I played a few rounds with them and one of their friends that was trusted rank added me and that gave me my trusted rank. I joked around with my friends saying goofy stuff like "Sorry, I can't talk to you. I'm a trusted user now." I don't think I'll ever act like the stereotypical trusted user. I enjoy teaching people the ropes and helping new people.
As a visitor who played for almost 30 hours,i don't care too much about my rank,i'm having fun in the differents worlds i like,some people give me attention because of some interesting avatar or for just having a lil talk with me,it's so fun to have a collection of favorited avatars

Quick rank up guide to Trusted user, Upload a world or 2, Upload at least 3 avatars, friend request random people (you only need like 30 friends), play the game around 300-500 hours (12-20 days straight) If you really don't want to do anything, go in desktop, set up a script that makes you run and another script that turns your mouse constantly to left or right and let its spin around while AFK. QUICKEST WAY IS STILL TO BUY VRC+

i got kicked from a karaoke room for no reason, i had a normal avatar, and was standing in front of the song selection screen off to the side, not blocking it, and looking up music on my phone to pick my song, and then randomly got kicked. and once you get kicked, you can't even ask why or appeal it or anything, so i was really confused after that
Ok I have to comment on this. I been playing vr chat since Dec. 20 2017. Back then it was easy with no rank and only a friend and online symbol above your name. Of course you had the Uganda Knuckles to keep you company every world you went to :) I say in 2019 or 2020 they had the ranking system here and used it to moderate worlds like those straight Mods now in worlds. Back in 2017 and 2018 vr chat was more like the wild west and fun to play. It took me to about 2300 hours of play time to get to the trusted user rank but word of advice us trusted users don't really have that much more power than a new user cause they (vr chat) has given full power to the MODS that they choose! To rank up is a math algorithm they put in the game which measures time, friends list, world making or avatar making.

The only rank i care about is new user when i can use a custom model as i want to use my own avatar when learning how to dance and use it for my content. Personally i have severe social anxiety and always did when i was a kid so i don't care for the social aspect, so i suppose i will just Mirror gaze to get new user rank and after that go into a private world or home world or whatever it is called Maybe if i get good enough i will go to the dance worlds just to show off

Vrchat system sucks try to upload an avatar it does not have to be a good one just upload it or if that's to hard download unity and creator companion and log into the sdk that boosted me to known user

New update made it so that only Trusted users can see, vote, and start vote kicks.
However, if you're the owner of the instance then you can scroll down on your menu to kick or instance mute a player.
