and also because Kirby is Sakurai's favorite) but if we were to put in the real data and not script it it was for Sonic to be able to escape without problems with Kirby
Where does it say that?🤔 Also *Immeasurable Speed* is when you arrive the moment you left, which involves Time Travel. Which Sonic has shown to do when he went Super Sonic and traveled through the Timestream when fighting the *Time Eater.*
@@jaymyster7463 That’s both yes and no, cause it was both a fusion of Sonic’s speed and the *Time Warp* from the *Time Warp Plates* that allowed Sonic to Time Travel in the first place. Also you seem familiar.🤔
Actually, the Sonic Cd Japanese manual says that Sonic goes lightspeed when traveling to different time periods. Sonic’s top speed in Sonic Unleashed is also calculated to be 9 time faster than the lightspeed dash ingame with SPD. There is also a lot of speed feats where Sonic dodges lightspeed laser.
actually his speed in base is irrelevant or inmeasurable cause in sonic generations he can move and run even if the time had been gone in the zone. Heck, even he can restore time and space, run through dimentions (in sonic cosmology, dimentions are something like infinite universes such as the infinite astral plane of sonic and the secret rings and the dimention of sonic shuffle (yes, its canon)) he can outspeed solaris who trascend dimentions "itsa super dimentional being that eats dimentions and universes for lunch!" Infinite has been stated to be "the strongest foe that sonic has!" scaling to 06 super sonic and solaris. Meaning that the speed of infinite is superior. And in the end sonic, classic sonic and the avatar negs infinite and egg dragon (base sonic could handled them" source: Sonic and the secret rings manual, sonic generations, sonic 06, sonic rush adventure and sonic rush, sonic forces manual and guides
@@wishbushwashbosh6443 yeah i know, but hey "the more you know" Now that i think about it, witch other character besides sonic and kirby you consider that can also escape?
This man has been going faster than light since Unleashed in his base. The fact that it can be proven says something, and in Sonic Colors Ds, Omega couldn't even calculate his speed. Also thanks to Sonic letting us know that lightspeed is lightwork to him lmao. But yeah, his "usual form" is just his base form in simple terms. Edit: The Ds and Wii version of Colors are both canon, another big thanks to sonic for mentioning it in Generations
I've thought about this before and my conclusion was that Sonic could have outrun the beams of light, I imagine that he would do a combination of running, dodging, parkour, boosting, and sidestepping to escape. However, as seen in the opening sequence, the light covered the entire planet and then the whole universe. This means that, while Sonic can out speed the light beams, eventually he would run out of places to run. The only way for Sonic to truly escape the light would be to escape the universe. In order to do this, Sonic must go Super Sonic. Much like Kirby, Super Sonic would be able to teleport using Chaos Control to avoid getting caught. The biggest issue to this solution is whether or not Sonic could go Super in time and if he had all seven Chaos Emeralds. Given that Super Sonic is Sonic's final smash, we could assume that Sonic can go Super Sonic, however, we don't know for sure. Even if Sonic could go Super, the time it takes for Sonic to transform into Super Sonic would become a problem, because Sonic needs to be able to focus and his transformation is typically depicted as stationary. This would give Galeem the upper hand and would allow him to catch Sonic during his transformation. Although, as seen in Sonic Lost World's gameplay, it is possible for Sonic to transform while moving. Another barrier to survival is Sonic's heroic attitude. Much like with Pikachu, Sonic would want to rescue as many fighters as he can, which could result in him getting caught even if he could've escaped otherwise. With all things considered, it is possible for Sonic to escape, but it wouldn't be easy especially while trying to save other people. One mistake could be life or death. Tbh while I was bummed out that Sonic was caught and wasn't able to save Pikachu, I'm still pretty happy with happened because the animation expressed Sonic's personality and character in that one scene. He risked all or nothing to save Pikachu and even though he failed, the sentiment makes me proud. Btw in the video you said light was faster than a black hole, but black holes are the only thing faster than light. The gravitational pull of a black hole is so great that light can't even escape it. That's why black holes are black, the light that goes in doesn't come back so we can't see what's inside.
no he is faster than light so he can broke time space and it has been shown in for example sonic rush that sonic is able to open portals with his speed and even with a false chaos emerald sonic has been able to do chaos control so yeah sonic would have escaped
"the time it takes for Sonic to transform into Super Sonic would become a problem, because Sonic needs to be able to focus and his transformation is typically depicted as stationary" Sonic 2 and Sonic 3 have almost near instantaneous transformations bruh, and yeah Lost World also helps in that case.
He could definitely, I’m pretty sure Sonic just wasn’t considered as someone who could survive cause I’m pretty sure sakurai just doesn’t know much about Sonic, I believe it was said he has only played Sonic 1 and Sonic 06 which don’t really showcase just how fast Sonic is. Kinda also explains why Sonic has such a lackluster move set, cause he hasn’t played the games that provide more of an insight to how creative Sonics move set could actually be.
Well, he doesn't know much about sonic, judging on how he made his moveset throughout the years. He could have made the boost his side b for smash 4, for instance, but even in ultimate, he didn't bother himself to do that.
Sonic has been capable of reaching the speed of light since Sonic CD with the time travel gimmick, so that's more evidence that he would've been able to survive World of Light. He also has Chaos Energy, having access to the power of the Chaos Emeralds and the Master Emerald. In SA2, he was able to pull off Chaos Control with a fake Emerald. To those who don't know, Chaos Control is the ability to manipulate time and space at will, so basically Sonic's own version of "Za warudo!". So yes, Sonic definitely would have survived World of Light, and this is game Sonic we're talking about.

Even though he could, he wasn't even a possibility in the choice of the hero story. This is a Nintendo game after all. The way they founded to kill him without making the fan really angry is by making him help pikachu, after all, if he didn't, he would have probably survived.
The answer is yes... But also no. Why no? He slowed down to help someone in need. That was Pikachu. I remember reading a mini comic that he tells Pikachu to do Quick Attack towards him to catch him. Once done, Sonic then runs off not to get hit by the light. That mini comic is somewhere on DeviantArt.
he'd technically be able to use super sonic considering pokemon trainer used triple finish against the beams. Edit: Super Sonic is also invincible so he could have one shotted galeem with that form since he was able to beat solaris (mephiles) with super shadow and super silver and has gotten stronger over the years.

@Oscar Hostias sonic in sonic rush was able to cross through dimensions, sonic generations he recreated space and time The warp star just isnt comparable to sonic speed, its just that the creators doesnt know sonic at all
@Oscar Hostias Please tell me you are more informed right now it's been months, Sonic Rush IS canon, since 06 was erased from the principal timeline untill generations, and Sonic met Blaze and Silver in the main timeline in Rush and Rivals respectively, so Sonic being able to run trough dimensions and time is actually confirmed, other examples would be in Sonic and the Secret Rings, were as stated in the end he runs till he gets to his dimension, meaning that with his speed he created a portal to go back home
...Bro, that's not it. As SONICSTA said, Kirby is capable of doing many things, not to mention he has a *WARP* Star. Man just quit crying about Kirby being the only survivor.
