  • After lusting about a poly for a year at least, I finally stopped thinking about it and got an OB6 module. I've only had it for a few days so allow me to revel into the delicious sound of that continuously variable filter. Take this video as some shameless filter noodling with a bit of Dub Techno sprinkled on top.
    OB6 & Alphabase, no overdubs.

    Oh that's nice!!! That state variable sizzle is great for this!! I just got my Waldorf M, and was planning some similar style sets. ;)

    Great dub lines! A lot going on with just one synth. The sub bass rumble is also from the Ob-6?

    • @LucasMarchal
      @LucasMarchal  Год назад +3

      yes all of it is just one OB6 line + a couple delays :)

    Is sub base coming from OB6? Sounds amazing

    • @LucasMarchal
      @LucasMarchal  Год назад +3

      Yes, same synth line, it's just one take. I love it too, it's the sub osc I think.

    Hey Lucas. Which sequencer was used here ? The ob6 sounds really lush. Modern classic. But how about ob-x8….😊

    • @LucasMarchal
      @LucasMarchal  Год назад +1

      I used Ableton to sequence the OB6, best/easiest thing I've tried. OBx8 must be nice but I don't have the space... nor the €€€

    Would be interested if you could try to create a similar sound with modular

    • @LucasMarchal
      @LucasMarchal  Год назад +1

      honestly I've tried, and my answer is a hard no. different tools for different jobs ! I've made a video about making dub techno with the modular, do check it if you want to compare.

      @@LucasMarchal Have you tried a SEM filter with some similar sounding osc? I bet it wouldn't be that hard to get a really similar sound if you got modules to match up with the sound characteristics of the OB6 maybe but I totally feel you it's a different workflow etc. I really miss my Vermona Perfourmer but the sound never really fit

    • @LucasMarchal
      @LucasMarchal  Год назад +4

      @@EightsEverywhere yeah maybe... but the most simple things on the OB6 would take so many modules to recreate I don't see the point.

    is this the inbuilt or external delay?

    • @LucasMarchal
      @LucasMarchal  Год назад +2

      external ! A plug in for the main one and the dub sends towards the end are El Capistan.

    • @Doomsterone1
      @Doomsterone1 Год назад

      How did you set up those delays on as a send and on insert ?;)

    • @LucasMarchal
      @LucasMarchal  Год назад +2

      @@Doomsterone1 first delay is a plug in directly on the channel (not a send) and El Capistan pedal is set up as a send fx in ableton with the External Instrument audio effect.
