The singer gets the attention. I used to have an issue with it, but tbh I think that *is* the more rare skill. Not just being *good at singing* but really SELLING the writing but how well you interpret it. I do much prefer singers and musicians that write their own music obviously, but I believe that’s why the actors/singers/voice actor etc steal the show.

    Tarantino is in the wrong here. The actors made the characters stars. Just take a look at the previous hulk movies. Mark Ruffalo made Hulk a star, even Edward Norton couldn't do it. And yeah what RDJ has done with Ironman will be part of history.
    To be honest after watching the actors in Avengers I went all out trying to catch up on the movies of them. That's how I found out Chaplin and I was intrigued to watch Foxcatcher. And yeah I watched X men and Nolan Batman before I went ahead with Prestige.
    So to write them as not movies or by reducing the actors as "non stars" I feel it is petty on his part. Same goes for Martin Scorsese. It is like bigwigs of silent era dismissing the success of talkies.

    As it should, no mortal deserves the power of a star. They can't handle that power and ends up becoming a pedo.

    The only thing more tired than super hero movies is directors giving their negative takes on super hero movies.

    It's true. I watched Miss Congeniality because I like Sandra Bullock. I can't think of a single movie I've watched because one of the Marvel actors starred in it. I like a lot of the Marvel movies too

      Absolutely, he never gets checked and his fanbase is somewhat toxic so it pumps his ego even more. Anytime someone challenges Tarantino he just raises his voice, yells explicitly, and hurls insults. Great film maker, but def has unchecked god complex.

    We don’t want to see our characters get taken away from us like Captain Rodgers or Iron man, etc. The fact that they took them away from us hurts me deeply. Chris Helmsworth-Thor won’t be matched. Chris Evans Captain America won’t be matched. Robert Downey He’s Iron Man won’t be matched. Yet they are scripting them off for reasons unknown. Yet, they scratch their heads as to why they are losing millions. It’s because they are taking these characters away from us, especially the actors/actresses that play them.

    yeah but these actors are playing hugely popular and loved characters that have been around for 30 years before their careers even started, characters who have an entire life of deep backstory, not just written for the movie in 6 months..

    A good example of an actor portraying a character correctly is joker. Phoenix did a fantastic job with his role is a solid film that could essentially be considered a character study. It's dark and gritty obviously more tuned for mature audiences. Marvel has good actors, and the roles are fitting, but with how they handle plots the main focus is what can the character add to the actor not vise versa while maintaining a kid friendly record to garner the attention of children and therefore the parents who fall in line.

  • @thebrownfilmshow
    @thebrownfilmshow 11 месяцев назад

    That's oversimplifying it, if you put any other actor in those roles it won't work. Just ask any 90s or 00s actors who played those characters and were very unsuccessful. Does anyone remember Ed Norton as Hulk, and Reb Brown as Captain America?