I did hear that hyper go on energy actually is on par or actually above the chaos emeralds. Which is crazy considering Sonic has gone against literal gods as Super Sonic
Even though I definitely agree that Sonic is light speed. Galeem’s light was able to cross the entire universe in a matter of seconds, which is millions of times the speed of light and millions of times faster than Sonic. But if we do scale Sonic to Flash’s speed, which is honestly very unlikely given the actual game feats, he would definitely be fast enough to outrun Galeem.
@@lightgivemepower6425 I agree that Sonic is faster than light, but I doubt he’s millions of times the speed of light in base. Super Sonic is probably multiple times the speed of light but even if we say he’s a million times his speed in base, he still wouldn’t be able to out run Galeem.
@@foureyes5930 sonic in base form did revive time and space with his speed, ran through a room with infinite space entering the astral planes, and ran through null space. Yeah man you said it at the end of your video, he slowed down to save pikachu. I think galeem already anticipated sonic outrunning the beam, so he figured if he took down whoever was next to sonic, sonic might try to save them. You saw how long the smash characters were staring at the master hands, enough for Marth to calculate how many they needed to take down. Galeem had some time to plan his strategy, sonic was definitely a priority. Great video by the way!
Mostly character traits are what make their undoing and bring their demise, not a lack of anilities to escape. Characters such as Mewtwo could easily just teleport away from the cliff, but he stayed because he believes he doesn't need to, given how strong he is, and tries to reflect it instead. Link's shield was one of the only things able to deflect a beam of light, but Link was thinking about dodging and lost his chance, he could just stay there holding his shield if he wanted to. Same goes to Sonic. He's way too selfless to let Pikachu die, despite his capability to escape the light beams.
Hasn’t Sonic been able to travel to dimensions with his speed before? Sonic has achieved infinite speed in his base Classic form alone, but then Galeem somehow ends up killing Super Sonic???? The logic is a bit questionable really.
Sonic would definitely outrun Galeem, but he’d probably get caught NOT because he’s too slow, but because he’d try to save as many people as possible @@ordinarylittlebastard3248
A lot of people seem to misconstrue the statement that Sonic can run at "the speed of sound" and assume that it means that's his top speed. The speed of sound is actually his normal cruising speed when running around. He's known to cause sonic booms when running, which can't be achieved unless you travel faster than sound. You mentioned it in the video, of course, but there's been many official statements that claim his top speed is the speed of light, or faster. Though of course, different official sources claim different things so it's confusing
Chaos control - Sonic In super smash brothers, has all chaos emeralds, meaning sonic can teleport, and or warp out of the dimension. Super sonic - Sonic the hedgehog, given the chaos emeralds, would be able to likely survive the blow, knowing that solaris' entire existence is likely far above it, if he isnt capable of beating them, he can EASILY teleport out of the dimension and or universe. Archie Sonic - I wont explain this
If I've learned anything... Sonic always had the capability, and even now with Sonic Prime, Sonic and Shadow could legitimately have completely avoided the pure universal cleansing thanks to Chaos Control (Which shows that if activated at the right time, users can avoid being affected by literal reality tearing apart into separate realities)
They always say that Sonic never runs at his full speed in fear that going at such velocity would destroy everything around him. Even though he is in some valley, it's safe to assume he's not running at full speed, not until he would be past everybody because at this point he would essentially sabotage everybody else's chances of escaping
Here’s the problem tho. Even if Sonic is able to outrun Galeem’s light, he wouldn’t be able to leave the planet, and Galeem’s attack spanned across the entire galaxy. Eventually, Sonic would have no where to run and Galeem’s rays would catch him. Now if he could turn into Super Sonic, then I believe that he’d be way faster than light and would be able to fly away alongside Kirby, but I don’t think Sonic had all of the chaos emeralds in that cutscene.
In a way, Kirby's Warp Star wouldnt've been possible. The only reason Kirby managed to escape was because Kirby with the Warp Star teleported, completely vanished, which if you didn't know, *is an ability that the Warp Star has never had*
let me remind you that the creator of smash made Kirby, not only that but Sakurai said he needed a character who has the ability to outrun Galeem, meaning that while he never said it in the game, he in the back of his head knew Kirby's warp star could do that...
Wile I feel that Sonic (if he wasn’t helping Pikachu) could out run galleom BUT he wouldn’t be able to escape him as he consumes the entire universe. And even if he turned super and flew off planet he probably wouldn’t be able to go anywhere that Galleom wouldn’t consume. So I’ve been ok with him slowing down to help pikachu since it preserves his heroic character along with implying that he could MABYE out run Galleom if he really tried witch is better than what Bayonetta and pallutaina got considering they “could of escaped” but didn’t bother trying.
If I’m not mistaken, Sonic is able to travel to the future by running fast enough in Sonic CD. So, he could’ve survived Galeem’s initial attack by jumping into the ruined future Samurai Jack style.
or he can use chaos control to stop time start attacking him then boom if sepiroth can win in 1 attack super sonic can just breathe on galeem to make him explode
I don't know about Bayonetta Lore that much, but I'm pretty sure Palutena could teleport away. But, if that's what he meant, then Mewtwo,Mega Man and Zelda could also have escaped.
I stand by the opinion that sonic could outrun Galeem’s attack BUT without the use of chaos emeralds he wouldn’t be able to escape the planet as the attack spreads beyond the planet and across the entire galaxy
@@accwontletmereplyanti-mobm7104 true but there were too many variables to say that sonic is able to do that by himself, such as the Buddy being present to increase the boost and the fact the gate to the Null Space was just opened and could have played a factor in how easy they were able to escape…
@@davidwilson4446 You would need proof the buddy has speed anywhere close to sonic as everytime they double boost, sonic is holding his hand. Plus he gave motion to things in sonic generations after speeding through the pevels so theres evidence sonic gives speed too. Plus in the cutscene when sonic gets taken by null space, we see the gate go away so we know for a fact it wasnt open. Not that it matters. Sonic still traveled to other dimensions in sonic rush to reach the special stages and in CD has travelled to different eras so he still wouldnt have gotten caught. And we know it wasnt the time posts because if it was then sonic wouldnt need to run and use his speed to time travel. He wouldve just passed the posts and immediately traveled.
That’s kinda funny if you think about it all his adventures he could’ve ended within seconds but I guess since he’s sonic he just wants some fun and plays along and their is just something so wholesome about it to me
I do feel like there was something holding Sonic back, his lack of flight (in base form). Sonic can run really fast but what if theres a large area Sonic would have to just fall to reach the ground. I personally don't think Sonic's air speed would be enough to escape Galeem's light since he would need a constant pace of light speed to get away. Another thing is space. Galeem invelopped not just the world but the galaxy and I don't think Sonic could get to space fast enough much less travers it fast enough to escape. I feel like for anyone to get away from Galeem, they would need insane amounts of speed but also flight which is why Kirby and the Warp Star made it out in the end. I think *Super* Sonic could have made it out in time but I feel like *Base* Sonic's a lost cause, slowing down to save Pikachu or not.
