That is nice you only work 2 days. Boy it is cold there. Where I am we rarely are minus. It is in the 40's today. We don't have bad winters in Colorado. I didn't know he took down the abbys that is so sad. Thank you for visiting our channel. The time you spent watching our video is appreciated. You rock.

I love Yorkshire….. what a beautiful hike all over again… Last day of freedom…. hahahaha.. but working two days a week is amazing.… OK, we don't work anymore… I mean, we work a lot but not in a job! Shorts when it is so cold… only in GB…. hahahaha… not us Portuguese! The river flows really fast… reminds me of Switzerland! Maybe the guy smashed the abbeys because he was so frustrated with so many women around him???? Who knows… That abbey must have been incredible! Thanks for sharing so much with us… Especially those like me, who are too lazy to hike anyway.

In the past, when King Henry was a monastery was very impressive.

Side note: 1 of my ancestors was a famous american war drummer boy, walt disney did a movie about him
Johnny Clem....(Johnny Shiloh) cant remember the name of the old movie. But ya can google it. Hahaa!! He was quite a distinguished American soldier....still today.

Wow, so you got some history there as well. I have been doing this walk since I was a kid, as it is only 15 miles from where we live and the Drummer Boy story is real famous in these parts. Thanks so much for stopping by Dee and have a very Merry Christmas, cheers Alan

I love your beanies Alan - this one was cool. I gotta say I have a video of how to navigate a field full of cows. That might be one for you. Ha ha! Good walk mate - I remember the Drummer boy. All the best. Mark

Back to work! Did you say you walk 10 or 11 miles a day? That's really good. I'm quite jealous. I could use that amount of exercise and outdoors time. I always appreciate the history the most. It's my favorite subject and I especially hearing stories and seeing places I had no idea even existed, because of my own shortcomings. Some history from North Yorkshire is appreciated. It's interesting -- but harsh. Take care.

Yep, 10 to 11 miles on both days, as I am a school caretaker, covering 2 big schools, so I am constantly walking back and forward between them, which I enjoy. Lots of history and old ruins in the North of England Rocky. Thanks very much for watching and commenting buddy, appreciate it, cheers Alan
