@@JBSpookyReview * SPOILERS * the twist at the end was pretty nifty and I like how they made Samuel's character ambiguous, like you're not sure if he's a good guy or not. Good acting from Scott Bairstow, I wasn't sure how to feel about the character for most of the episode.
Thank you for the video! Gillian Anderson and the power of just the way she says “no” 5:43 . ❤ The tally of the times scully claims she’s a medical doctor is brilliant. And your placement of Mrs. Doubtfire was perfect! Keep these amazing videos coming.
I just try and make these things as entertaining as I can. Not everything will be a hit, but I just hope people enjoy them. Thank you for all the kind words.
Ive been binging these all weekend. I've been a long time X-Phile, and love going back through these while I work on other projects. I especially like the old teasers that you put at the end of the video. Keep it up!
I'm just sitting here scrolling thru yt & waiting for 10pm, X Files time on Comet- check your local listings lol-when the algorithms suddenly bestows your channel upon me...and there's a helicopter circling overhead... coincidence? Edited to say: Wow! You had me at John Carpenter! And everyone's favorite game 😂 Liked, loved and subscribed! Thanks for the great X Files content, especially the original commercial at the end. Your humor really puts it over the top *chef's kiss
@@JBSpookyReview Absolutely my pleasure! Going to be revisiting your revisitations (heh) on the other episodes. But wow, all the different references blew me away. Exorcist II for the locusts!? Can't wait to catch up! Excellent stuff, sir, excellent!
1:48 Baseketball is one of those overlooked and underappreciated comedy masterpieces from the 90s. It really is one of the last great comedies from the 90s before that weird copy and past trend of 2000s comedies took over.
@@JBSpookyReview : Oh, autocorrect got me on that one. Yeah, I'll have to edit it. As far as the fact Baseketball gets little attention is due to the fact Team America and South Park Bigger, Longer and Uncut completely overshadowed it. Not to mention you rarely saw it on TV whereas, occasionally Comedy Central put both Team America and the South Park movie on random rotation throughout the years. Baseketball just never got the right exposure.
Nope, volume of the dialogue in this series was a constant problem from what I remember. And I thought this was the episode where the priest was summoning a reaper then realized that was an episode of Supernatural.
I have been to numerous dens of sin the world over, and if you want to catch Hepatitis at a place like that, you have to usually pay double for that kind of action Justin. I'm Ride or Die, on this Justin. remember us little people when you make the big time and hit 1k subscribers!
I remember not really liking this episode but think that might be because it followed an alien ep which my favourites. Like you said in the video it's just kind of there.
Just rewatching the Dr Sleep movie, all about psychics. In the X-files, when there's prayer healers, miracles etc I often look at it from an X-men background :) Samuel was a mutant, used by a local sect to propagate their beliefs and make money. You could tell he was suffering from being raised in a judgment and hellfire religious worldview.
You're entitled to your opinion, but I personally believe the title of most boring episode belongs to "Space" (the one with the face from Mars). Nothing really happens and the few things that do happen just feels like a bad ghost story mixed with mind based illnesses...
scully telling people she's a medical doctor really *is* my favourite!
Haha it's just something silly I figured i could do because she does mention it quite a bit in the series.
@@JBSpookyReview as Sheev Palpatine once said: "Dewit!"
I'm loving the Scully is a Doctor joke 🤣
Great intro scene. Its a rare case of "hopeful creepy".
Praise the lord another video has made it's way to you fine people. For real though I hope everyone is doing great.
Doing pretty good especially when you upload my favorite series.
@@hajime5486 hey thanks I really appreciate it.
I'm Christian and this is one of the most memorable episodes for me!
I think it's pretty solid.

I wish I had thought about adding the teasers earlier, but oh well better late than never.
Always a good video. Thanks for the work Justin.
No, thank you for watching.
Fantastic video.. loving these.. 👍🏼😎
Thank you I'm glad you're enjoying them.
I swear if we were playing one of those mental association games we would be finishing each other's references another great vid
Haha things just pop in my head some times.
awesome stuff. love the first season of the x files. thanks for making these
I'm just glad you enjoyed it.
Hey I love the the Scully "I'm a medical doctor" segments hahahaha. Thanks for the laughs Justin.

Now that's what I call a sticky situation.
haha right?
That’s quite a reveal at the end about that actor, proof that real life is way scarier than fiction. Hope he rots in …….
Oh yeah when I was looking up the info I couldn't believe it. I had always wondered what happened to him.
I love the Irish Mr. Potato Head gag. XD
Sometimes I manage to make a funny, it doesn't happen often.
Makes sense that Mr Potato Head is irish
I think you're right.
Found the episode where they filmed in my hometown and also that bar where you could get hepatitis is 100% real that place was so nasty
Haha it looked nasty.
the roadkill bit was hilarious
Haha it made me laugh just thinking about how dumb it was going to be.
Nope, volume of the dialogue in this series was a constant problem from what I remember. And I thought this was the episode where the priest was summoning a reaper then realized that was an episode of Supernatural.
The volume issue isn't as bad later, but early on it's very noticeable.
Will you break down the movies too please
Oh I'm going to do everything.

It followed EBE which was so much better but it's not bad just not one of my favourites.
Lol when I watched this episode I thought Vance looked like judge doom
You know now that you say it... Judge Doom was creepy when I was a kid. I mean he still is.
Ah yes "Faith Healers" aka this is why humans will believe absolutely anything
Ah there's far worse things people believe in. There are actually people out there that think the government cares about them.

That's an interesting way of looking at it that I never would have thought of.
The most boring episode in season 1. Marginally more interesting than watching paint dry but not by much.