@@godspeedforce9371 He would need to get to space since Galeem envelopped the galaxy. Last time I checked, Sonic can't just run up to space which is why he always used alternative motives like the rocket in Metal Harbor or Tails's rocket in Sonic 4.
@@godspeedforce9371 If he can run at a higher point of infinity, then why does he need a shuttle to get Eggman's amusment park in Colours a game after Secret Rings. Also doesn't Secret Rings take place in like a book or something. Maybe the physics work differently. As it stands. I still think Sonic needs at least a Super Form to escape the galaxy since he's always needed something to get to space since he can't do it by himself.
In my personal headcanon, because I'm a sonic fan from way back in the day, he tried to save Pikachu, but when it failed, he probably guessed a beam was coming up on him so he dodged to the side to use Chaos Control (cause he Is capable, he has at least one Chaos Emerald on him given his final smash in ultimate, and knows how to use it from SA2) plus the Chaos Emeralds are an other worldly force that in my mind can probably even surpass the powers of Kirby's warp star. Plus, another bit of evidence is Shadow from Sonic Prime, who used Chaos Control to escape the Paradox Prism shattering and didn't suffer any side effects. So a part of me thinks that Sakurai just picked Kirby to be the only one to survive because of personal bias.
My opinion is that if sonic does not have super sonic, he cannot escape galeem, because galeem wiped out the universe, so even if sonic doges the beams, he wants be able to escape earth with out using super sonic
He wouldn't even need to run. He obviously has the chaos emeralds on him, because his final smash wouldn't be possible without them, so he could go super sonic and escape that way, or he could use chaos control and slow down time if he needed to. We see that he can use chaos control in SA2 with a fake emerald, so he should be able to do it with a normal one.
Sonic could outrun it in gens HES technically going like millions of times faster than light or something he can use the light speed dash he could go super or maybe even hyper and just a bunch of Other things
There’s also CD , there’s sonic 06 where he can go Upto at the very least Mach 1 , Mach 4 in mania , in lost world he can outrun those black hole things in the final boss
I think we're overestimating his speed too much when you say "millions times faster". Even though he should've be able to outrun that light, there were no emeralds for him to transform.
@@jayjalloh3631 also I forgot to mention this but sonic makes tornadoes in space that act like normal ones so sonic could probably send himself upwards with it
He definitely could have escaped Gallem. One possible scenario would be for him to outrun it enough so he can turn Super and Chaos Control out existence, similar to the warp star
If he had the emeralds maybe he got a chance, but if he doesn't then no matter how fast he is, he isn't leaving the planet and the beams would eventually catch him
The more I think about the opening. The more characters I see surviving. Those who can outrun or dodge at the speed of light are VERY common in the roster, plus several characters like Sora, Samus, and Rosalina's/Mario's Launch Stars also have "vehicles that could defy the laws of physics"
No not really. Sonic is incredibly fast, just how you described; however, there's one thing I kept in the back of my mind while watching this video... Sonic Can't Fly. The reason Palu and Bayo could do it because they can fly at incredibly fast speed (I think. I haven't played their games). So unless Sonic has the Chaos Emeralds or there just a road that leads out of the universe, I don't think Sonic can make it.
Sonic can fly, he flew through space in Runners adventure and special stages in lost world. He flew to Dark Gaia in the wii version of unleashed. He flies using boost.

Yes absolutely. Hello, this is also BEFORE super sonic, which smash sonic DOES have access to as seen in his final smash. So yeah super sonic + chaos control to warp him would definitely succeed in my book
I dunno if anyone else has mentioned this already but the reason it was Kirby is because of WHO Kirby is, not only in lore but in real life... Kirby was a game Sakurai made to help introduce new players to video games in an easy and understandable way. Kirby games are almost always platformers, but they give you infinite jumps in the form of a float, allowing the player to get a perfect grasp of the gameplay with plenty of safety in case they fall, and the ability to evade harm if it gets too difficult to defeat a tough enemy. Kirby carries this design philosophy to Smash Bros, in the way of being a very simple and basic character that's easy to learn how to use while teaching the basics of how to play. His moves are very one directional (if you attack up he attacks up, if you attack down he attacks down, etc.), he has lots of jumps to help recovery, and his neutral special lets him inhale enemies... essentially giving you a demo of each character's abilities to test out. He's the perfect choice for new players, with the second being Mario. Of course, to add onto that he also happens to be the MOST POWERFUL character in video game lore, having pretty much infinite power. Conquering giant demonic entities of world-shattering power is kind of his thing... so yeah (not to say any other character is incapable of taking on Galeem, heck you literally can take on Galeem with any fighter in-game). And lastly, the Warp Star was only able to save Kirby by transporting him to another dimension or something like that (it teleported him). Galeems light is shown to engulf the ENTIRE universe, so unless Sonic turned super with the chaos emeralds I don't think he could outrun it... Archie Sonic maybe, but not this version of Sonic (then again, we don't know the full extent of Sonic's speed so maybe regular Sonic is just as capable as Archie Sonic but doesn't show it often). (Anyways just thought I'd share my perspective, not trying to throw shame or start arguments... heck, not even disagreeing with the video just pointing out some details to help shed some light on the discussion).
I think you forget that even if he did outrun the light beams (which I believe he could have) if he did not help pikachu, he still would have died as after we see that starting scene with everyone dying the entire world and universe gets destroyed by the light, so to survive he would have to go to a different dimension (he has done this before) but we know that these characters in smash are not the cannon characters, they are just toys being played with by the player.
In brawl, sonic outspeeded tabuu’s ability to stop ANY movement. In a episode of Sonic Boom, Eggman stopped time but *Sonic* was converted in normal speed during the time stop.
