Love this ending. As much as the other version is good, this one sounds like its saying "Yeah, things are ending now. But we'll be back again soon", as though its riding off into the sunset, having successfully secured a place in Disney history, a place in our minds, hearts and souls, one that can never be replaced or taken away.
When I was a kid, I recorded full cassettes of the intro and outro and would listen to them all day. I was getting high off the music at 9 years old. Music is mysterious shit
I miss when cartoon shows used to wish you "goodbye and see you again soon". Giving you one last moment to saver before you go about the rest of the day.
I know that there were two, possibly three ending songs for the ORIGINAL Chip N Dale RR, but I always preferred this one for some reason. I remember after the episode ended I would hope they'd play this version, and when they played the other version, I got slightly depressed.😔🥺 There was no RUclips or decent internet back then to find this song, so I'd have to wait till the next episode, and HOPED they played this version. Those were good times regardless.😂
This version was my favorite by far because here in Texas this version played on Friday's at the end of the episode. Let me know my Saturday cartoons were coming. I miss those days soo much. This almost makes me want to cry
I miss those days very much too. I miss the days when cartoons like this had awesome credit music to listen to when you were trying to read who brought our favorite cartoons to life.
I understand, cartoons are a big part of my life, and when I watch such a Great Show as Chip'n Dale, Duck Tales, Darkwing Duck, Courage the Cowardly Dog, SpongeBob, Regular Show... I'm about to cry.
There kind of IS a longer version. When I had rescue rangers on VHS as a kid their version of the ending credits was slightly longer (because they had to also say what episode the credits matched to). I imagine this would alos be an easy song t oloop and create a much longer version of anyway.
One word to describe this, and one word only: timeless. Timeless in that as soon as you hear this tune, you're not in 2017 or whatever year it may be when you hear it. You're right back in 1989-1992, you're a kid watching your favorite show after school or on your summer break when anything seemed possible. Fact is that kids will now never fully understand the charm and feelings that one felt growing up in those years when cartoons like this were on the air. Its beyond sad when you think about it, but to each their own.
Yeah, it absolutely sucks that today's generations of kids will never get to know what it was like or understand the charm as well as the feelings that we felt when cartoons like this were on the air when we got home from school back in the 80s and 90s. It's very sad as well as very unfortunate :(
Agreed. I was only very lucky to catch the last airings of this on TV. So I almost missed out, only got to watch the entire series by going to sketchy websites that put thousands of viruses on my parents computers. Even then, it was after i discovered the show. Never got parents to buy DVDs of all the shows i liked, they only bought the ones my older brother wanted. Forgot about the series for years until the movie was about to come out, then I binged the cartoon again. Sucks others from my generation and after didn't get to experience the same thing.
◾ Chip 'n Dale: Rescue Rangers (March 4, 1989 - November 19, 1990) ◾ Chip 'n Dale: Rescue Rangers (May 20, 2022) It's been a greatest adventure ride and awesome show ever. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!! 🐿️🌰👌❤️😍
I like both versions of theme, but I like this one better. I just wish they'd have played both versions equally, rotating them on an episode by episode basis.
This version of the credits played at the end of my copy of Super Sleuths (which I no longer have) and from what I found on RUclips, all Rescue Rangers tapes.
This version reminds me of upcomming next episode the next days. The version 1 reminds me of the last episode of rescue rangers Nostalgia hits hard and painful
For some reason I like this version of the Chip and Dale's Rescur Rangers closing theme over the sax-driven version, b/c the synthesizers are more soothing and pleasant and not as grating on the ears as the sax version.
The Disney Junior version of Rescue Rangers had the "Disney Junior" logo (Rescue Rangers variant) plastered over the "Distributed by Buena Vista International, Inc." logo with the "(C)1989 The Walt Disney Company" copyright notice intact.
If I could edit all Chip & Dale Rescue Ranger Episodes, I would change all endings to have this one ONLY since the other one is not very good at all, I can't stand it. But I LOVE this one. :)
Upload the closing to Disney's Haunted Hits: Things That Go Bump in the Night 2002 VHS 1. Last few seconds of "Throw Mummy from the Train" 2. Kim Possible promo 3. Kim Possible ending (October 31st) 4. Chip N Dale's Rescue Rangers ending (Throw Mummy from the Train)
This version sounds like it has the same production as the version 1 theme song, and the version 1 ending sounds the same as the same as the version 2 theme song. Kind of strange.
Maybe this is a bit of Mandela Effect on my part, but did it always seem like this version of the Credits played on a Friday? Almost like saying: enjoy the weekend, lol!
Does anyone know how many episodes used this version? I vaguely remember the other version being more common, and it looks like most of you remember the other version being more common as well, so it's not just me.
I don't remember if there were audio promos for other cartoons when the ending credits were playing for this cartoon. I'd like to say there weren't, but I could be mistaken. Can anybody please confirm or deny?
Why is this listed as version 2? Should be the other way around. I know the DVDs confused this by putting the other one on early episodes but yeah as someone who watched the show in the 1980s and had the VHS tapes, this was the first version out. I always thought the other version, with the saxaphone, sounded so wrong.
I'm confused as to when and where each version was used. I distinctly remember watching the show the first year it was on, before it would be absorbed into the Disney Afternoon the following year, and I know that this version was what played every day. Yet I've heard other people remember the opposite --- that the other one ran every day, except for the original 13 that aired as a "preview" sample on Disney Channel earlier in the year. But I never even knew that version existed until sometime in the mid '90s when reruns of the show turned up on a local station early on Saturday mornings, and they'd pasted it onto the end of every episode. I was confused, and still am, honestly.

best comment ever m8. I actually come here to read the comment more than watch the vid!
@Mattster Ch33f I always felt that way myself
I think this is the version that they would play on Fridays, so that description kinda fits perfectly!
Man that's deep
Couldn’t have said it better myself. ❤
i never get tired of hearing the theme song from chip and dale rescue rangers
Why we can't use this music as ringtone? Just like I'm doing this.

This font is called "Helvetica" in the closing credits of season 1 of Chip 'n' Dale Rescue Rangers you are watching right now.
Most of Disney's animated shows prior to 1993 used Helvetica for their end credits. It's very nostalgic

It's funny cuz this one used to be my fav as a kid, now the other one is. Gotta love the classic saxophone in 90s cartoons
I mean, the title says version 2. So it must be the second credits theme.
This must be the actual first version. It shows the year 1989 at the end while the other shows 1990.
