I 1st saw the show on NBC Saturday Morning & it makes me think of The Smurfs, only underwater. I don't remember all the episodes but I recall I loved it anyway & just hearing this theme again brings me Tears of Elation...WORTH IT😂. Hanna-Barbara was a worthy product of it's time & can NEVER be replaced...EVER😭.
I used to watch this on boomerang sometimes I was about 8 or 9 years old at the time. I cannot remember what my favourite Episode was even though it came out in the late 80s I like the ending of the song.
@pannoni1 There were also the actors behind Rhinokey/Skeletor (Alan Oppenheimer), Chef Louis/Pepe Le Pew (Rene Auberjonois) and Bart Simpson (Nancy Cartwright). In the first 'Snorks' credits, Peter Cullen (voices of Optimus Prime and Eeyore) was in the cast.
this must've been syndicated on your local ABC station if you heard that voiceover on the copy you saw. This was when The Snorks was airing on 1st-run syndication during this point.
@ShredderzGirl not to mention the voices of Handy Smurf/Grouchy Smurf/Lazy Smurf/Johan (Michael Bell) Fred Jones/Peewit/Nibbler/Hefty Smurf (Frank Welker) Velma Dinkley (BJ Ward) Mark Chang/Bird Brain (Rob Paulsen). I think that the Programme would've improved vastly if they had made a new series in the early 90's with HB veteran Don Messick (Scooby Doo/Papa Smurf) or Lucille Bliss (Smurfette) as an addition, they had great voices! and they knew most of the cast from working with them on Smurfs
This show was nostalgic for good memory, but unfortunately probably never going to be planned to be used in again in any future cameos or new good reboots.
Agreed,I actually wrote to President Barack Obama before he left office at the White House to pass a bill to bring back Saturday Morning cartoons back to broadcast network television. And it happened for awhile until they started showing infomercials all the time again
did all those people do the voices in one single episode? Or did they just use the same end credits for all of them? From what I remember, it didn't seem like there were all those characters.
Snorks rock! BTW could someone please help me? There's this awesome video I liked called "Demetrius (Dimmy) Finster Show- Epic Ballet Lessons" but I can't find it,
Like "Challenge of the Go-Bots" dispite being called a "Transformers" ripoff, this was also another one of my Hanna Barbera favorites dispite being called a "Smurfs" ripoff.

I never considered Snorks that much like Smurfs. I just saw it as a stand alone underwater cartoon.
Thank you, Boomerang 💙

The best way to describe The Snorks was that it was basically the Smurfs underwater and the SpongeBob of the 1980's.
Yes.
Basically a mix of Spongebob and smurfs