I want to talk about something you said wrong a black hole is the only thing that is faster than light and if sonic is running faster than a black hole he is faster than light
sonic could have certainly survived had he not helped pikachu, especially since he could have hopped on the star alongside kirby and teleported away with him instead of say chaos control or super form to get away either of which would have made it basically impossible for sonic to get hit at all add to that sonic is confirmed the fastest character in the smash roster not only by feats from his own games but by his introduction in brawl where he was the only one fast enough to destroy Tabuu's wings in time to save everyone stacking the odds even more in his favor
Well his actually usual state speed is 6,711 mph because he can only use his boost to make him go faster than the speed of light compare of his sprinting. The rings are the items that case helps Sonic to get rings they called it the "Energy Rings." If he transforms into Super Sonic his speed will be even 2 times faster than the speed of light. His speed is go the 102% increases the power of his boost is 9,784 mph when travel over a continent. But only problem that if he has would've outrun from it. There's a down side for Sonic, Black Hole are the massive type of energy that sucks life out of it. It even pulled anything in its path even Sonic tries to outrun from it but it seems no energy rings to help him but he isn't fast enough to escape from it while running at his normal state. I'm sorry for say this that Galeem's Light Beam is faster than the speed of light against Sonic. Speed of Sound is the absolute ability for Sonic to get boost to run faster than anything. When wisps or rings consumed his power energy to give him speed boost. Even allies gives the power to help him to keep going. The Chaos Emeralds are the bright wield the power of speed of light since be has the ability to transform and able to fly but not forever. Galeem use the attack called Light Beams to capture everything in his path. Not even Sonic trying to running away from it whilst trying to save Pikachu cause they both running at the different speed but the light beams are faster than them.
While I do think that sonic would have the raw speed necessary to outrun galeem, he still wouldn't be able to escape. Because unless he goes super sonic, how is he supposed to get off the planet? Run so fast that he jumps off the planet and just zooms to another galaxy with that momentum and hopes he lands on a planet? There's no way that would work. And even if he could do that, can he breathe in space? It's possible that he can considering how far above the planet he is in the beginning of sonic unleashed and for all of sonic colors but it's also possible that he's just at the very edge of the atmosphere and still has air to breathe. I don't know. Now, if sonic could go super, he could definitely escape galeem. Because he'd be way faster, can definitely breathe in space (as shown in one of the sonic advanced games) can fly so he could actually leave the planet, and chaos control to stop or slow time to help escape even easier
If the thing in Colors was an actual black hole, then him running from it for as long as he did was not only beyond light speed but also makes him possibly stronger than the pull of a black hole. We also have to consider that it's buffed with hyper go on energy, giving it a stronger pull and making it faster than any black hole.
@@absolutemadlad5662 yeah, but hyper isn't really cannon in sonic 3nk, or even any other sonic game. My Headcannon is that the super emeralds werent found in the first place.
Super Sonic, or possibly even base Sonic with some assumptions, could probably beat Galeem and/or Dharkon all by himself. Everything went over in the video suggests he's moving a good bit faster than light. Various black hole-like objects, as well as fighting bosses who threaten space and time itself means he has to do about the same kind of stuff as them. Even if we assume he just barely did their feats to a lesser degree, the fact he did them at all is evidence. Cloud probably could put up a great fight as well, as well as maybe Mewtwo to a lesser degree. Cloud Strife is capable of fighting Bahamut, who can casually move between planets and stars in a few moments. Mewtwo itself is one of the strongest Pokemon created, capable of teleportation and similar light speed movement. Even when compared to Legendary Pokemon, Mewtwo still seems to be a pretty grand threat in comparison. Sure, he isn't Arceus, Palkia or Dialga, but he's still able to dodge laser-like attacks and at least has enough psychokinetic power to rend at least half of the Smash cast useless. Rosalina herself literally recreated the Mario universe, so I'm unsure what their thought process was when looking into these characters. "Usual physical characteristics" isn't really an excuse when you literally have both King Dedede and Meta Knight, who can fly pretty much just like Kirby. Meta Knight went between planets himself, so even if Galeem was a galaxy-sized threat, Meta Knight himself would probably put up a pretty good fight. Put short, while not all of the cast would put up an actual fight at all, there are much more than what they estimated that could do it. Kirby, Ness, Mewtwo, Meta Knight, Lucas, Sonic, Cloud, Sephiroth, and Sora would all put up the best fights. Palutena, Bayonetta and such would likely be more of a debate, since they're more difficult to pin down. Kirby has obvious reasons. Cracks planets in half in base form, can survive stars exploding in his face without even a scratch, can zoom across the galaxy, and so on. Ness has literally become the universe, and through scaling, Lucas can do some similar jank. I mean, if they both can do PK Starstorm with a bit of help, and Ness is able to do what he can do, then why not? Mewtwo can literally Mega Evolve itself to improve its already insane power, which is capable of mind controlling loads of different Pokemon. Pokemon like Machamp can casually move mountains as well, and Mewtwo can put up psychokinetic abilities capable of rendering a bunch of them useless. Meta Knight is literally just another Kirby. Sonic has, again, fought beings that threaten space and time, and Super Sonic is literally invulnerable to (most) damage and definitely is faster than light. Cloud has fought both Bahamut and Sephiroth, who have galactic feats like zooming around space or exploding the sun. Sephiroth exploded the sun. Sora and his friends are capable of literally rearranging constellations. No further comment.
You got to remember, the sonic in smash is a statue ether ways from what I heard this sonic would lose that. BUT if its the other sonic, which im talking about the og canon game series, then yes he would of escaped that pretty easily. If sonic teams stops trying to be nintendo and get into sonic's fictional reality story, then we get a butt-load of info!
If Sonic had the Time Stones, he could have just Skipped Galeems attack (Like Kirby with his Warp Star) Same goes with (atleast 1) Chaos Emerald via Chaos Control
Short answer, yes. It’s already been proved multiple times that sonic can travel faster than the speed of light by a lot. Though, his corruption in the game was inevitable regardless because by the time this story mode was made, sonic was mostly irrelevant besides the fact that he was a playable character and not an assist trophy. Even though it’s a fact that sonic could’ve escaped and became player 2 in the world of light, he wasn’t escaping regardless, because this wasn’t about him. This was about Sakurai’s creation, Kirby
Assuming that any survivors would need to be able to a) achieve dimensional travel, and b) survive long enough to initiate said travel...yes, Sonic can pull that off easily. Super Sonic can casually fly from Earth to a nearby star cluster within seconds (Advance 3), and the Emeralds warp through dimensions (e.g. Special Stages) every other game. Although I kinda think counting Null Space is cheating: since the Avatar had their Phantom Ruby Prototype on them, it might have unintentionally activated and opened a portal. Pit/Dark Pit/Rosalina could do it as well if they had the Lightning Chariot/Comet Observatory, which have similar feats. Hell, I'd make an argument that Mario could've gotten out depending on what he's carrying in his pockets, the Zee Egg or even just a Power Star would be sufficient to escape.
The part about null space is literally just headcannon. Sonic has shown to escape universes and travel to other dimensions by sheer speed. He crossed an astral plane that was infinite in size, the default size of those things are hundreds of times larger than our universe as in Wikipedia.
@@CloutmasterPhluphyy I didn't say that his speed alone would be enough. I said he could outrun it for long enough to escape to a Special Stage or something.
@@CloutmasterPhluphyy And he literally flew through stars multiple times. Also it covered the universe but Sonic has warped through time and into other universes so it’s nothing. And he covered an infinite distance in finite time with ease.
Can we all just take a moment from defending sonic to appreciate him being a team player even though it was a lost cause, this is probably the purest sonic we’ll get, and Nintendo did this, saying alot about sega, and how they treat their only gaming icon alive.
