I have one of each and they are a blast to drive, the 2010 Camaro has been worked on and is fun to drive, but my 2014 Z51 is the car i prefer to drive over the Camaro, i feel it’s the best american car made, just my opinion
The first race was a BASE model corvette vs. The most powerful camaro Chevy builds and STILL the corvette won... that was surprising to say the least. Camaros are built for drag races and corvette were never designed to be a drag car its more suited for the track so this was very interesting to see.
I found out in the comment section that wasn't a base vette lmao it was a z06 rebaged which is easy to do.Stingrays compete with the ss not the zl1 not even the 5th gen zl1
@@mikehogan5087 that's definitely a base model if u know anything about vettes you can take one look at it and see its a base model... the sides of the vetted don't have the prominent air scoops on the side that comes in the grand sport and z06 model.. as well as the rear lights are also that of a base model the z06 comes with clear lights in the back as well ...also the rims are the base rims that come with a base vette... I own a grand sport 3lt so I definitely know all the features that differ... don't rely on "comment section" for your information thats just not smart. And another thing why would anyone spend over 100k on a car and "rebadge" it to make it look like a cheaper model..that makes noooooo sense whatsoever 🤔

In a drag race, the ZR1 will probably win, it does have more power. But I’m not familiar enough with the zl1 to accurately compare them In a drag race. ZR1 goes 0-60 in 2.9. But, the ZR1s (Stingrays in general) aren’t made to be drag monsters. They’re track monster. They’ll destroy that camaro on the track.
First race camaro had slicks which changes things ...c7 trapped 130 which tells you it was highly modified...as you saw the c7 trapped 130 while the zo6 did 125...so dont bother trying to compare motors or anything of that sorts with this video
The red Camaro had radials. Either way pretty even match they both have the LT4 with a supercharger. Camaro has ten gears little bit of an advantage in acceleration.
Blows my mind that supercharged V8s are in low 12s high 11s.....hell I watch NA V8s getting into low 12s right from the factory! Is the GM supercharger just for bragging rights???
There are very very few n/a cars in my area that can get below 13s in my area just due to elevation. It does depend on those factors as well. That ZL1 should be low 11s with those tires but he has no idea how to drive that thing.

Why heat up street tires?
To gain more grip and get the tires heated so when they launch you dont fishtail and crash
Rubber becomes softer with heat allowing the rubber to hug the ground more easily therefore giving the car more grip
