Thank you for the detailed review! I ran in all 3 iterations of the Rival Fly and I'm somewhat conflicted about its future direction. The weight gain and adoption of Cushlon over Phylon in the RF3 suggests that the shoe is moving from a light & snappy ride to something closer to a daily workhorse. I've logged over 100 miles in my pair of RF3 and it certainly feels more like a Pegasus 36 'Lite' than a successor to the Zoom Elite series. I suspect that the RF4 will feature only minor changes in the upper, while the RF5 would be a significant overhaul of the shoe. It's unlikely that the RF will ever receive the ZoomX treatment given its humble price. Plus, the upcoming Streakfly will occupy that spot in Nike's lineup. That said, I do hope that the Rival Fly series would eventually feature React ... it's getting increasingly difficult to justify a SGD139 price tag for technology that's approximately two decades old.
I got my pair of Rival fly3 yesterday. Lucky to get size 9.5 as usually this size is not available in India. Had my first run today and it was awesome 😃. I have broad forefeet and this shoe had just perfect toe box for me.
Flater shoes are good to make u feel the ground and have better running form. U still see elites training in super thin shoes like the streak lt. It trains ur foot stregth too
You release a shoe like this when you have no competition. The problem it, there are lots of competitors. This is a niche product for those who liked the ride of older shoes. Everyone else has moved on. React has its issues as well but it's better than this EVA and far more durable.

I agree. It feels outdated compared to other lightweight trainers.
Just started running on Nike Run Club. Bought these today and hoping they are good for me. They look good I bought some red ones.

hi wanted to know if these are trainers ?
@@siddhantx740 Yes use them only as trainers. But you could easily run a HM with them as I did last week
@@anandnott5740 Should I consider them over Pegasus 38 or 39 ?
@@musketeers309 I have used pegasus 33 long ago. Rival fly3 has a better ankle support than pegasus otherwise similar.
@@siddhantx740 Yes they are trainers not meant for competition
Which one is better…Pegasus 38 or this😀
Should I purchase winflo9 or rival fly 3?
Are on running shoes good ?
The upper doesn’t look very breathable. Is this what you fee too?
Do u feel the midsole shoe doesn’t live up to modern midsole materials?
Hi, Thanks for your review. Do you know the stack of this shoes ? Thanks in advance for your answer.
As suggested Should I go for one extra size
May i know the toebox enough room or narrow like other zoom nike versions?
so good for 21k training?
ggod for half marathon?
Great review. Very esthetical shoe. Once you have the Rebel V2 there is no going back. I find my shoes with (old style) midsole boring and dead...

@@yankaitan8648 yep, for several reasons it's important to do workouts in minimalist shoes as well.
I just ordered the exact same shoe 😁
But is it better evoride 2?
No, the EvoRide 2 feels faster.
@@LawBrandon for 5km evoride feel faster?
my swoosh nike rival fly 3 is different from the video, he colour is black, i wonder why is that?
Which is better Pegasus 39 or rival fly for 10km and 21 km racing?

Agree. The Rival Fly 3 feels very old school and the midsole is dated.
React has EVA too
@@woofwoof7226 Maybe it does, I don't know. If so, it's a lot less than other Nike foams. Either way, not a fan of react.
Great video, keep it up
I think nike needs to move on from react and cushlon. Look at New Ballence, they have both fresh Foam x and fuel cell.
Can I buy women one and runnin them as there are not available for men ?
Rate this shoe out of 5
Please suggest best shoe for 100 meter sprint... it's urgent 🙏
Bro just search it on RUclips
Did he say 20k easy run 😮 bruh. I can’t run 20k period 😅