I haven't watched the video yet, but I think Sonic could've used a Chaos Emerald to warp space/time, resulting in basically the same thing Kirby did. Considering Sonic's victory animation is him collecting an Emerald, and Super Sonic is his Final Smash, it's not unreasonable to assume he'd have at least 1 on hand Edit: After watching, I think escaping Galeem would be much easier with dimensional/warping abilities, like Sakurai said. Galeem engulfed the entire world in Light, so I don't know if Sonic could escape with his speed alone. Unless Sonic can run fast enough to time travel, or go to another dimension
@@obsessionsofthevoid yeah but it's hard to tell if that was his speed alone, or he used the signs. The cons are, If Sonic can run that fast, Tails and Knuckles can too, in Mania. Not to mention stories like '06 make a big deal about needing the emeralds to time travel
@@McKnighty tbf if we're going with him having all 7 since he can go Super in Smash Silver showed that you only need one chaos user to time travel at the end of his story in 06 (locking Blaze into another timeline/dimension, getting back to his time after Sonic used the original portal) Or Eggman using a machine to force time travel with only one So Sonic likely could manage it since he has all 7 emeralds and is one of the most powerful users of Chaos Energy (Shadow being the most powerful still-) TLDR: Sonic had the means and ability too, just didn't bc he's selfless and wanted to save people
I'm willing to bet his survival would be wildly different if we gave Sonic his full speed/Boost but not his ability to time travel (Sonic CD) or accumulate enough speed to create a portal that sends him elsewhere (My source is Sonic Rush's method of entering special stages, though various other sources have had him showcase this ability). He's canonically already fast enough to save Pikachu since his speed is potentially immeasurable at this point (Restoring the areas that Time Eater effects through his speed alone in Sonic Generations), so he's already making a break for it. If he can't hit warp speed for whatever reason, Kirby would definitely serve as his jackpot. With how jagged the terrain is, there's potential for a ramp that Sonic can fly off of and reach Kirby. Really, it's up to whether he can homing attack the Warp Star and latch on or at the very least throw Pikachu on that anything changes.
A few things If galeem spread his wrath everywhere where would sonic go to? Despite his speed he can't really go to space for some reason and relies on machines or his super form to get there Even so. Galeems beans go much faster than the speed of light. Like about a trillion times faster considering it is able to spread for hundreds of thousands of light years in just a few seconds. Then again space and physics wise Nintendo is the worst as they consider neighbor sized floating platforms as a whole galaxy so it doesn't help with their inconsistencies and clearly why they rather avoid adding lore to Mario
if it can go trillions times the speed of light, look on some videos and you see calcs where he can go that speed.. so i guess it would take a bit but he could do it.. right?
@@MikeyGamer-vy2ir regardless of sonics speed he apparently isn't able to go to space without platforms, chaos emeralds, or a rocket. Otherwise the death egg is no issue for him and other stuff
I think it would have been cool if instead of Sonic being corrupted by gleam you encounter Sonic and he thinks you have been corrupted by gleam and that's when you fight
My head canon is that Sonic goes at the speed of most race cars when he’s at an average run, at the speed of sound when he spin dashes, quick steps, boosts, or does a peel out, while moves at light speed with the light speed dash or in his super form. To answer the question of whether Sonic would’ve survived the attack, my answer would be no, since there were no rings to perform a light speed dash, that Sonic’s speed generally has some physics applied, and because he’s a 3rd party Smash character. Edit: My feelings of the statement above has not aged well due to some information that I have received and established some time after this video. My original comment or head canon was based more on the visualization of the day stages. More specifically, how Sonic looks when he light dashes compared to when he boosts. The light dash is rather quick to where a player could miss this due to blinking. This is a clear evidence to me that Sonic is truly moving at light speed when homing on the trail of rings. My initial interpretation of the boost is that since there is a Sonic boom, it’s clear that he is moving past the sound barrier. However, since Sonic can still be visualized clearly, I thought that he was moving below light speed. However, I realized that since the camera is locked on Sonic no matter how fast he moves, it would make sense for his model to clearly be visualized, while the world around Sonic becomes blurry as it dies in Unleashed, hinting that Sonic is challenging the ability for light to reach the player’s eyes. I would also like to thank @electromagnetic psychopath for pointing out the sod system in Unleashed, which was a great help for the determining the speed of each Sonic ability. My new explanation is that Sonic can achieve light speed or near light speed while utilizing ring based abilities (abilities that require the presence of rings or ring energy). To answer the question of whether Sonic would survive beam of light is still a no for me tho, since his powers are not completely devoid of physics. I am keeping the original post for comparison and for the consistency of the comment thread.
you know rings are only a game mechanic and alot of the games have him go super with zero rings left right? he doesn't need rings to go lightspeed either. heck if sonic needs rings how did he stay super sonic for an entire week in sonic advance's ending, or go super without rings in sonic advance 3. heck he doesn't even use rings for his speed or super sonic in sonic x either, only uses them to power up his sonic spin attack.
@@electromagneticpsychopath4973 I’d argue that Sonic didn’t necessarily escape that black hole, but got caught in a state of limbo only for the wisps to bring him back to the planet. I also don’t see the game manuals as a reliable source as well, for example Amy being referred to as Princess Sally or how a manual for Sonic 1 states that Eggman wanted the chaos emeralds in order to fry a giant egg.
Your information is absolutely correct on Sonics speed. All that you have stated to track Sonics speed, all of it is canon. The only crucial part of Sonic not able to escape Galeem was that Galeem was absorbing the whole universe or wherever the Smash Roster was at. Galeem took everything, Sonic could’ve escaped Galeem for a short time before Galeem absorbed the whole universe. If Sonic was Super Sonic, he could’ve fully escaped but he wasn’t. Kirby could’ve because The Warp Star that he rides can travel between dimensions.
I have few points against your arguments: First: We do know. It is NOT a black hole. Black holes do not expland. They perpetually collapse into themselves and they don't have a whitish purple event horizon either. Second: That's more a general gripe with your evidence showing "I don't know", "It's implied", "I assume" etc. don't exactly install confidence. Third: Sonic can go beyond the speed of light. But for how long at a time? He probably isn't very proficient at doing it for long, because he doesn't exactly have the best places to practice it. If Sonic is like a Gepard or a Kestrel as far as going beyond the speed of light goes and lacks the endurance to keep it up long enough he would just keep Galeem at bay for some time, yet still not escape in the literal long run. And my fourth point: You're underestimating Galeem. A lot. Because Galeem consumed the Universe, not "just" the Galaxy, the Universe. And going by the Speed of Light doesn't suffice to do it. In fact it's way to slow for it. Example: The Light of the Sun takes _six hours_ to reach Pluto. Doesn't exactly seem like a Speed at which you would be able to "consume the universe", does it? So Galeem is likely way faster. Maybe he needs a bit of warm-up time to reach several times the speed of light, but he needs it to do what we know he does. And Sonic's Speed even at the Speed of Light won't let him outrun several times the speed of Light, or "was that implied" somewhere?
