Tip: Roll electrical tape around each of the spoons to prevent them from slipping between your fingers. Adds a whole new meaning to "he wasn't born with a silver spoon in his mouth"..☺ You can also do many variations within the rhythm of the reel, the jig and the hornpipe. Be careful if you try to play the spoons in Ireland...ruclips.net/video/_11JDYcZX44/видео.html
This was very interesting. I was impressed. I bet he annoyed his mom growing up playing with spoons. Also, lovely dog, piano, maranta and calathea. I kill those bishes all the time and have given up on ever growing them.
He's a crazy talented man! He plays a good few instruments. How my houseplants are still alive is beyond me- but somehow they keep on going despite my neglect, ha!
You can select key on the app, but that's as far as it goes. In hindsight, I shouldn't have used my tenor for this vid- i'd only just got it and was eager to play it... but in this video it wasn't broken in, and I hadn't got on top of the breath control for it! (I think you can see me running out of puff by the end of the tune!) Hopefully I manage not to be so flat these days, ha!
Johnny & June Cash have an old song about Jackson and getting married in a fever . It is a fun tune & perfect for spoons. Good video!❤
Fine little and underrated percusive instrument. Thanks Tim for the lesson and Lauren for putting this together. I'm off to the kitchen ! :-)
The spoons are definitely underrated and mis-understood, i think! Great percussive capabilities, and a fun way to spend a rainy afternoon, ha!
Very entertaining, well spooned Tim, Rupert and Lauren.
Thank you. Rupert picked it up faster than me...
The spoon playing is great, I'm a jews harper and bonesman here in the U.S.A.
The picture of your sleeping dog holding spoons amused me
Great stuff! Thanks for the link to the radio show - I see a lot of my faves featured. Very engaging video.
Thank you- we enjoyed making the video. Tim is a great radio presenter to listen to, and he really knows his music. It's a very good listen :)
Really nice video ! The first video of you featuring an actual musician ! I love how you evolve, best regard for the next
Thanks, glad you enjoyed it! Fun one to make :)

That's what I'm here for! :)
@@ClaythorpeMusic Keep it up!
What about trying a melodica?
That would probably be great fun and wildly outside of my capabilities! Daresay I'll get round to it one day, though...

@@ClaythorpeMusic They probably need neglect to do well...
That's a pretty girl.
🤔 Makes me wonder…
Why in the world would I be interested in “playing the spoons”? 😩
