hello, I opened a new account and merged it with my steam account, but my user name in steam does not appear, the name I just opened appears, how can I fix it?

When I press login, there’s no registration option. It just logs me into my acc

This helped so much because I didn’t have a VRChat account because I only used oculus to log in and I was having trouble logging into VRChat when I realized I didn’t have an account for VRChat but that meant I wasn’t able to use any of my avatars that it took ages to find or play with any friends but this video helped solve that problem! So if I merge my steam vr chat to the vr chat on website, I should be able to log back into steam vr to use vr chat and the numbers will be gone and then I can use the website cause it's merged to upload avis? I don't wanna loose the 500 hours of steamvr and friends.. I like logging into steam vr
Yeah, exactly, You'll still be able to log in with steam, no need to type login and password for VRC account ;)

Use different email or if You want this account back just reset password. You already registered account or someone used Your email, simple

For me there is not Upgrade Account button. I looked on the website and i am not linked with my Steam account either
You have to go to "big settings" the button should be next to logout button

It means that Your account is already migrated or You're using an official VRChat account

Yes, but only if there's no avatars/friends on Your VRChat account ;)

i did it and it worked in the first time but when logged out and i tried to log in in the site i couldnt they say invalid username or email or password i tried to change the password and its the same thing :c
If You merged it successfully, it has to be there, You're probably typing Your password wrong, try to use password recovery option

So I merged my vrchat and oculus account and I have everything except my favorited avatars and I can't favorite any others what do I do
You have to wait a bit after merge for everything to appear, but no longer than 1h

@@Hoodlin yeah you have to wait a for and hour like you can't get on vrchat at all and if that doesn't work go to the setting tab and you might be able to switch to your steam/oculus account

You just have to rewrite this code character by character, from quest 2 to browser

I can't get in my quest acc bc I am a avitar that crashes me evreytime I loud amd I can't change avatars fast enough to not crash so I'm stuck
If You already merged Your account, You can simply switch avatar on website. But if Your account wasn't merged I don't think there's way to fix that. You can try remove game cache and switch avatar in game before it'll load.

Will I have to be connected to my PC when I'm playing after the merge to have the pc lobbies?
Wdym? There's nothing like "PC lobbies", they're the same for quest and PC, but sometimes worlds are "PC only" and U can play be there using PC with desktop/VR mode.
So, I got an acc named Yui(..) [Oculus Quest 2, connected with Link cable to my PC) for a couple months and I want to change my name.. now, if I go and make a new account on the VRChat Website with the same email etc., and open the game and upgrade my account, will it have a new name or do I have to do that separately? And will my stuff still be there when logging in? As in friends, worlds, etc.?
You'll keep all Your data if Your VRChat account will be completely empty. It'll use Your oculus account as a source for friends, worlds and rank. After merge You'll use Your VRChat account name.

So it means that Your steam account is already linked/merged with some VRChat account, there is no other way ;)

Okay I just did it and I'm with a friend on vrchat and his name went white it's not golden anymore and I'm kind of worried now but let's see
You have to wait max 1h for migration to be completed, don't use vrc at that time. If Your vrchat account was empty, You'll keep all Your data from oculus account

What I did was go onto my oculus and generated the code. I then got onto my pc and typed that code in on the website. I noticed that you said in other comments that there shouldn't be any spaces and I didn't see those comments until after I put the code in. Its saying that its merging but Im nervous because I put spaces. Will anything happen? Should I wait until later to try again?
If Your account wasn't merged You can just try again now

You can play VRChat on quest 2 without PC/steam, performance is ofc a bit lower but still good enough.

If there is "Hi {name}" it means that his account is already merged

Hello, I combined my Steam account with another VR chat account and I guess I can't cancel it, right? I have now created a new VR chat account. What I want to do is write a shaped nickname with different characters. Is a Steam account required for this? Is a VR chat account enough? Can you please help
You can change Your display name on VRChat website, but You can do it only once per 90 days.

yes, just did this and everything moved over, but keep in mind, that you are going to have to set back your custom home if you have one and select your avatar from the menu

@@Austinvr. yes they do stay, basically everything stays but you’d have to manually select things like your avatars, custom homes etc.

Try to log in on VRChat website with Your phone and make sure that token is 100% correct, make sure that there's no spaces and stuff like that. I'm pretty sure that it's just wrong token

Exactly, technically it will be one VRChat account, but You will be able to log into it with Your merged accounts, so You don't even have to use login and password ;)
