@@JBSpookyReview * SPOILERS * the twist at the end was pretty nifty and I like how they made Samuel's character ambiguous, like you're not sure if he's a good guy or not. Good acting from Scott Bairstow, I wasn't sure how to feel about the character for most of the episode.
Ive been binging these all weekend. I've been a long time X-Phile, and love going back through these while I work on other projects. I especially like the old teasers that you put at the end of the video. Keep it up!

I have been to numerous dens of sin the world over, and if you want to catch Hepatitis at a place like that, you have to usually pay double for that kind of action Justin.

Nope, volume of the dialogue in this series was a constant problem from what I remember. And I thought this was the episode where the priest was summoning a reaper then realized that was an episode of Supernatural.
The volume issue isn't as bad later, but early on it's very noticeable.
1:48 Baseketball is one of those overlooked and underappreciated comedy masterpieces from the 90s. It really is one of the last great comedies from the 90s before that weird copy and past trend of 2000s comedies took over.
I love BASEketball. I don't know why it doesn't get more love.
@@JBSpookyReview : Oh, autocorrect got me on that one. Yeah, I'll have to edit it. As far as the fact Baseketball gets little attention is due to the fact Team America and South Park Bigger, Longer and Uncut completely overshadowed it. Not to mention you rarely saw it on TV whereas, occasionally Comedy Central put both Team America and the South Park movie on random rotation throughout the years. Baseketball just never got the right exposure.
That’s quite a reveal at the end about that actor, proof that real life is way scarier than fiction. Hope he rots in …….

You know now that you say it... Judge Doom was creepy when I was a kid. I mean he still is.
I remember not really liking this episode but think that might be because it followed an alien ep which my favourites. Like you said in the video it's just kind of there.
It followed EBE which was so much better but it's not bad just not one of my favourites.

Just rewatching the Dr Sleep movie, all about psychics. In the X-files, when there's prayer healers, miracles etc I often look at it from an X-men background :) Samuel was a mutant, used by a local sect to propagate their beliefs and make money. You could tell he was suffering from being raised in a judgment and hellfire religious worldview.
That's an interesting way of looking at it that I never would have thought of.
The most boring episode in season 1. Marginally more interesting than watching paint dry but not by much.
You're entitled to your opinion, but I personally believe the title of most boring episode belongs to "Space" (the one with the face from Mars). Nothing really happens and the few things that do happen just feels like a bad ghost story mixed with mind based illnesses...
They're both fairly meh.