The way I see it, I’d say he could escape Galeem if Sonic was targeted alone. But with the entire smash ultimate roster (excluding dlc) being present, Sonic would most like try to save SOMEONE, even if not Pikachu specifically. Of course, since nobody in the roster is as fast as he is, he’d need to slow down for them to catch up… and we saw what happened when he does that.
Firstly: Archie Sonic in base can solo beat the snot out of Galeem, just gotta get that out of the way. But secondly: If Silver the Hedgehogs telekinesis is the speed of his mind combined with the fact that Silver is around the same speed as Sonic in some cases, this means that due to Sonic being able to keep up with Silvers telekines, Sonic's base speed could possibly be twice as fast as what we've already seen from him due to the equal footing Sonic and Silver sometimes have. Also: Since I already talked about both Archie and Game Sonic, I might as well talk about Fleetaway Sonic. Fleetaway Sonic is a special case because Fleetaway Sonic himself isn't as fast as the other sonic's... but instead he can go "super" at will, the catch is that this super sonic is not the same person as base form sonic. Instead this alternate personality of Sonic is sadistic and just overall evil, but that doesn't matter because the question is whether Fleetaway Sonic can escape Galeem without outside help (which includes the chaos emeralds). Fleetaway Super Sonic can straight up body nearly anyone in the Fleetaway Sonic comics, on top of this he has at least some level of invulnerability (which means the first feat was completely useless to state. It's due to the invulnerability that even Fleetaway Sonic (in the alternate Super Sonic form) can escape Galeem, Albeit Game Sonic is dependent on theories to escape. F in chat for Boom Sonic.
To that, i answer that considering the fact that galeem engulf the universe in mere seconds (faster than light), i don't think that even sonic cpuld have outrun it (how would he also go to space). Also, since galeem's might takes all available space, it means that only gods (palutena/bayonneta) or those who can escape the dimension (kirby) could have survived, a feat that isn't seen from sonic in any canon material...
Sakurai touched on Palutena and Bayonetta and they were also considered to be potential survivors. He said that it would not have made sense for Bayonetta to escape as Galeem casually told the concept of space-time to sod off as it broke into another universe/timeline, annihilating Purgatorio (the Smash version) and all of her enemies there. As for Palutena, Hades and other gods were effortlessly wiped out by the light, so Sakurai said there was no way Palutena could have survived either. (Galeem has something akin to immeasurable combat speed basically.) Of course, Kirby pushed the Warp Star to the absolute limit (he would have lost mind, body and soul to the light/order god otherwise) and possibly accidentally warped to a universe in the Smash multiverse that Galeem didn't (or hadn't yet) obliterated.
Doesn't sonic run to reach a entire dimesnion to get a chaos emerald in sonic rush? Or is that just me? Even then sonic ran universes to get home in the secret rings.
He could definitely outrun Galeen, and that’s only counting the examples of the games that you said. That isn’t even counting the movie, comics, tv shows, etc. Cause, in some of those, he might just actually be faster than his videogame version. Not all of them are faster of course, but if the videogame version is that fast, and there’s other stronger versions of him, he could DEFINITELY outrun Galeen. Great video btw! ❤️
Sorry for the long post. This is how I see it. Since Galeem overcame the entire universe, unless Sonic could run so fast he essentially teleports via a non Chaos Emerald induced Chaos Control; despite having the emeralds in possession in SSBU, it wouldn't be enough as Galeem would eventually overtake all the land that Sonic could run on. Now since Sonic can run in cases faster than light speed and has enhanced awareness even after Pikachu got fried Sonic could've still dodged the attack. Now if we do include that he could use the Chaos Emeralds in his possession and they work, as far as the teleporting goes, kinda like Instant Transmission where who he focuses on by either Energy or Thought alone would allow him to teleport to Kirby in this case. Now since while it's a fighting game is labeled as a party game, it's safe to say that Sonic knows Kirby's abilities including the fact he can teleport via the Warp Star as that's likely something he'd run into fighting Kirby. Now Sonic is actually quite good with his head and knows how to strategize even in stressful situations. Sonic could've deduced that maybe, just maybe, that Kirby would warp away. Giving Sonic enough time to dodge Galeem with enough land to, possibly, even see Kirby teleport thus allowing Sonic to follow suit. Now this is definitely stretching it, and of it was Sonic as a whole including Archie Sonic then he'd definitely survive. But this is just how I see this moment. It doesn't irritate me that the outcome was the way it was, but I do believe Sonic could have survived given the right circumstances.
Given the facts stated here in this video, I'd say not only he could've survived, he should've been able to rescue Pikachu as well!...wait, how fast is Pikachu?
the solution to surviving galeem was to "escape," not outrun. even if sonic were going at full speed, he would eventually be cornered or worn out, even if he had the chaos emeralds and went super sonic, he would run out of energy/rings. according to the statement from sakurai 1:52, it is implied that kirby was able to "defy the laws of physics" by using the warp star to not outrun, but rather escape from the universe temporarily. my theory is that kirby accidently made a little pocket dimension outside of time and space before falling back to where he was, thus being the only survivor.
Actually, in Sonic Unleashed you can calculate how fast is sonic with the checkpoints Every single time you go through a checkpoint it shows how many SPD you have at that moment, while SPD isn't a real metric value, we can use it as reference for this calculation. See, you can go through a checkpoint using the Light Speed Shoes, which, as the name points out, makes Sonic go at the speed of light. I honestly don't remember the exact number, but if we take that number and divide it against the number we get when we go through a checkpoint while going with a full powered boost, we can state that (in Unleashed) Sonic at full speed goes 9 (almost 10) times faster than the Speed of Light. And that is in Unleashed, by now he must be faster if we take for granted Infinite's statement that Sonic grows faster and stronger every second.
you're telling me a guy who was so fast he brought every single version of himself from the multiverse in mere seconds IN HIS NORMAL FORM can't escape that? but somehow a pink ball could
One small problem. Sure, Sonic can outrun Galeem... But where is he gonna go? Kirby had to warp away from the scene in order to get away. Normal Sonic can't do that.
One small thing here, sonic isn't fixing time and space with his speed, eggman used the time eater to undo his defeats in those time periods, so sonic is effectively just hitting the redo button by going back through the places of his past And yes colors DS is cannon as both version's negative wisps are in the cutscene where they turn back to normal (ds had the void wisp and wii had frenzy)
If Sonic had the chaos emeralds maybe he could have use chaos control. Chaos Emeralds are powerful enough to warp time and space. He could have teleported out of there. Or Sonic could have just used time stop. Time stop works similarly to Shadow's chaos control. It was in Sonic Adventure 2 and Sonic Adventure 2 Battle. He could have freeze time to run away from the light and probably even save Pikachu and some others. Also Sonic could use speed break and time break. But I know about upgrade and about Sonic and the Secret Rings and Sonic Generations but, still if he had either Shahra's ring or has the ability he could have either use time break to slow down time and have him react more faster or used speed break to increase his speed and outrun the light. And also while using speed break he's invulnerable and take out enemies and obstacles. So I believe that Sonic can outrun the beams of light.
