There’s much more to a smartphone than its camera - but these days, the camera is usually the component that changes the most between generations. So when I plucked Apple's iPhone 12 Pro out of its curiously thin box on Saturday, the first thing I wanted to test was its updated camera - and the same duo of Davids who helped me test the LG Wing were down to clown in another town! So join me for a look at the City of Brotherly Love, from the Liberty Bell to the SS United States, as seen through the lens of the Apple iPhone 12 Pro.

My second phone was a LG v10 this the dark blue it was a fine and nice phone love it
Amazingly enough, my G7 is a tank. It's over 2 years old, and literally has no damage. Granted, it's mostly in a case, but the cases have broken and fallen off but the phone eats it. LG just makes solid ass phones, ig
The filming only lasted one day because there was no charger to recharge it.
Thank god a charger was available, because out the box they would have been stomped.
I have a lot of feelings about this video but one thing that I simply need to address is your feelings on scrapple. I'm just going to say it: I don't know where you got it, looks like you possibly went to the Down Home Diner in Reading Terminal Market. But most restaurants when they prepare it they deep fry it which is what yields that "gushing" texture you guys all described. This is mostly done because scrapple really takes time to cook and not every place has the time to spend potentially 10 minutes on a slice. Basically you slice it quarter inch thick (like a slice of Brisket) and you sear the heck out of both sides till they turn brown. The result should be a crispy but not burnt salty breakfast meat treat. Some people like it as is but dipping in ketchup is totally fine.
Also one other thing: while there are some places in the city that make their own scrapple, like Kraftwork Bar in Fishtown, the best off the shelf scrapple is going to always be Habbersett. All other brands taste off or have a funky texture even when cooked like described above.

Thanks for the excellent feedback! We were limited to venues within walking distance that offered outdoor dining, so we didn't always have pick of the litter when it came to food. Hopefully the next visit will be in happier and more accessible times! Appreciate the scrapple tips. 🖖

Because of the new (actually old) design which I love and iOS 14 being closer to Android than ever and me loving small phones I really consider the iPhone 12 mini, words that I never thought I'd say as an lifelong Android user (the other option is Pixel 5)
Not a fan of iPhones but that colour....android phones take note, black or white isn't always a nice finish.

@@fabricio5p the thing is compared to google which is pretty much a data and advertising company that makes most of their money from ads, Apple is a more product/service oriented business. They probably do collect some level of data but since that’s not what they make their money off of you can bet it’s a LOT less Han what Google or Facebook is gathering
iPhone cameras are best if you want a non filtered camera and if you don’t plan to zoom in much, sidebar I feel like apple just gave up on Siri it’s just something that’s there now, I mainly use Siri for fractions, percentages and word definitions and having to repeat myself sometimes just because the mic isn’t next to my mouth is annoying but everything else about the it is great

iPhone aside, scrapple has always been more of a pork sausage consistency, I've never had it "gushy" like mozzarella sticks. It should be firm and solid - like a dense meat-flavored cornbread.

I have had all the pixel phones from 2 onwards. This is where it stops though, I feel so let down by Google wrt to the Pixel 5.. why can't they make a good phone with hardware par with standards of the day? I don't want my phone to start lagging after a year..and I can't even get the Iphone, looks at Siri, the news feed, and Apple car play. .
The pixel 5 easily seems like the best pixel ever tbh. There's nothing fatally poor about the phone

Just realized my cap is made in Philadelphia. I never left Southeast Asia
a battery life from 10 to 5 is actually still impressive when you take so much pictures and video... Especially when you consider the 800nits display (that the iPhone actually achieves, unlike many other phones that claim such high brightness) and this pretty small battery. I mean it's 2815 mAh. that's like nothing in 2020 and it still give you that much. That's some hardcore optimization. But yeah, a bigger battery (even if it's just the same 3046 / 3110 mAh from last year) would be nice.
Atleast America you can still go out my country is locked down and somehow the cases have gone up while economy still being depressed (in the Caribbean)
After much thought and consideration I cancelled my Pixel 5 pre order and picked up a 12pro pacific Blue. As much as I hate to leave Google's great software experience I think I'm done playing QC roulette with Pixel devices.
My Pixel 2 suffered from day one from a charging port issue where the charging cable doesn't really snap into place and simply slips off with any slight nudge...after 3 returns and being about a month and a half without a phone I decided to just deal with it since at the time my phone's camera was top notch, the dual front facing speakers were great and stock Android is just amazing.
3 years later it's time for an upgrade and I was genuinely excited for the Pixel 5.. until I started reading about the display gap issues and phones refusing to charge.
Here's to giving iOS and Apple another chance to sink their teeth since I had upgrade to my Pixel 2 from an iPhone SE.

I'm personally kinda glad that Apple sticks with 2x zoom because so you can zoom without having gigantic differences while zooming and always see those jumps between cameras like on ALL 4-5x zoom phones which just looks bad imo.
Siri is just bad and I am convinced it will always be that way, sigh, at least as long as Tim Cook is there. 😒
Always good stuff. Thank you. But a issue for me who is still a blackberry fan, "is the iPhone the overall best in hardware quality?". I think so. Isn't there room for better device quality on Android? Second question is a no brainer. If you are concerned about privacy isn't ios by far the most private?
The 11 Pro video looks imo better than the 12 Pro video. The 12 pro video looks soft, but the 11 Pro, especially that shot on the beach in hawaii testing out 5G, was sharp, high end quality. I don't know if this has to do with the conversion from HDR to SDR, or just that it was a cloudy day.
Yeaa...its all nice and stable but kinda smudgy looking, with halos on almost everything with a shinier surface. I dont know if its me, but all of the footage looks quite bad to me. And i have a 12 pro already ordered...which makes me a bit afraid. All the Note 20 footage for example ive seen, may have more shakiness to it, but the weird artifical wobbles and HDR flickering and smudginess is not present there. I dont like praise when its not on point, here, its not.
Fun fact: You can get all Google services on iPhone, including maps and assistant. On iOS 14 I just tap the back of my phone 3 times and I have Google Assistant appear through the courtesy of Shortcuts. Siri isn’t an issue if you don’t use her. It’s nice that the photos have caught up to Pixel, and the video continues to dominate all other phones.
I hope you do dive in detail about battery life given it has shrink and moreover it’s worst due to widgets and no apparent hardware changes. And really look forward for 12 pro max camera comparison to make my purchasing decision.