I think Sonic could most likely survive the galeem attack considering even his younger self classic Sonic was able to run at light speed to time travel. Also considering that in the null space there's isn't a exit out confirming when eggman said this goodbye and is shocked and furious he escaped. This would mean that Sonic ran so fast that he escaped the Null space. Also in my opinion this wouldn't be the first time sonic speed was used to travel to different worlds. In Sonic and the secret of rings Shara said that Sonic found his way back home meaning he ran back to his world, you also have to consider is that Sonic in Sonic forces grew stronger which would mean his speed most likely increased as stated by Sonic: Unlike mechs i can grow! I keep getting stronger. And this is proven when he's able to do incredible things, so i believe that Sonic could have survived and he does have chaos control he teleport somewhere else. In my opinion
lets not forget that sonic can also use the power of chaos emeralds to give further boost and even teleport and we can see that even in smash bros he carries one around, not just his final smash of super sonic but one of his victory screens literally has him holding one so if him alone couldnt outrun galeem then with the help of the chaos emerald he most likely couldve gotten away
yes, as super sonic he can. he can fly as fast as he boosts and the boosts aren't his top speed so he can most likely outrun it, though super sonic doesn't need to outrun it, can just stop time, time travel, or teleport.
@@Finishedchannel454 Pokemon Trainer and Falcon both used theyr Final Smashes So i think Sonic could had have the Chaos Emeralds And even if he couldnt had outboost the Light as Super Sonic, he could use the Time Travel from CD and just Skip the destruction of the Universe (just like Kirby did)
I wouldn't count those as they aren't using them as a final smash. Falco isn't sending the rest of Star Fox to attack Galeem and Falcon didn't have his vehicle automatically ram into the light and then drive it into the light after getting in.
Sonic has a chaos emerald in his victory animation impling he has it on him wouldn't he have been able to use chaos control either in slowing or out right stopping the flow of time to outrun galeem like shadow can or to teleport to kirby's warp star just as he left? And what about in Sonic 06 with two emeralds he could have gone to the past to warm everyone or to the future when kirby crashed his warp star?
If it were a black hole, that would actually HELP Sonic's case. Not even light can escape black holes. Not because black holes are necessarily faster, but because their pull is just that strong.
He literally outran one before, tho
I bet if sonic did not slow down he could have escaped in a big ring and go into the special stage and escape galeem
Palutena, Bayonetta, Metaknight, Samus, Link, Zelda and Ganondorf would have survived as well, if they knew about it too.

Infinite has been stated to be "the strongest foe that sonic has!" scaling to 06 super sonic and solaris. Meaning that the speed of infinite is superior. And in the end sonic, classic sonic and the avatar negs infinite and egg dragon (base sonic could handled them"

Also thanks to Sonic letting us know that lightspeed is lightwork to him lmao. But yeah, his "usual form" is just his base form in simple terms.

I did not think this would get so much attention
"the time it takes for Sonic to transform into Super Sonic would become a problem, because Sonic needs to be able to focus and his transformation is typically depicted as stationary"
Sonic 2 and Sonic 3 have almost near instantaneous transformations bruh, and yeah Lost World also helps in that case.
If he couldnt outrun it with his full speed, he has to use the same ring that makes him faster
i feel like that, also if he can move light speed... couldn't he just boost out of reality..? he can boost through space n'stuff
Sonic only needs a singular chaos emerald to use Chaos Control, btw.
This makes me sad. He puts lots of work into other character's movesets and then doesn't give sonic the same attention
@@hotshot3087 it sucks to a sonic fan sometimes. Nobody not even Sega gives sonic love.

I honestly think it's really charming that sonic reached his hand out to help Pikachu I think it's a neat detail

Galeem wouldnt be able to kill super sonic
Facts.
let me remind you that the creator of smash made Kirby, not only that but Sakurai said he needed a character who has the ability to outrun Galeem, meaning that while he never said it in the game, he in the back of his head knew Kirby's warp star could do that...

If I’m not mistaken, Sonic is able to travel to the future by running fast enough in Sonic CD. So, he could’ve survived Galeem’s initial attack by jumping into the ruined future Samurai Jack style.

Not that it matters. Sonic still traveled to other dimensions in sonic rush to reach the special stages and in CD has travelled to different eras so he still wouldnt have gotten caught.
I'm gonna say this tho, but I respect your opinion, he could use chaos control, he could use a real emerald or a fake emerald to do it
He wouldn't even need to run.

Not only that but earlier in the game sonic literally said that the speed of light is slow to him
Sonic could totally outrun Galeem he just didn’t cause it’s in his nature to help those in need like Pikachu
sonic could have certainly survived had he not helped pikachu, especially since he could have hopped on the star alongside kirby and teleported away with him instead of say chaos control or super form to get away either of which would have made it basically impossible for sonic to get hit at all
add to that sonic is confirmed the fastest character in the smash roster not only by feats from his own games but by his introduction in brawl where he was the only one fast enough to destroy Tabuu's wings in time to save everyone stacking the odds even more in his favor
Well his actually usual state speed is 6,711 mph because he can only use his boost to make him go faster than the speed of light compare of his sprinting. The rings are the items that case helps Sonic to get rings they called it the "Energy Rings."
If he transforms into Super Sonic his speed will be even 2 times faster than the speed of light.
Another argument I have is that galeem seems not not actually be traveling the speed of light and seems to be moving a bit slower
Yes, but only via Chaos Control. Still, having him get hit because he wanted to save Pikachu is more in character and I think that works really well.
Chaos Emeralds would have made him survive.
Or better yet the super emeralds
@@absolutemadlad5662 yeah, but hyper isn't really cannon in sonic 3nk, or even any other sonic game.
My Headcannon is that the super emeralds werent found in the first place.
two ways sonic couldve escaped
1: sped off and got onto the warp star with kirby
2: go super and fly away faster then galeem then come back after
Super Sonic, or possibly even base Sonic with some assumptions, could probably beat Galeem and/or Dharkon all by himself.
If Sonic had the Time Stones, he could have just Skipped Galeems attack (Like Kirby with his Warp Star)
Same goes with (atleast 1) Chaos Emerald via Chaos Control
You know he could use the emeralds
You know. That statement of Izuka saying that Sonic's speed is rivaled to that of The Flash slipped my mind.
Sonic could've escaped but unless he can teleport through space he would need a flying form like super sonic or Excalibur sonic.
@@arkhamknight620 Fair enough.
Well the WOL kinda destroyed a whole galaxy. Sonic would need to go a bit farther than a star cluster to survive WOL
If Shadow was in the game he would probably survived because he would use chao control or Stop time and save everyone
Can we all just take a moment from defending sonic to appreciate him being a team player even though it was a lost cause, this is probably the purest sonic we’ll get, and Nintendo did this, saying alot about sega, and how they treat their only gaming icon alive.
He would use super Sonic to Escape The Beam and Save Pikachu & Everyone Else.
He Outran The Black Hole For 30 Seconds
I haven't watched the video yet, but I think Sonic could've used a Chaos Emerald to warp space/time, resulting in basically the same thing Kirby did. Considering Sonic's victory animation is him collecting an Emerald, and Super Sonic is his Final Smash, it's not unreasonable to assume he'd have at least 1 on hand
Edit: After watching, I think escaping Galeem would be much easier with dimensional/warping abilities, like Sakurai said. Galeem engulfed the entire world in Light, so I don't know if Sonic could escape with his speed alone. Unless Sonic can run fast enough to time travel, or go to another dimension
He'd have to escape the entire universe. Which he can't do.
THANK YOU FOR FINALLY SAYING THIS
Time Travel: Done in CD.
@@McKnighty tbf if we're going with him having all 7 since he can go Super in Smash
Silver showed that you only need one chaos user to time travel at the end of his story in 06 (locking Blaze into another timeline/dimension, getting back to his time after Sonic used the original portal)
Or Eggman using a machine to force time travel with only one
So Sonic likely could manage it since he has all 7 emeralds and is one of the most powerful users of Chaos Energy (Shadow being the most powerful still-)
TLDR: Sonic had the means and ability too, just didn't bc he's selfless and wanted to save people
I'm willing to bet his survival would be wildly different if we gave Sonic his full speed/Boost but not his ability to time travel (Sonic CD) or accumulate enough speed to create a portal that sends him elsewhere (My source is Sonic Rush's method of entering special stages, though various other sources have had him showcase this ability). Really, it's up to whether he can homing attack the Warp Star and latch on or at the very least throw Pikachu on that anything changes.
also hi i'm two years late!!!!
this is a good thought! well said
A few things
If galeem spread his wrath everywhere where would sonic go to? Despite his speed he can't really go to space for some reason and relies on machines or his super form to get there
Even so.
@@soaringstars314 eh ok... i guess... even though it is possible to boost through space with glitches but that's not intended so i guess you're right
@@MikeyGamer-vy2ir yeah. It's just one of those video games inconsistencies. Like how sonic is pretty much built for space but dies underwater

@@infern209x Sonic X is it’s own continuity, plus I can’t name one time Sonic went light speed dash without a trail of rings.
@@hydrocityshark the light speed attack
@@hydrocityshark unleashed, the time he actually out ran the black hole in colors or when he's been said to go beyond light speed
Ok
Sonic has warped to other dimensions in sonic rush
Its just that the creator doesnt know anything of sonic and his speed
I have few points against your arguments:
First: We do know.
And my fourth point:
You're underestimating Galeem.
5:10
Oof. Black holes are black because not even light can escape them. Black holes are faster than light.
(Galeem has something akin to immeasurable combat speed basically.)
Of course, Kirby pushed the Warp Star to the absolute limit (he would have lost mind, body and soul to the light/order god otherwise) and possibly accidentally warped to a universe in the Smash multiverse that Galeem didn't (or hadn't yet) obliterated.
Honestly I didn't know that sonic was that fast
He actually out ran a black hole twice
Base stats are 120-220 without the Stat boosters moves and items
But he probably would have tried to save some of the other fighters as well, dooming him either way.
Pikachu Is probably a similar to speed to a thunderbolt
the solution to surviving galeem was to "escape," not outrun.
even if sonic were going at full speed, he would eventually be cornered or worn out,
even if he had the chaos emeralds and went super sonic, he would run out of energy/rings.
according to the statement from sakurai 1:52, it is implied that kirby was able to "defy the laws of physics" by using the warp star to not outrun, but rather escape from the universe temporarily.
my theory is that kirby accidently made a little pocket dimension outside of time and space before falling back to where he was, thus being the only survivor.
If he used super sonic was there he could outspeed the light and save slmost everyone
Actually, in Sonic Unleashed you can calculate how fast is sonic with the checkpoints
Every single time you go through a checkpoint it shows how many SPD you have at that moment, while SPD isn't a real metric value, we can use it as reference for this calculation.
5:13 Light actually can’t escape a black hole
you're telling me a guy who was so fast he brought every single version of himself from the multiverse in mere seconds IN HIS NORMAL FORM can't escape that? but somehow a pink ball could
One small problem. Sure, Sonic can outrun Galeem... But where is he gonna go? Kirby had to warp away from the scene in order to get away. Normal Sonic can't do that.
He can warp using chaos control using a chaos emerald or all 7
One small thing here, sonic isn't fixing time and space with his speed, eggman used the time eater to undo his defeats in those time periods, so sonic is effectively just hitting the redo button by going back through the places of his past
And yes colors DS is cannon as both version's negative wisps are in the cutscene where they turn back to normal (ds had the void wisp and wii had frenzy)
Come on sonicsta epic Mickey is on the table as the main course 😁😁😁 and also can we do a collaboration
Sonic physically can’t be early in the game
as someone who doesnt like pokemon but loves sonic I am extremely disappointed but my respect for sonic has gone up to say the least.
That was little planet effecting his speed though...
lets not forget that sonic can also use the power of chaos emeralds to give further boost and even teleport and we can see that even in smash bros he carries one around, not just his final smash of super sonic but one of his victory screens literally has him holding one so if him alone couldnt outrun galeem then with the help of the chaos emerald he most likely couldve gotten away
Yes but can Sonic fly at the speed of light, since the beams of light covers the entire universe .
yes, as super sonic he can. he can fly as fast as he boosts and the boosts aren't his top speed so he can most likely outrun it, though super sonic doesn't need to outrun it, can just stop time, time travel, or teleport.
@@infern209x I wasn't talking about Super Sonic, as we don't know he has the emeralds. I was talking about Sonic as his usual self.

Pokemon Trainer and Falcon both used theyr Final Smashes
So i think Sonic could had have the Chaos Emeralds
And even if he couldnt had outboost the Light as Super Sonic, he could use the Time Travel from CD and just Skip the destruction of the Universe (just like Kirby did)
I wouldn't count those as they aren't using them as a final smash. Falco isn't sending the rest of Star Fox to attack Galeem and Falcon didn't have his vehicle automatically ram into the light and then drive it into the light after getting in.
@@niwi7642 where would he get the time stones so quickly?

And what about in Sonic 06 with two emeralds he could have gone to the past to warm everyone or to the future when kirby crashed his warp star?
